Amazing ambience. However, hard to get somebody's attention to let us into the Private area. Had to go to two different managers to get access. Also, after I had made a reservation and was seated at my location for an hour, I was alerted by staff that the next reservation was coming in. Move to the bar and the next reservation never came. Pretty low quality if you asked me.

low-key a flop. vibes are kinda strange. why room so tiny? seating is awkward configuration. did not have ample room to caress my mistress, sad.

The ambience is nice, albeit a little dark to read the menus. The signature cocktails are interesting and there are a lot of different spirits to try. The food menu is very limited, but we were able to make a meal out of the offerings. Unfortunately, we had extremely slow table service. We were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water by the hostess before we were seated. The server came over after about 15 minutes to deliver menus and ask if we wanted still or sparkling water. Water came about 15 minutes after that and was never refilled. 30 minutes in, we had water and were finally able to order a drink. Service continued to be painfully slow throughout the evening for our table of four. We ended up being there for almost 3 hours and not because we were slow to make decisions.

The cocktails were severely overpriced for what they were. The ambiance was great and a cool vibe. The service was awful. We wanted a second drink but the server took forever to come around. I eventually waved someone down and asked for our check. $63 for two cocktails after tip, would have been over $100 for four drinks if the service would have been more on it.

Josiah was a great host. We enjoyed his knowledge and recommendations. The Kyoto in Seattle was wonderfully refreshing. The anticipation of walking behind the bookcase was an amazing surprise! Awesome speakeasy. We'll definitely recommend to visitors.
