Forque Kitchen and Bar- Hyatt
Forque is just OK. It is a hotel with sits inside the Hyatt Downtown, so I guess it is on par with most hotel restaurants. I wasn't too particularly impressed with service or the ambiance. The only reason we ate there was because we were at the hotel for a special event, otherwise I would never give this restaurant a second look.
I was with a party of eight, so I'm writing only for myself. My partner and I had the barbecued pork quesadillas; she had a cup of soup of the day and I had one of green chile stew. All were fine. The Forque has accommodated my theatre goers group many times in the PDR (Private Dining Room). We frequently arrive before the kitchen opens at 5:30, and they've often found a waiter to fetch us drinks from the bar. Altogether a very good long term relationship.
Late dinner. Food was very good
Expensive, slow service, rude watier, bar quality food.
Not worth it.
Excllent rib eye, excellent bourbon, date enjoyed her meal too. Our server was excellent too. He made sure our evening was uneventful, but the meal was delicious and will be returning again! Nice and quiet no noisy kids to distract. Keep up the good work!!
The service was excellent but for Thanksgiving meal he was pretty average.
Forque was less crowded and less expensive than Thanksgiving buffets in the past. Desert table was still great, but overall variety was downsized. I missed the crab claws that were one of the things I was looking forward to. Overall, with the help of cocktails, wine, and good friends it was an enjoyable holiday meal.
Everything went well on our 1st visit. Our waiter was Glenn and... well, he needs more personality. Aside from this, at the end of our time there, we mentioned we’d like to add a drink. He mumbled something and walked off. Never came back. We ended up not getting a drink & closed our ticket with a different server. Step it up, Glenn!
The food was great as always. The service was a bit challenging because there was a conference in but your team members did what they could. It did feel like we got lost in the shuffle and had to ask for service about 20 minutes after being seated.
Service was poor. Two pasta dishes served cold. When brought back to table had only been partially reheated. No water refills.
Great food, pleasant staff!
Wo0nderful Service and Excellent food. I liked the atmosphere so much, I came back again during my stay in Albuquerquie.
This restaurant was recently added to Open Table after an absence of a few years. The menu for Mother's Day had a few selections plus a salad and desert open bar selection. The menu was not clear if both coffee and juice were included.
We had a business meeting reservation for 9 people at 12 pm. We arrived around that time to see couple of groups of people standing outside with no host to attend anyone. Had to look for a server and I showed him my reservation. He informed me that there is a mix up and we don't have a table for you. Talking with someone else they arranged the bar seating to host our party, but that was no where near the experience I was expecting after receiving the reservation confirmation.
The server who was at our table was really nice and quick, but the first person we talked to - didn't know how to handle the situation. Most definitely will not eat at this restaurant again.
Experience was terrible. We were seated at 7p. We ordered a salad, pizza, kids mac'n'cheese, and a half rack of ribs along with two beers. The bartender came over 10 minutes after we ordered the beers and informed us one was out (7:15ish). The server came back twice (over another 15 minute span) before finally bringing the beers (25 min wait today for first drink). We ordered 10 minutes after arriving in the restaurant (7:10ish). The server brought my salad around 7:40. The server came back at 7:50 to inform us that the ribs weren't available. She brought a menu back. It was 8:00 before my three year old got her kids mac'n'cheese (this was Kraft, not homemade or anything special) - a 50 minute wait for kid's meals when I received a full dinner salad at 7:40p. At 8:15 we received the pizza, but at this point the server never asked if we wanted to order another meal, so I ended up giving my pizza to the other guest. We didn't bother ordering another beer for fear that would take too long.
I would go to the bar only for drinks if you want to chill out. Definitely wouldn't order food there, again.
Went for a birthday lunch, I had the Duck bacon burger and it was nice. Nice setting and had a great time.
Ate there for the convenience factor since we were attending a concert at 8pm. Had reservations for 6:45, ordered by 7, and didn't have our food until almost 7:40. Was not busy at all.
Ended up only eating half my meal due to time constraints.
We each had a salad and shared the Taos pizza. Everything was really good. The waiter promptly brought Chile pepper flakes and some lovely parm shaving gs when asked. Highly recommend!
Everything from the time we walked in to the time we left was horrible. We sat probably 10 mins at least to get greeted, then the server was so un0leasant, not busy at all and almost obsolete. When we ordered drinks the bar tender came out and was so unprofessional telling us about the wines. Food took over an hour to come out we ordered 3 different meals. The burger was over cooked and not great, fish and chips plane, probably the only one good enough to eat. The server got the sides wrong on two meals. I ordered the carbonara and it was completely tasteless. We sent one back and he left with out eating. The restaurant decor was the only thing nice about the hole place. It was an unbelievable experience. They had to go out of there way to ruin our night it was that bad. Super expensive for what we had. And super loud deffiantly no sound baring walls. Echoed badly. So in all we were insulted, food was baf. Server was outstandingly bad. No manager. Plus all the other workers that walked by had no concept of what was going on around them.
