   Our waitress was ok but 3 of our meals were served and one came about 10 minutes later after the waitress went to check on it.

   Excellent service. Loved the street booths. Everyone was attentive, providing excellent service, conversation and after dinner advice. The food was excellent as it has been for every visit. Looking forward to another visit in July.

   The waiter had either had a extremely rough night or was high to the point of being unable to properly communicate, made it very awkward and uncomfortable. Have always had great experiences prior, but this was not acceptable.

   Made reservation for 6:15, but did not get seated until 6:40. Took a while to get drink order, then took longer while to take food order, and I had to ask for our food because we had to be at the Kennedy Center for a show at 8pm... Had to rush and eat, unable to order dessert for the birthday we were celebrating.... This restaurant takes too many reservations and does not maintain the time schedule...

   We have eaten here twice, once in 2017 and just yesterday 2022. Both times have been wonderful. The food is delicious with the farm to table feel. Highly recommend the Breads, Crisps and Chips appetizer and the chocolate sampler. The service was attentive, patient and accommodating. Everything we are in DC we will make a trip to Founding Farmers or one of their sister restaurants!

    Seated 30 minutes after reservation; waiter got food order wrong—an Impossible burger instead of a veggie one—and essentially ignored us save for a few perfunctory visits; service was so slow we almost missed our event.

    Food was good. They did bring the wrong meal to one of us. Then took about 15 minutes for someone to walk around with the replacement meal, but they could not find us, so instead of asking our waitress where we were, they just threw out the meal. Saw our waitress 5 minutes later and complained. She said we would be comped that meal and the manager said we could still get a new meal to go in 2 minutes. Took about 10, but we did get it. If waitresses or waiters would deliver the meals, this would have been resolved quicker. Don't know why the food can't be delivered by the folks who take the order.

    Great Birthday meal before a show at Kennedy Center. Server had excellent advise and really knew the menu… always have the cornbread skillet … highly recommend.

    Lunch outdoors was very enjoyable. It rained part of the time, but the outdoor roof kept us dry. My fried chicken salad was excellent, and my friend loved her fried chicken and waffles, which looked delicious. I am planning to return soon, especially because the outdoor dining at this restaurant is perfect.

    We share the Bread, Crips and Chips appetizer - it had a good selection of dips and the chips and crips were good. The bread was amazing. We really liked the pimento cheese. I had the braised short rib dinner and went full carbs with the sides - mac & cheese and street corn. All of it was delicious. My husband had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beens. Also delicious. We wanted more for dessert but were pretty stuffed so we had a chocolate chip and a snickerdoodle cookies. They were perfect. The service was great and our food was delivered quickly.

    The only restaurant we eat at arriving and departing DC. Never a bad or mediocre meal. Wait staff is prompt and friendly. Will be back in September and will try something different on the menu!

    The food was very fresh but the flavor just wasn’t there. It was very busy so the service wasn’t great either. Also almost everything that was brought out was taken to the wrong table. It was just very disorganized.

    Took a long time to be seated (about 15 minutes after our reservation time) and then the service was pretty bad. Our server came by twice - one of the times having to be flagged down to ask for the check. The food took forever to come out, and the entire lunch took well over an hour (an issue I have never had in the other times I’ve dined here). Additionally, the food today missed the mark. Perhaps because they were really busy or something, but it was just not a good experience at all. It was incredibly disappointing considering the amazing food and service every other time.

    Disappointed. Location, service and food all very average to poor. If you are looking for something special or unique in DC. This is not it. Would not go back. Service was abysmal. Felt abandoned and had to go find our own silverware and napkins at service station. Find someplace else!

    Server was the same one we had a few days ago. Great guy and accommodated my friend with her food allergies. Wish we had gotten the outdoor seating we had requested, but it was a beautiful busy night—so it was understandable. Bathrooms need more attention, but otherwise GREAT.

    One of my favorite staples, always get the same meal. Food was hot and consistent every time. Went on Father's Day, and the service was the slowest I ever received out of all the times I went, although it didn't seem crowded/over-crowded at all. I always attend with a confirmed reservation.

    I ordered the Chicken and Waffles for brunch, and I received 3 TINY chicken tenders. I definitely had more waffle than chicken. Now, the chicken was great, with its spoonful of gravy on the side, but the waffle was more than crispy and the eggs were standard. Just not impressed. My spouse ordered french toast, and it looked like deep fried tofu. It was more like fried cake. I just expected more from others' reviews. Maybe we should try it for dinner... ?

    The food was delicious. Exactly as described on the menu. You can tell they take pride in the food served. I had the eggs Benedict and the eggs were perfectly poached. My son had the stuffed French toast and said it was the best French toast he ever had! The service was also top notch. All around a great dining experience.

    House Manhattan is to die for! Also enjoyed the very fresh and tasty salmon and the unexpectedly good steak and enchiladas. Beignets for dessert are the icing on the cake. Great service as well. We were trying to make a concert at the KC and staff was excellent in getting both our food and check to us quickly. We even asked to move outside tables due to the wine and that request was honored as well.
