   We were there on a Sunday morning for a 10:45 reservation. We arrived to a crowd of people waiting to eat. Despite the large number of people, we were at our table by 10:48 and drinking coffee a couple minutes later. The service was great and the food was awesome!

   First time guest. Recommended by a colleague. The overall experience was fantastic. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Randi, our server, was personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. My old-fashioned was one of the best I have had the blackened catfish, outstanding and the chocolate cake dessert some of the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely return and highly recommend. Added bonus as a North Dakota resident was uncovering the connection they have with North Dakota sourced foods.

   We arrived early for our reservation. Said we would sit at the bar and have a drink which we did. Had a chat with a lovely barman ordered our drinks and were served them. A member of staff came over and said that they had a table for us but that we would have to close the bar tab before being shown our table. Barman was busy so took a minute but got that done searched and found staff member to say we were ready, confusion from her as she had shown someone else to our table. This was sorted and we were taken to our table. Food was of a satisfactory standard. Ordered House Salad. Ordered wine arrived promptly by barman. Salad took 40 minutes to arrive. Further 50 minutes for next course (Hotdog, Pasta dish). Which arrived and basically dumped in front of us. Ordered wine from server Ate main course Wine arrived after I had eaten , disappointed. Table of 4 who arrived just after us were finished well before we did. as did another table of 6, using those experiences we felt we had extremely poor service. The person who delivered our food to the table in such an ill mannered way, was either not trained for customer focused role or was feeling under appreciated. Should the server not have noticed we had such a slow service . I gave feedback back to staff Given chocolates for the wine error.

   Founding Farmers is always a great option! They are always busy but very efficient with seating, ordering, and serving quality food and drinks.

   It’s prom season so it was pretty noisy. But the service was excellent. Byron offered great recommendations he was patient and very professional.

   The food was great for my guests, but my fish was very small vs the trimmings/sides. On top of that it was too spicy and not pleasant. The other dishes, steak was good but the meatloaf was not so great. I guess I had higher expectations.

   Went here on a recommendation from an acquaintance, for great food in an energetic atmosphere and a fun neighborhood. Delivered across the board!

    If you're in DC, this is a MUST stop for a meal (or two)! Food: The menu is extensive, and you might worry, "With a menu this large, could it really all be that good? Wouldn't a smaller menu indicate more expertise in the food they're making?" Drop that thought immediately. Everything is DELICIOUS. The food and drinks are scratch-made, and it shines through in the quality and taste. A few things our group ordered and really loved: The corn bread, the buttermilk biscuits, the cheeseburger, the devil-ish eggs, the salads. For dessert: The peanut butter, coconut, and keylime pies are all big hits. Their chocolates are also wonderful and the perfect souvenir/gift to bring back home. Service: Our waitress, Sanovia (Snow), was phenomenal. Her knowledge of the menu was unmatched. She was friendly, attentive, kind, engaging, and felt like a friend by the end of our meal. Our group was large, but she took us on with grace and didn't bat an eye. She deserves all the praises, raises, and acknowledgment! Location: Can't beat being right on Pennsylvania Avenue in the heart of DC! They have several other DC locations, but I've heard this is the best. The company: We loved that Founding Farmers is majority farmer-owned, and they care about sustainable farming, from taking care of the earth, treating animals humanely, and taking care of their employees. Our dinner turned into a 3-hour meal, which felt more like an experience. I will be coming back here anytime I'm in DC!
