Awesome atmosphere and a cool place to see and hang out
A little torn on how to rate this place. The food and cocktails were great, but we had to ask for water (twice) before it came to our table. The table height to banquette seat height is way off (should be 10-12 inches, was more like 8 and really uncomfortable.) I couldn’t cross my legs and I had to hunch over the entire time I ate. The music was way too loud as well. My husband admitted after that he couldn’t hear half the dinner conversation. In general, the place seemed confused. The asian inspired cuisine doesn’t match the loud mexican music. And the decor is a bit of a stretch. I’ll be interested to see how long it lasts considering it’s off-the-beaten path location.
Came with a group of friends to celebrate my husbands homecoming from Air Force training. Great ambiance and great drinks! We got the flask and it was so delicious! Would recommend!
May have just been a tough night and I think they were short staffed, but while the food was exceptional, the overall experience was rough. We had made reservations for 4 for 7:30 on a Saturday. 2 of us arrived at 7:15 and were show to a high top with seating for six but only chairs for 5. Another couple joined and took two of the seats, so when the other 2 in our party arrived at 7:30 there was no chair for one of them. One of us stood for 20 minutes. The hostess (who was admittedly pleasant and apologetic) served our table but there were numerous mistakes with the order and timing. The evening was saved by the excellent food and drinks, but I likely would not return.
Service was so slow. Our food was delivered to the wrong table, wine came at different times and had to remind server we were missing them (as we shared one glass tat made it to us). Restaurant compensated us for all the mix ups.
The food and drinks were good however service was slow/spotty. This place is more Bar than restaurant and the food was “tapas” but had a very limited selection. It’s a neat looking and fun bar but you’ll be disappointed if you’re expecting a restaurant. Maybe this place will be a hot spot once Lincoln Yards is developed- if it can last that long.
Really cool atmosphere. Unique dining experience at a reasonable price. My only critique was the service - we had to ask for water and ask people to grab our server so we could order another drink/more plates.
Went for brunch - it was delicious! Maybe with the change in weather it's less busy, but it was nice and relaxing without a big crowd there. Their crowd is mostly at night; bar hours since it's a gastropub. Only curious thing was that the grilled pineapple was cold - like chilled, so guessing it wasn't freshly grilled.
This place is all about small plates to share. If you eat a lot and don't like sharing, it could get costly.
Great place! Went as a date before visiting a local pumpkin patch. The food was great but it was disappointing to see such small portions for how expensive it was. The few bites we had were amazing! + Our server was very nice!
A real nice place - but small, noisy and limited menu items (mostly Tapas). We ended up going to another place for main dinner. Drinks were the best - tapas dishes were good but small portion size for the price they charge. It is worth experiencing this place once in wicker park (isolated area) but easy parking available
Excellent food and great atmosphere! Will def go again
This is great place! I'm glad I found it! Delicious food and wonderful staff!
Great service great food super cool interior
The design of the restaurant is amazing. The staff friendly. Tapas style brunch was fun!
interesting food. Very dark inside. Good service.
Ambiance was great! The food was inspiring and well thought out. It's tapas style (small shared plates) and they were all exceptional. The staff was lovely and very accommodating. I will go again and take a group of friends next time. This visit was a date night and it was a perfect choice. Highly recommended.
I LOVED this hidden gem! The food and cocktails were PHENOMENAL!! Great experience and will definitely be returning!! THANK YOU!
My husband and I had a date night here and we loved it. We had the elote fritters, califlower, skirt steak and rock shrimp. The rock shrimps ness our favorite! And we each had the rose sparkling. It was a great night and not too expensive. The service was great but the decor stole the show. The willow tree is amazing. A really beautiful. My only complaint is how dark it is. I get that it’s a “fort” but wow, we could barely read our menus.
Fun decor but the food options were limited and the shared plate model doesn't really work for such a small, egg-focused menu. Despite the fact that there were not many other diners in for brunch when we went, several dishes took a very long time to come out (toast with an egg, and french toast - neither time consuming) and same with drinks (including a glass of juice that required no prep). Would not recommend.
Great drinks and service in Wicker Park. If you and your friends like small plates this is the go to spot to start your night. Keep things light while you sip on handcrafted cocktails.
Great new find tucked away in a area of Chicago we never frequent. Cocktails were great and the bartender was helpful in making drink and food selections. They have great weekly specials
