The brunch menu was unique and there's only 1 standard plate. The drink menu was ok, not a wide selection for brunch. Service was ok, nothing special.

Service was excellent. The goat milk cavatelli pasta dish was very rich and full of flavor. The Duroc pork belly was delicious but portion size was quite small. The Coppa ham and rye was nothing special and not recommended. The Garlicky Hearth Grilled Prawns(only 4 prawns) were overcooked and did not have the expected wood grilled flavor. The house "Daytona" bourbon cocktail was refreshing and smooth. Prices were quite high considering portion size for the "share plates".

Trust Restaurant is still our favorite!

Enjoyed the food imensly, we all shared the Brsnzino, shrimp, ahi poke, endive salad, quail and pork, loved it all.
We were celebrating a birthday and mentioned it at end of meal, but nothing was offered.

It was my birthday dinner and our server suggested the most amazing dishes.
My favorite was the Charred Caulilini. It had so much flavor. My friend had the pork chop and she really enjoyed it. My only disappointment was they did not have a rose by the glass but that did not stop me from giving them 5 stars!

Our waiter was distracted and it felt as if we weren't worth his time. He took our order and our menus, then walked away. Came back after ten minutes and asked us if we were ready to order. Our dozen oysters became a half dozen, and when we asked for the full order, they overcharged us as if we had ordered two half dozens (the manager corrected the overcharged when we brought it to his attention). They told us the Baja oysters were Briny, but they tasted as if the kitchen had added table salt. We needed every condiment provided to make them edible. My husband asked for his steak to be cooked to medium, but it arrived very rare. Our steak knives arrived 5 minutes after we had been sawing through our meals with butter knives. Also, when I made the reservation, it said only outdoor seating was available, however throughout our meal, several indoor tables remained unoccupied. Overall I would have expected better from a place that is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in San Diego and charges like it. We will not be returning, and I will recommend others steer clear as well.

I can't imagine a more perfect choice for our anniversary dinner. From beginning to end this was a outstanding experience. The service is great but food is the real star here. Don't miss the carrots. Already planning our next visit.

Beautifully designed restaurant. Service was top notch. The five dishes we had, Oysters, Scallop Aguachile, House Ham, Chicken Fried Quail and Goat Milk Cavatelli were all very good to excellent. Their cocktail list is very creative, and I'd highly recommend the Mezcal Cocktail to anyone who is a fan of that spirit. I look forward to returning to try numerous other items on their vast menu. Great place!

I made a reservation to celebrate our son’s recent accomplishment. When we arrived they showed us to our table and my husband asked to be seated at the adjacent table because it was closer to the window and brighter. My husband has vision issues and that was the reason for the request. The hostess said she was unable to accommodate us. The table sat vacant for at least 50 minutes while we proceeded to order and begin dinner. The food was very good and we shared the ribeye as part of our meal. We ordered the steak medium rare and while very flavorful the steak was definitely cooked medium. We weren’t able to finish the steak and asked for a to go box. We were disappointed the next day to find that they did not box up all of the leftover steak.

Called about 6 times to modify my reservation (day of the weekend/time) and they were VERY accommodating. We also were originally slated to sit outside (we thought it would be a gorgeous SD day), but it was raining and they called to let us know it might be snug since they were having to move everyone outside in, but that they would still honor our reservation.

Charming place with fantastic cocktails, full flavored entrees and shared plates with special care taken to heighten vegetables to decadent status. Highly recommend the Scallop Aguachile and the Caulilini.

Fort Oak is a wonderful new find! Perfect for a special celebration. We enjoyed our seats at the Chef's Table; staff very friendly, food delicious. The coppa ham plate will be my go-to every time I return!

Would not recommend for families with children, especially small children.

Went there with friends for the first time. None of us were disappointed! The pork chop was phenomenal, probably the best I’ve ever had. The Pear Crisp was a delightful way to end the meal.

The food was good. (not great) The wine was great. My issues are the attitude of the receptionist, the noise level in the dinning room and most of all, the 4% BS added to the bill. As long as 4% is being added to the bill, we're done with Trust Group restaurants. The loss of a few stars in a rating is no big deal...The loss of two customers should be a concern.

We were a big gruop. Our reservation was at 8:00 pm and we got seating around 8:30 the wait was all worthy. Great food. Amazing service and perfect atmosphere.

Service was unenthusiastic and unfriendly. Maybe an off day for the waitress but not a good experience. Pork chop was outstanding, burnt carrots were burnt- did not see the point of charting all the flavor out of them and black veggies are not that appealing. Lighted sign over door leading into dining room is very confusing as it’s not the front door and 3 employees treated us as if we had interrupted their break instead of acknowledging an obvious error caused by the signage.

Fort Oak was by far the best dinner we have had of 2020, lol, I know it's only been 3 weeks, but, in all seriousness, my wife and I ate here on Sunday January 19th and it was by far the best dinner we have had in a long time. We booked a later seating time and the way our day lined up we ended up getting to the area MUCH sooner than we had planned. The hostess was gracious and accommodated our nearly 2 hour early arrival (hot tip: we are 'Dry-January' and told them they wouldn't have a problem flipping the table :)
We were sat in the chic main dining area and greeted by a very friendly waiter Robert, my wife was very excited that their sparkling water of choice was Too-Chico, for those that know it's by far the best, things were off to a good start. Robert recommended 4 dishes, the Caulalalini, the Tuna Crudo, the Prawns and the Duroc Pork Chop. I'm not going to go into a ton of detail of each dish, but, the most impressive part of the meal was that we absolutely LOVED all three starters and the star of the show was the Pork Chop! Pro Tip: anything w/ 'Charred' 'Grilled' etc. are their specialties! Now I just need to make an excuse to get back to SD

Popped in here for brunch with some girlfriends. Everyone’s food was great. The portions are big. The space is very cool. There’s the brightly colored bar with wood hanging from the ceiling, an outdoor patio, an indoor dining room, and open kitchen if you want to watch the masters at work.

A third visit, I love this place, however, this time the food was good but not great. A risotto dish with morel mushrooms off the menu was just okay but I really cannot explain why-just not quite there with the flavors. Carrots great as always, beef tartare good, copa ham amazing, sour dough bread not as good as last time, has to be served hot-butter is excellent.
Ambiance is very good here-it is a happy place.

our waitress was nice, that was the best part. check in was met with a lot of attitude. not happy that opentable has their default seating for outdoor - found out when i got there.
