Good was just OK. Been here dozens of time and the quality of the food this time was just OK
Amazing as always. Their food is always great and super reasonable for the DC area. Will be back without a doubt!
Great food. Great service.
The napkins and plates were dirty, and it felt as if the waiters didn’t really care or as if they were in a hurry. Our food was not as good as we expected it to me, as it was extremely bland. The atmosphere was smelly and the seats were dirty.
This has been my number one dining experience of my vacation. The food was absolutely amazing (we got the ravioli and gnocchi) and drinks were also fantastic. Highly recommend.
This is my favorite restaurant. I LOVED THE BRIE FARMBREAD! I also loved the fresh tastes and unique combinations in the Corny Chicken Salad.
From the service to the food - Founding Farmers IT'S A MUST WHILE ON D.C.
THANK YOU!! :) We appreciate it and hope to have you back when next in town! -Amy
Our server last night was amazing!!!
Ordered the Sausage Mushroom Gnocchi. Delicious but way way too much sausage, virtually no mushrooms and not enough gnocchi. The sausage totally overwhelmed the dish. The shrimp and grits had a nice amount of shrimp but virtually no grits. Very weird.
Bummer. :( I'm so sorry these dishes both fell short one way or another. :( I'd love the chance to turn around your dissatisfaction this time, and ask you to please email me a copy of your review, date dined & location: Amy@FRG.Farm. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon! -Amy
Food was great. Was loud but we could still have conversation. They were understaffed and Donna was assigned too many tables but she still did great taking care of us.
We are on a family vacation. Everything was amazing from the atmosphere to the food. My children can be picky but they both ate and truly enjoyed their dinners. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to the DC area.
I think I may have just caught them on a bad night for short ribs because they were dry and everyone knows you have to try pretty hard to dry out short ribs. Everyone else really enjoyed theirs.
A favorite DC spot! Glad to see the pandemic hasn’t diminished the great food or service!
Founding Farmers definitely lived up to the hype! Pot Roast was tender and the fried onions made the dish. Watermelon ginger margarita was refreshing.
Eevrything was wonderful, from friendly greeting, to great service and food/beverages/dessert. Salad with shrimp perfect. Butternut squash ravioli fabulous. Recommend!
Nice seating area knowledgeable waiter and good service.
Food portions were pretty good for the price. I had the Braised Short Rib and it was incredible.
Excellent fresh food and terrific service. We had a delightful dinner.
Food was good, as usual, but the staff is what makes this place really great.
Love this place
Food is made on premises....even the maple syrup!
Delicious food and great service
Thank you, lallvla for your feedback! :) We appreciate it and look forward to having you back again soon. -Amy
Fun and fantastic food and service.
Chicken and waffles are superb
We got seated and then several other parties that got seated after us were waited on and had their orders taken and food delivered while we were still being waited to be greeted by a server. It was odd as we arrived before the other parties and only had two people in our party. We went to get the manager to let her know that we had been sitting as we were now running low on time because we had times reservation tickets (hard to get) to the museum and that cut us close for time. The manager didn’t apologize and also didn’t come over to check on us after we still waited to be approached by waiter. Then, someone came and asked us how we were doing but it was not the manager. She insisted on taking our order and did so promptly however, our waiter then came over after to apologize when he saw that someone else was waiting on us. The food was great, but the service was sub par. The managers who we complained to was very nonchalant about it.
Absolutely wonderful! We can’t wait to go back. The prices were reasonable and the serving sizes were great. This will be our go to brunch place for sure. We’ll try dinner there next!
Outstanding meal! Shrimp and Grits was an excellent choice. The goat cheese burger was melt-in-your-mouth good!
Only disappointment was that they were out of kettle corn as an appetizer!
Tables need to have an umbrella for each outside seating space when sun is out. Disappointed in the lack of technology used to notify guests when table is ready. Had I not bugged the hostess, i would have lost my place in line because they did not get my name correct when calling for my turn to be seated. Get with the times guys! Everyone texts their guests when their table is ready.
Our service was very good; food was disappointing, especially since the food at Farmers Fishers Bakers is wonderful, but our dishes were either too salty or not seasoned at all; chicken cutlet was bland and burned on one side, goat cheese ravioli was gummy; steak frites and chicken sandwich were over-salted. Appetizers (farm breads and crab/artichoke dip) were delicious as was the house made blood orange soda. Would give it another try and order different dishes, but it won’t be a first choice dining destination.
Hi Melissa: I am very sorry the food served was disappointing and failed to measure up this time. :( I'd appreciate the chance to follow up with you and ask you to please email me a copy of your review, date dined & location: Amy@FRG.Farm. Thank you and I hope to turn this around. -Amy
Service was a little slow but polite. Food was served promptly once our order was taken. Food was very good and plentiful.
Food was good, but expensive was a bit disappointing due to apathetic service.
Excellent service, excellent food!
So good we dined twice in the same week! Definitely eat here!
Your lemonade /icetea mix (the Arnold Palmer ) needs a lot of work
I was highly disappointed with this place. I took a relative who was in town and we had the worst service imaginable. The food was overpriced, small portions and marginal at best. I ordered a beer which the server said was out...then ordered another beer. After about 10min the server came back to say they were out of that one as well. I then ordered a third beer, one my friend had and it did not come until I was half way done with my food. The server never refilled our water, and never asked me if I wanted any other drink while I waited for my beer. I would avoid this place at all costs!
Thank you, Jamie for your review and I am very sorry the food, drinks & service all missed the mark this time. :( I'd appreciate the chance to follow up further and ask you to please email me a copy of your review, date dined & location: Amy@FRG.Farm. -Amy
The menu is great with a variety of good eats. Timing was perfect and it wasn’t crowded.
The food was delicious (seriously- those gnocchi were unreal) and the service was phenomenal. Truly a wonderful restaurant.,
The food was amazing! The prime rib was cooked to perfection. I rarely eat all of my meat portion of my meals-I ate the entire 10 ounces! I would visit again next time I am in DC.
Waiter was unenthusiastic and we began referring to the individual as a robot. Food was meh.
Oh wow. We are super sorry for the "robot" like service and under-whelming food encountered this time. :/ I'd love to connect and turn around the poor impression you left with! Please email me: Amy@FRG.Farm with a copy of your review, date dined & location. Thank you and I hope to be in touch soon! -Amy
Food was very healthy.
Enjoyed the experience. Variety of appetizers and interesting combinations on some of the entrees. We all had something completely different snd loved it all! Waitress made great recommendations for everyone’s taste.
Very busy holiday brunch may have contributed to our poor experience. Our server was assigned three new tables simultaneously, creating a delay in order taking. The kitchen messed up the first order, and the make good came after a long wait and contained egg shells which was the " final straw."
And the other orders, whole properly prepared, we're underwhelming.
I am very sorry for the disappointing outcome to your brunch visit on Memorial Day. :( I'd love to follow up with you and turn around our shortcomings with our service & the mishaps with the food ordered this time. This said, please email me: Amy@FRG.Farm with a copy of your review, date dined & location. Thank you and I hope to make this right! -Amy
