Vera Pizza Napoletana is made with a soft dough and takes about one minute to cook in a Wood-Burning oven. Because of this Pizza Napoletana has several distinctive characteristics. Pizza in Napoli is soft and foldable and can be considered “wet” by American standards. For this reason, people in Napoli generally eat their pizza with a knife and fork. Blackened char spots on the pizza crust is a tell–tale sign of Pizza Napoletana that has been cooked in a blistering hot, wood-burning oven. Each Pizza is an individual work of art.
Pistacchio pesto, forno rosso's special made local sausage, fior di latte mozzarella, basil
Pizza Con Nutella
Filled with bananas and nutella, topped with powdered sugar and a strawberry
Black truffle pate, forno rosso's special made local sausage, basil, fior di latte mozzarella, porcini mushrooms con panna
This is truly an Italian pizza from Napoli. I felt in Italy, completely, especially because even our waitress and the pizzaiolo were Italian. I highly recommend it if you want to know what Italian pizza is all about.
This is the most wonderful pizza. One of my all time favorites. My only suggestion is playing a wider-range of music. The Bon Jovi, Journey and other dad rock really takes me out of the atmosphere. I think it would go far to experiment with the ambiance.
Great service and pizza was delicious!
Always a great experience at Forno Rosso—everything on the menu is delicious and made with high quality ingredients. Bottles of wine were also half off when we went which was a great surprise!
Like being in Italy... wonderful Neapolitan pizza. Appetizers and salads are great, too. Nice wine selection.
Carlos took great care of us - friendly, knowledgeable.
Can’t wait to go back.
Never disappoints! Top notch as always!!
I've been several times, and this was the most recent. There was some kind of miscommunication about our order that led to us not being served any appetizers until nearly an hour after we ordered. I was disappointed by that experience, but my previous experiences were all fantastic. The food was great and I would still recommend Forno Rosso.
Great food! Server was really busy but was very nice and checked on the table many times. Drinks were refreshing and strong. If you like Italian style pizza, I would highly suggest trying this place!
The pizza is absolutely fantastic especially if you like Neapolitan.
Great food and great service. definitely a bit too loud inside the restaurant.
Service & food always good
Best pizza in town!
Giorgio and his team do an amazing job of making you feel welcome and the authentic Neapolitan pizzas are fantastic. Nice selection of salads and antipasti make for a enjoyable experience!
Fabulous pizza. Best in city. Just like Italy. Great sides too
My wife met another couple and ate here for the first time. Food was outstanding. The four of us shared a beet salad and Spiedini appetizer and I split the Prosciutto E Arugula with my wife. We truly enjoyed the entire meal.
I also had an Italian Baladin-Isaac (White Ale) beer that was interesting. We did not order wine. The only disappointment was that no one checked back with us after we had paid our tab. My wife remarked later she would have liked another glass of water and I would have ordered another beer or glass of wine. I don't know if the other couple felt the same way, but it is always interesting to sit in a restaurant for so long with an empty glass. Regardless, we will definitely go back and I would highly recommend the restaurant.
Great experience. Great good and great service.
Fantastic place with great food and drinks! Our server was very attentive.
Best food and service but the music has a lot of room for improvement.
This place is waist of time, money and energy! Nothing was professionally done even though we had a reservation and were there on time. The hostess gave our table to some random people without even check if we are ready to be seated. We were forced to wait 20 more minutes and if we didn't have hungry kids with us we would off look for another place. The manager tried to mild the problem with no success whatsoever. Mediocre service and food and overly crowded disgusting place! Never again!
Best Italian pizza in Chicago.
Best thin crust pizza in town!!
Everything’s great other than the music. The music doesn’t fit the restaurant.
Beat Neapolitan style pizza in Chicago! The service is always fantastic and they take covid precautions very seriously which is always comforting as a guest that’s barely beginning to venture out into the real world again.
As always, pizza and forno is amazing. we ordered the bufalina and tres carnes. nothing was left on the plates. Nutela and strawberry desert to top it off!
Food, service and atmosphere was absolutely amazing!
We go here a lot, so we may be biased, but their pizza is just excellent. If you like wood-oven pizza with creative toppings, this is the place to go.
The food was amazing! The staff was outstanding! We will go to his other restaurant Thursday!
Awesome place food was delicious and staff was professional
No tent, heating lamps were not enough and the pizza made me sick.
Without a doubt the best pizza in Chicago. Burrata is incredible, staff are awesome, wine list is primo.
Excellent food. Service was rushed but it could be Covid, although they can manage against it. Otherwise, excellent pizza.
There is tension due this covid period and this is reflected on the staff, mainly in the tables coordinator. Hopefully gets better when the situation is solved
Best thin crust Italian style pizza! You can’t go wrong with any one of them. Their octopus is always amazing as well. Desert wise the tiramisu with an espresso is to die for.
Don’t go out of your way for this place. The hostesses were not particularly nice. Didn’t seemed to be trained on the appropriate way to present the COVID time restrictions to a table (the restaurant never had all seats full) and we were told we only had 60 minutes to stay. The hostesses didn’t acknowledge us at all when we left even though one held the door. No “thanks for your business” or “have a good evening.” The beet salad and focaccia were very good. The main even (pizza) wasn’t anything to be desired. Crust was good but pizza toppings were mediocre at best. The Margarita pizza tasted like tomato soup with no seasoning. Service was OK. Just not worth another stop..
Everything was great except you are forced to wait outside if you are waiting for your table. Wouldn’t have been a big deal but we did have a reservation and still had to wait 20 min. Someone from our group pointed this out and the hostess responded “well your party was late” (by 8 minutes). Just didn’t needed the attitude we were nothing but nice when asking about the wait.
Great pizza and great cocktails to make the whole family happy.
I love this place so much and always take my friends here. The service and food never disappoints!
The food was fantastic, but the service and first impression was not great. When I walked up to check in, the hostess was very frazzled. I understand they were busy, but getting told to stand along the side of the building and not being able to check-in for 15+ minutes was not a great first impression. Once seated, our waitress was fine, nothing spectacular. The food was great and came out quickly.
Best restaurant! Amazing service and the food is delicious.
