    Exceptional service, great hostess and staff. Our waiter was amazing and provided very good insight on what to try since it was our first time. We enjoyed all of the food and drinks, especially the peach Bellini, we will definitely be back again soon

    Visited two mornings in a row while in town on vacation. Food was great and cooked to perfection both times. Service was top notch upstairs the first morning and mediocre the next. The hostesses both mornings were poor first impressions. The floor managers were borh excellent and kept a good eye on customer experience

    Our table was 40 min late , so we had to wait in a very crowded bar area. We’re not offered a complimentary drink. The food was mediocre. The crispy fried chicken was not crispy bur chewy and the salmon dry. It was Thanksgiving evening, so busy a busy day for them, but still, they could have done better.

    We made our reservation well in advance, about two months before Thanksgiving, yet we had to wait for one hour to be seated. The entrance was packed with people waiting to be seated as well. We think the restaurant welcomed walk-ins while the customers who had made a reservation had to wait a long time standing up. Furthermore, once we were seated, several of the menu options for dessert were already gone. We wanted chocolate cake and they had run out of it. It was an incredibly disappointing experience, to be honest.

    Amazing! Great Thanksgiving meal. The restaurant overbooked our reservation for 7:30 pm, but we weren't seated until 8:30 pm. The staff was pleasant, and the food was tasty.

    There were management issues regarding reservations and crowd control. Also, the food was not warm or hot when it was served, and we were sitting inside. I might go back on a non-holiday, just to see if the restaurant is managed any better, but NEVER again on Thanksgiving.

    My wife and I decided to visit DC for our thanksgiving. One of our concerns was what we would do for a thanksgiving meal, and Founding Farmers came through with a wonderful and complete feast. We were treated like family with rockstar service and excellent food. Thank you!

    Came to Washington over Thanksgiving, and made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner at Founding Farmers. Our reservation was for 6:15, but didn’t get seated to almost 7. There wasn’t a lot of restaurants offering Thanksgiving dinners so they were back up. Once seated though it was awesome. The amount of food served for $45 was insane. Starting with the bread plates, the corn bread was soooo good, then my son and I had the butternut squash soup while everyone else had a salad. We all ordered turkey as our meat, but there was at least 6 different offerings. Our turkey came with cornbread stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes and a sweet potato, brussel sprouts and cranberry sauce. Everything was delicious! I wish I could’ve eaten everything but it was so much. Then the desserts….. I had Pecan pie, which looked like 2 slices with ice cream, also tried at the table were pumpkin pie, apple-cranberry pie, and pumpkin spice cheesecake. We travel to different places every year on Thanksgiving, and this was by far my favorite dinner served!

    Had to wait 30 minutes for a table with a reservation but I figure it was Thanksgiving so that might be the norm. Food was amazing but it was very rushed. Starters came out and food was right behind it barely giving time to finish one. Then we waited ages for dessert to show up. Waitstaff was great.

    The prime rib was amazing. The Thanksgiving sides plentiful and delicious. Minus there being no cream-pies :( the food proportions were very generous and the whole meal felt like a great deal. The wait staff was friendly despite the busy atmosphere. We enjoyed our interactions with all staff members, enjoyed the food (although the ham was pretty standard), and enjoyed the warmth and bustle of the ambiance. A great place for a meal!

    I realize that Thanksgiving is a very busy time for restaurants and having timed sittings help make things flow better but we were dotted 15 minutes late. No one spoke to us about a late sitting, I had to continually. The menu choices were great but it seemed my guests had different portions(the order the same plate- salmon). One had a nice portion of green beans and cranberry sauce and the other had barely any beans and no cranberry ( what’s thanksgiving dinner without cranberries). Also our carrots and parsnips on all plates were not completely cooked. Otherwise, the bread choices (more butter please) were great- biscuits were superb. Our waitress was awesome( sorry- can’t remember her name)! The music was a bit loud especially with such a large crowd. But all in all- we had a pleasant time and the food was good. Makes our thanksgiving pleasant- appreciate the work of the staff.

    We were there Thanksgiving and it was really well done! They had a price-fixe menu for the occasion and that kept everything moving on an extremely busy day. All the food was delicious and the sides really were well done. Our waitress could not have been any better and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

    We booked for indoor, we had to eat outside. Food came cold. They ran out of certain things. My family was freezing. Some manager had the bright idea of putting ice cream to go on top of a pie. By the time, I got home. The pie was soggy. I will not return there.

    We went for Thanksgiving. Our waiter Kevin was pleasant and attentive, but because of of the holiday service there might have been some communication issues with the back of the house. Our order came out to our table out of sequence. The bread, which IMO, should have came out during the soup and salad did not make it to the table till we were done with our main course. Everything seemed delayed. Our plan is to return and try this restaurant again during a "normal" day.

    The Thanksgiving menu was wonderful…so many options. The service was excellent even in the holiday rush. The only negative comment I could make was the prime rib was tough and difficult to eat. The sides and desserts were excellent!

    We were blown away with the experience that we had at the Founding Farmers. The food was fresh and delicious!  The staff went out of their way to wish us happy anniversary at least 10 times if not more, and it felt heartfelt every time and we were so appreciative of it.  The staff worked in unison to handle the large crowd and we were so impressed on how everything was handled! We’re only here in Washington DC for a week, and we are so glad that we picked Founding Farmers for the celebration of Thanksgiving, and our anniversary. We can’t thank them enough for making us feel special. Thank you!

    My first visit to Founding Farmers. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. We made reservations for 2 with standard seating via open table. The only drawback was that the table was too small and way too close to other tables. I'm not interested in hearing other people's conversations. I will revisit but only if I can reserve a booth. I hive them a 4 out of 5 for overall experience.

    We had a reservation and after checking in got seated right away. The restaurant and bar area were pretty crowded but not totally full. After a few minutes someone came over and served us water. He said our server would be right with us. Shortly after our server arrived and took our orders. I got the chicken and waffles, which came with green beans and Mac&Cheese. Here is my only small issue with this meal. The Mac&Cheese was nowhere hot and just barely warm. Everything else was outstanding, including the maple cinnamon syrup for the chicken and waffles. My wife had the shrimp and grits with andouille sausage. It was cook just right and seasoned even better. We rarely order dessert, but the salted caramel cheese cake sounded to good to pass up. If you think the picture looks good, the taste was 10 times better. There are lots of good restaurants in DC and Founding Farmers is definitely on that list.

    All three of our foods were cold. At the end the manager brought me a small bowl with some of what I had order but I that point I felt like we were getting kicked out, had 3 bags of food in a tiny booth, just not comfortable. At that it felt like we’re being rushed for everything, we didn’t have our appetizers yet when we’re getting hustled for our entree/dinner plates,
