Founding Farmers - King of Prussia
First time in for lunch and exceeded expectations! Food was delicious with a reasonable price. Nicely done!
Went for the. H
We went for brunch on a Sunday, it was busy but we were seated quickly and the service was nice. Some items on the buffet were empty when we went up but were replenished by our next round. Some food was hot while others cold but it was all delicious. We will definitely return. Must save room for the chocolate ice cream!
Service was great. Food was excellent
We enjoyed an excellent Reunion Dinner with our family from N J. Mawren did an amazing job explaining the menu to all of us-she was very polite, gracious & accommodating & the food was absolutely fabulous... so fresh & tasty. We will be back!!😊
Fabulous and special drinks. Great food- fresh and fabulous- something for everyone. Different rooms with different feels.
Althought the brunch had a great variety of choices and was set up well, the food was not good, well-prepared, or the quality it should have been for the money. I would not return unless the quality of food improved quite a bit.
Hi WWWW: I am truly sorry to read that food was considered lacking & not well-prepared during your brunch visit with us this past weekend. :( I would love the chance to touch base about your review and will send you a DM with my email address. -Amy
This is the second time we've been to a founding farmers for brunch. Neither location adequately maintains that amount of food for their guests. Food was cold at some spots. Staff was wonderful when concerns raised. PA Location is too big to only have one area with food.
Soo much food to choose from! Not enough time to try them all.
Food was good but didn’t know the weekends were buffet brunch only rather than being able to order from the menu
We celebrated our friendsgiving here and it was wonderful. We had an 8:15pm reservation, but arrived early. Our table was ready within a few minutes. Everyone enjoyed their apps, entrees and deserts.
Hi KimberlyL: Hooray! Thank you for joining us and we appreciate your kind review & 5-STAR rating. :) -Amy
We ordered the cornbread, a fried chicken salad and a shrimp vodka pesto fettuccine. The shrimp pasta was amazing, but the cornbread was over baked and the chicken in the salad was dry and had too much breading.
Hi Angie: Thank you for your review. I am real sorry to read some of the items & dishes caused the food score to be 2/5, and would love the chance to touch base & hopefully make this right! I will send you a DM with my contact info. -Amy
Half of our food was phenomenal and half of it was borderline horrible. We got the baby cheeseburgers as an appetizer and they were delicious. The fries were amazing also. For our entrees my husband got the spicy fried chicken salad- the salad was Good- the champagne dressing was so incredibly tasty. However the fried chicken was so dried out and there was barely any meat, it was all fried crumb topping. Very disappointing. I ordered the crab cake with the fried chicken- same deal with the fried chicken- absolutely awful. The crab cake was pretty good. It came with coleslaw, which was mediocre and very chewy. The star of the plate was the street corn- absolutely incredible, so tasty!! So half of our items were delicious and half were horrible. I definitely wouldn’t recommend the fried chicken to anyone!!
Hi ValerieV: Thank you for your review, and I am so sorry to read there were inconsistencies with the preparation of the food ordered. :/ I would love the chance to touch base and hopefully turn this around! I will send you a personal note to hopefully cont this conversation. -Amy
Waitress very nice. Drinks very slow in coming — half group served, then 10 min later other half served. Same thing happened with dinners — big gap between two halves of group. I was served a dinner with charred black broccolini — not really edible — they did replace at my request. Large groups are hard, but service was worse than expected. We will try it again as food and ambiance overall was good
The brunch buffet was outstanding. Our guests commented that it was the best they’d ever had. Our server Angie was wonderful.
Ther brunch buffet had such wonderful variety of savory and sweet foods, with such high-quality preparation and flavor. Plenty of options if you’re trying to eat healthy. I usually don’t like buffets but I plan to go back to this one often!
Made a reservation at 9am for breakfast on black friday. I've been there before for breakfast and found the food good and well priced. I had family coming in from town, so we decided to meet there after shopping. Once we arrived, we found out it was buffet only and it was $28 per person ($15 for kids). They had alot of lunch type foods, but minimal breakfast foods (no omelettes, no regular bacon, etc.) They had alot of lunch food, but at 9am that is not what you want to eat. The worst part was drinks (coffee, milk) we extra per glass. It was the most overpriced breakfast I ever paid for outside of Disney World. My total bill after tip was $200 for 4 adults and two kids under 4 years old. Very disappointed in their breakfast selection and way overpriced.
We went for breakfast the day after Thanksgiving and we didn't know ahead of time that they would be doing a buffet. It was our first time ever eating at Founding Farmers.
At first we thought about trying somewhere else instead, because we aren't big buffet fans, but it far exceeded our expectations!
The spread was amazing and had something for literally everyone! We are now looking into the next time they offer the brunch buffet so that we can bring more family to check it out.
We loved our experience!
For a limited Holiday menu I would not recommend this food. The experience, location, ambiance was certainly promising, but the food.... meh.
Thanksgiving Prix Fixe Menu, promising but a heavily salted bummer.
Pros: Perfectly squeaky and delicious green beans and roasted sweet potato with nutty sweet savory sauce on every plate. Cranberry relish served with bread basket, FANTASTIC. Sweet corn kernals in cornbread made it feel like a home recipe. Salad with champagne dressing on the side was a good way to begin. Mashed potatoes were fluffy and bright. Desserts were delish, especially pumpkin cheesecake, and ooh that graham crust! The large booth was perfectly sized and set back from bar; well appointed so that the three generations could all hear without shouting; the noise of the festivities/TVs/patrons/kitchen were muted by the decorations and wall coverings. Well done!
