For Our Gluten Free Diners we highly recommend reserving gluten free dough. In our effort to serve the best and safest quality product our gluten free is available in limited supply, we strive to always have it available sometimes demand is greater and we do run out.
Vera Pizza Napoletana is made with a soft dough and takes about one minute to cook in a Wood-Burning oven. Because of this Pizza Napoletana has several distinctive characteristics. Pizza in Napoli is soft and foldable and can be considered “wet” by American standards. For this reason, people in Napoli generally eat their pizza with a knife and fork. Blackened char spots on the pizza crust is a tell–tale sign of Pizza Napoletana that has been cooked in a blistering hot, wood-burning oven. Each Pizza is an individual work of art.

I heard that gluten free crust was award winning and it did not disappoint. We had a group of 8 with the majority of us being vegan. Everyone enjoyed their food and our server Terasita was amazing.
A small, but lively restaurant in West Loop with a large selection of individual-sized pizzas made in a blazing hot, authentic pizza oven. Must try some appetizers!

I got the white truffle pizza as the specials and it was THE BEST PIZZA I’ve had in! Thing crust, soft dough, and the truffle is just amazing!!!!! Can’t get over it! Our server is patient, humorous, and and patient. I will need to come back again!
The food is exceptional - tied to the incredible quality of the ingredients more than anything else. There is a real focus on this - and you can taste it. Service is good - professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The wine list is a touch narrow in scope with a heavy focus on old-world wines, but that's consistent with their emphasis on Italy-sourced ingredients.

The gluten free pizza crust is the best we have ever eaten. No difference to wheat based crust. Outstanding
Requiring a credit card for the reservation seems like pretentious nonsense, especially at a place as popular as this. Failing to prominently flag the requirement to pre-order gluten-free crusts is obnoxious, but what’s inexcusable is the manager’s too-bad-for-you posture when we expressed our concerns. Next time we’ll just go to Macello’s.

There seems to be more and more places in the area that charge high prices for small portions of food. I would not call Forno Rosso a low cost dinner, but for the quality and quantity of food it is a great value. My most recent experience was a date night and we had a great time.
We booked a dining room table 3 weeks in advance and were seated at a bar table.
Order appetizers that arrived before drinks and had no cutlery. Requested silverware and were brought silverware. Had to then request napkins.
My family have been coming here for over 4 years and this place has become our staple for special occasions or just getting the kids out the house. The service is remarkable but the freshness of the ingredients is what keeps us coming back. The burrata is my favorite. Looking forward to the next truffle season.

The best pizza in Illinois! Exactly like the one you get in Italy, or maybe even better! No deep dish BS Chicago pizza, this is the real deal! pizza with porcini mushrooms and sausage is my favorite!

Our group of four had a wonderful experience. We dined during 'restaurant week' and two of us ordered from that three-course menu. We ordered two additional appetizers as well. The food and service were excellent. Neapolitan-style pizzas were very well made with fresh ingredients. One of our party also ordered fresh made gnocchi which also was excellent. Overall experience was wonderful. Will be back.

the pizza was delicious. I loved the prosciutto arugula one so much I never got around to the others my group ordered! And one of the owners stopped by to ask how our meal was and we got to chat with him. So classy. My only quibble - it was a little too loud.
Great waiter, food and ambiance. We lunched on a winter’s afternoon so noise level not an issue. Can’t speak to dinner situation though. I will be back.
I cannot say enough good things about Forno Rosso. My fiancé grew up outside Naples and has been on the hunt for the last decade for a pizza place in the the US. We found that in Forno Rosso. The pizza is straight out of a Napoletana oven, the buffalo mozzarella melts in your mouth, the homemade spicy olive oil is the perfect complement to every dish. Our favorites are the Caponata, focaccia, verdure miste, octopus, and Caputo pizzas. Add a bottle of wine and top it off with the tiramisu, cannoli, and/or Nutella pizza and some limoncello and you will have the best Italian meal in Chicago. Buon appetito!
Great pizza! I am gluten free and the gluten free crust pizza was AWESOME! It was actually bready and delicious, not gummy or soggy or tastless. It appeared that the wheat crust pizza were equally delicious per the guests that I was dining with.
Everything from the food to the service was awesome. we started with the meatball appetizer, they were very good, then 3 of us ordered three pizzas to try a variety, they were each good and it was a great way to try different ones, plus they were great the next morning cold! Everyone working was great and very helpful, they were more than happy to show us the oven and answer questions. I highly recommend going here and we will go back!
Really one of the best authentic Neapolitan pizzerias in Chicago. Menu is limited bacause they focus on what they do best - maka da pizzzzaaaaaahhhh!!! Abbondanza!! Delicioso.

Too expensive for pizza
Having been to Italy multiple times, most recently Naples in May, I can safely say that the pizza is as good and authentic as some of the best Naples restaurants .
Service is good, staff pleasant. Of course as everyone knows, parking in the West Loop is a serious challenge. I’d certainly return.
Friendly, professional, and attentive waitstaff and GM made this first time visit perfect. Great recommendations and fantastic gluten free dough created a great pizza with the right amount of char.

My favorite pizza place in Chicago. My partner and I go pretty regularly and are never disappointed with the food or drinks. We typically sit at the bar and love the bartending staff especially. Try the strawberry basil martini and pretty much any pizza and you’re in for the perfect night out.
