Founding Farmers - Montgomery County
The food and service was exceptional during our visit. I am a huge foodie so I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!!
Loved the experience.
This is my second time at MoCo's Founding Farmers and both times were awesome! This time my server was great and the food was delicious of course! Gotta love those biscuits!
Just went this morning and had by far the worst service I have ever experienced. Will not be dining at this location again!
Order was a bit mixed up. Tried something new and wasn’t impressed. Not a fan of the new bamboo? Straws for kids
Four friends and I had a fabulous lunch at Founding Farmers-Montgomery County. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and offered very good menu selections. Our meals were fresh and perfectly prepared. We all had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit. I highly recommend Founding Farmers.
Waitress was horrible ignored me and my wife on our 20 wedding anniversary by attending to a white couple that was seated after us but directly next to US.
The waitress didn’t offer us anything to drank just dropped the menu off and left. She then seated the white couple next to us she asked them did they need anything , may I get you some water or something else. Then my wife look at me said are your serious right now. The waitress came around that and after ask did we need water, right next to us !!!
Really great food and service. I felt the drinks were on the expensive side but everything else was really good.
I came here for a work dinner and it was nice because some people were vegetarian and there was plenty of options for them to choose from. The specialty sodas were a big hit!
Mother’s Day dinner and the power went out and we were told to leave after about ten minutes. No apologies and not even allowed to order a drink. I realize the situation was not in their control, but it was poorly handled.
Lisa, I am very sorry this happened and that we failed to accommodate you. Sadly without electricity, we are not able to safely make any drinks or food, nor have the power to ring up items in the computer. :/ That said, we do hope to have you back for another try and I will send you a PM to keep in touch. -Amy
Server was very personable. Enjoyed the food. "Chips" appetizer was very good. The visit was made"unusual" by the fact that the power went out in the middle of dessert.
Food was good, but not for the price. Family of five, we spent over $100 for the meal. Service was excellent on a busy night
Great food, great area in potomac and great service. Unique menu with cornbread, southern chicken
Food was excellent. Great choices for vegans. Even though it was Mother’s Day and they wetter busy, we were not rushed.
Our visit was fine, everything went well. It wasn’t as I had imagined but overall decent.
Service and food were very good. Nice and variable menu selction.
2nd time to Farmers, I made a reservation for my wife and daughters on Mothers Day which was also my wife's birthday. Staff was attentive and kind, especially the manager who was making the rounds also. My only real complaint was that I asked the waitress if I could get my wife a small piece of birthday cake as a treat for my wife for her special day. All of us were full anyway because of the very good food. Every restaurant does this birthday treat as a courtesy but we were charged for a sorbet with a candle on it which I thought unnecessary. That kind of left us with a sour finish. Thanks for listening, John Walsh
Went for Mother's Day my mom and I thought the short ribs were very tender and yummy and the squash risotto was to die for and my daughter said it was the best hotdog she ever had. It was very busy but had reservations and did not what long. Very noisy so if you have hearing problems like my mom then it may be hard for you.
Great food and drinks! Service was weird. They brought our apps after the main course was delivered. I was hoping to go a bit slower with my food so made it feel rushed. However, they didn't charge us for the apps. but still, I would have rather eaten my apps slowly and then received my main course.
Having said that I will still go back.
Great place to have mother's day brunch. The food was fantastic as well as the service.
Food at Founding Farmers is very good. Even though the noise level is a bit elevated, I would still recommend the restaurant.
The staff will try to seat your party as soon as you arrive, and wait staff tend to you right away.
You will not be disappointed.
Always enjoy eating breakfast at Founding Farmer's. We had a reservation for Mothers day, table was ready on arrival, the servers are very friendly and attentive, the food was excellent-great Mother's day treat!
Thank you so much for sharing your kind words with us! We appreciate it and hope to have you back soon. -Amy
The food was amazingly good nice and hot and fresh and the server was awesome man my husband will definitely be going back for lunch or dinner
Did not feel special. Food was fabulous service was horrible. Will not be returning to this location.
Server was excellent and very attentive to how empty our drinks were. Offering refills and prompting if we would like anything to go. Incredibly patient when we took a while to order. Overall great experience.
We were a table of 7 that got seated a few minutes before a very large party. We were celebrating 2 birthdays. Our server put in our 3 appetizers at the same time as our 7 entrees so as a result everything came out at the same time. 4 of the entrees came out lukewarm so were sent back to heat up. The manager came over to apologize but nothing was done about it. It would have been nice to have some $$ taken off our check or a dessert or two. Subpar is the best way to describe our experience and we will not be going back nor would we recommend it.
My husband and I had a great dinner out. Roasted chicken is always a hit. Their mashed potatoes are amazing! I tried something new - the crazy corn chicken salad. It was good although I would ask for it without the caramel corn next time. We had great service. The noise level was quite high, which it likely always is - especially on a Saturday night. Great experience overall.
The carrot cake is delicious but it shrunk significantly. I was not expecting a sliver for $9.50.
My first visit was fantastic. Our server was excellent. The food was great. I noticed biscuits being delivered to other tables, they were to die for.
I ordered the chicken and waffles and they didn’t taste like the order I got in DC. I was a little disappointed.
Made a reservation online and the hostess couldn’t find the reservation. That was frustrating that it took awhile to prove that a reservation was made. I showed an email confirmation then we got a table. The restaurant was packed and reservations are needed.
Thank you, TTsv for letting us know and I am very sorry this happened! We appreciate your kind patience with the glitch in our system and hope to have you back for another try soon. -Amy
Food and service were great for our early Mother's Day brunch. Portions were huge, so get ready for leftovers or share with a friend. Wish they had a kids menu with smaller portions for the little ones.
Food was good, it was definitely an experience. The farm house ambience was delightful. Our server was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. The only downside sides were the noise and the lack of following the dress code(per open table) of the other patrons, most of which wore jeans and t-shirts.
We gave it raving reviews the first visit but this time we were slightly disappointed. No impossible meatloaf!!! The baked chicken tasted like it wasn’t completely cooked even though it looked like it was. The coffee was good but wasn’t served hot only warm. The hot chocolate taste like it needed more milk. I still love this place but this particular visit was.....just ok.
Had never eaten at this location - just as good as the others! Butternut squash risotto was excellent.
I love the restaurant and go often. However this was one of the worst meals I have had there. I had a Rueben. Unfortunately, 80% of the meat was fat. Also the fries were cold. I did say something and they gave us a free dessert; however, that did not make up for how bad the rest of my meal was.
I had the bourbon French toast with sausages. The frenchtoast, while delicious, was undermined by the thin syrup. The coffee was slightly bitter but hot and served with fresh cream. I love Farmers and use them regularly for business meals.
Our experience at Founding Farmers was excellent. We enjoyed an excellent chardonnay from Washington state. Our appetizers of Avocado Toast and Ahi Tuna Bites were very generous and delicious. Main courses were Salmon Meuniere and Spaghetti Squash. Again, generous servings and delicious. Our server did a super job of pacing things and answering all our questions.
Amazing breakfast, wonderful service. Always love Founding Farmers for work and for fun.
Thank you, Tricky! We are thrilled to read that your breakfast went so well. :) -Amy