Cons: Cold, not fluffy cornbread served in breadbasket; oversized square ice cubes piled over rim of low ball in cocktail was simply too much. The iceberg made it impossible to sip without getting a nose-full of ice, so had to remove it. One large ice square would have been sufficient. Limp leaves in soggy sloppy salad was unexpected. Maybe the soupy pickled radish and onions were meant to preserve the winter lettuces? The butternut squash soup was truly delicious but was so overly spiced with HEAT spice that it was as if I had just had a plate of hot wings and not a seasonal soup. Could have been so much better with much less HEAT-spice; soup was NOT made for the Common Good of the Commonwealth! Fried Chicken was D.R.Y. Creaky dry bites, stringy meat could not be made better by the white gravy. Stuffing was unappetizingly damp and so over salted it was a bummer, all five of us could not finish the small portion. Whitefish was also so oversalted with sauce I couldn't palate much more of anything. Chocolate cake rivaled the Fried Chicken for The Most Dry Dish award.
This is our second time having Thanksgivings Dinner at the King Of Prussia Founding farmers. We love it here !
Thanksgiving dinner was warm at best. The rolls were cold. The apple pie was downright cold. The ham was hard to chew. I was really disappointed.
Excellent food, service and ambiance for our Thanksgiving holiday dinner!
Hi AnnA: Thank you so very much! We are thrilled you celebrated Thanksgiving with us, and hope to have you back again next year. :) -Amy
Every item of food was served cold. One would think on Thanksgiving that you would get a hot meal, but that was not the case. Very small portions for the price. The dessert tasted like it had sat around for a while.
This was a fixed price Thanksgiving day menu. We were seated promptly, our server was sweet and attentive. However, I couldn't give it five stars because of the food. FF is usually on top of their game, but today the greens in the salad were wimpy and wilted, the white fish entree was dry and had a dull flavor. The vegetable sides were all pretty delicious, but I suggest adding mac and cheese to the sides for a proper Thanksgiving dinner. The pumpkin cheesecake was delicious but should be a little more dense. I just think for $40 per person, the kitchen was a little lax. Overall we had a nice time. Thank you!
Third time here. Food is very good. Service each time has been slow. I don't go there for a fast meal but service could use some work. Don't leave a credit card there. It takes forever for them to get back to you about whether they have it or not.
We did Thanksgiving Dinner there. It was a preset menu; I believe our entire party had each of every choice offered.
The food was fantastic and the service was great. There was a small miscommunication with the number and needs of our party, but the staff handled it and made sure we were taken care of. Again the food was delicious. The desserts were great. We will be returning for a regular meal at some point.
We went for the fixed Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was delicious. The place was surprisingly quiet for being completely booked.
Kitchen ignored our request for side items on a separate plate. Server apologized and offered to bring out to go boxes immediately.
Server Kayla was knowledgeable about the questions we asked about the menu, decorations and interesting tableware.
This was our first time at FF. We will definitely return even though there was a mistake.
I made reservations for Thanksgiving day, without thinking to ask about the menu. We had eaten here last Christmas, and we were able to order off of the main menu. Today was a limited menu, and it was $39 per person. I don't eat meat, so my choice was fish, or Impossible meatloaf. I also try to avoid dairy for ethical reasons, but since there weren't options for dietary preferences, I just ate what was served. It was a lot of food, and it was all good. The butternut squash soup was good, but really spicy hot. I love hot food, but weird to have this soup so hot. I picked pecan pie for dessert. If I'm paying that much money, I'm not going to pick sorbet! It was a bit dry, but still tasty. The service was professional, but felt rushed. Most good restaurants know that if 2 people are dining, you don't remove dishes until both people have finished. My husband rats slowly, as we all should, but he felt like he had to hurry.
The music started out at a good level, but became annoying by the time dessert arrived. The bathrooms have this nasty Dyson hand dryers that you dip your hands inside. All you get is everyone else's bacteria and viruses blown back onto your clean hands. They fail every test for hand dryers. Odd that the restaurant chooses to use them...especially for employees! Bring your own paper towels!
Thanksgiving was underwhelming.
Staff was very nice.
Everything was excellent
Another great meal at FF. We celebrated my mom's birthday with a delicious meal and dessert. Brittany was an attentive and thoughtful server.
This was my 1st visit to Founding Farmer and it was extremely positive. We were greeted with a smile and were seated promptly. The wait staff was inviting and helpful with the menu. We ordered the Pot Roast, Linguine and Shrimp. The entrees were delicious! The restaurant has several seating areas all very attractive. I am planning on returning and introducing other friends to the place.
Hi LuvtoDineout: Hooray!! We really appreciate your wonderful review. Our team looks forward to your return visit and please call us: (484) 808-4008. -Amy
It took 45 minutes to receive our entrées and we had to ask repeatedly. The salad did not have the shrimp deveined and the avocado had brown spots. The blue cheese bacon dates were outstanding!
The waiter got my order wrong 3 times. You can't even make this stuff up. The food wasn't good enough to make up for that.
I found what I still believe was plastic in my food but was told it was large squares of salt but they aren’t sure how it got there. Almost broke my tooth. Did not seem like salt to me. Very disappointed in our experience.
Kept running out of food had too wait ten minutes for some items. Also had to wait for plates.
Hi RonaldC: Thank you for sharing this feedback with us! I am very sorry your buffet experience fell short and I would love the chance to follow up about the long wait between items- food & plates. That said, I will send you a DM with my email address. -Amy
I love founding farmers restaurant. I have now been there for a special event dinner and brunch. The only reason I did not give it all fives was the bathroom situation this past Sunday. There was one out of three working bathrooms upstairs and since there is only one bathroom downstairs it was very uncomfortable. I wound up holding it and going somewhere else to the bathroom. For the amount of people going in and out of the restaurant there really should be more bathrooms.
