Forno Rosso Pizzeria - Dunning
Amazing food! Love the prosciutto arugula pizza and can’t forget the Nutella pizza for dessert!!!! Yummy
Great food at a local place. The quality of the food and service were excellent, but make reservations in advance as it gets packed!
Best Italian food in Norridge area
So far is the best one
The pizza is excellent. Both grilled and fried calamari is tender and very tasty. Staff is friendly, oxana (not sure on spelling) is a excellent server and makes a great strawberry basil martini. Worth our 30 minute drive.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I've been to their Randolph location a few times and was excited to see they had this location, as well. I met a friend from the northern suburbs here and it was super convenient... plus, they have a free parking lot! The food is truly delicious AND they also have the BEST gluten free pizza crust that I've ever tasted. Make sure to call ahead (ideally 24 hours) to make sure that have a gf crust available. You will not be disappointed!! Oh, and we were celebrating my friend's birthday and they surprised us with a free dessert!
Always superb food, friendly, efficient service and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. I enjoy dining here.
By far, my favorite restaurant of all time. Every time I go, I end up talking for at least 10 minutes after I'm finished about how amazing it was! I swear, it gets better every time I go and I'm not sure how you can just get infinitely better, but they do. The tiramisu, don't even get me started. I seriously could talk forever about it, but the pizza is insane.
Best Neapolitan-style pizza in the Chicago area! This is the real deal for perfectly chewy crust and delicious toppings (try the tartufo pizza if you like truffle!). Service is also very friendly.
Pizza always great - had the affumicato with smoked mozzarella and the diablo with spicy salami. The pear salad was large and delicious as well.
A large neighborhood place with a noisy, upscale bar vibe. Pizza was good, though, as was the service. Difficult to get to for us, because of the inevitable traffic on Harlem Avenue. Lots of neighborhood people there with kids, too. If you are a devotee of Neapolitan pizza, you will want to give it a try. I would have appreciated more pizzas without meat, too.
Fantastic drinks, pizza, and deserts. Don’t miss out on the house made Lemoncello.
Service very slow, meals came out separately at least 5 minutes apart and no follow up if we needed anything else, etc. Third time there and have not been impressed. Will not go back.
Great experience dining at Forno Rossa’s. Appetizers and pizzas were amazing! Our server was so easy to work with and very friendly. Made the evening with friends so much more enjoyable.
Great food. I really liked the pizza and the appetizers.
All the pizzas are great and you can’t beat 1/2 price wine bottles on Wednesday!
Best pizza ever!! Best burratta appetizer! Best gelato!
I love this place so much!!! not only food is delicious but the stuff is amazing. Always pleasure to come here. Thank you!
Great place for pizza salad and fun
Love the pizza. service nightmare. Made reservations for 5 people Saturday morning. Arrived was seated only 20 minutes later they realized no one was waiting on us. They sat us in a room with a private party. The party was around 25 people standing around our table being loud crowding us. Not one apology from management. What a mess. Drove a long way with son and new fiance to show them this place.
What a disappointment. Will not be returning will be informing all about the poor service on next episode.
Still by far my favorite pizza around. Fantastic Neapolitan pizza. Save room for dessert, Cannolis are second to none.
The food at Forno Rosso is excellent. I've dined at both locations and have enjoyed it much. The pizza crust is light and chewy. The toppings are fresh as nd generous. The appetizers are consistently high quality and delicious. This time, our server was poor. He'd disappear, not ask if we needed anything, nor did he give updates on the food, which took a long time to arrive. He also wasn't serving other tables adequately, as I noticed other servers stepping in for him. This low level of performance is unusual for Forno Rosso; they need to address this server's problem.
Loved the authenticity of ingredients. The great options of appetizers and pizza options. Very nice wine selections.
We ordered the Burrata, Meatballs, and a pizza each. I thought of all items, the Burrata was the standout. That is the item I'd strongly recommend and something we would likely get again. The meatballs were ok. Since meatballs are a common, popular item, I expect that these do well, but I wouldn't steer anyone towards ordering them. The pizzas were pretty good and I would say just missed my expectations slightly (I had through the roof expectations though). But it was really good... I was just hoping it would be the best. I think Forno Rosso has a bread recipe that's spot on, so they do that so amazing. The pricing comes out to just slightly more than I'd want to pay for these items, but it's definitely worth a try.
The restaurant is amazing as always. They do a great job with their hurrays, pizzas, and desserts.
My wife and I were in the O'Hare area and found this gem on Open Table and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. We are glad we did because we had a great meal. The pizza was fantastic as were the roasted olives and roasted beet salad! Followed it up with the Spumoni Bomba which was the bomb. Our server Rick did a great job. He was informative and attentive without being overbearing. All in all this was a very enjoyable experience. It would become a regular spot for us if we lived closer. Don't miss it!
Best pizza ever!
It was great! GM was present to make sure everyone had a great time. Wait staff was attentive. Food was perfectly prepared and we didn’t order the pizza, which looked great in its own right. Tiramisu was delicious. My rustic steak panini was amazing and the parmigiana on the fries was a nice touch.
Excellent pizza, good service, just a very different crowd than the west loop location
Forno Rosso is awesome! I lived in Italy and it is just like the pizza in Italy. One of the owners, George, is so nice and kind and always gets to know his guests. Their food is spectacular. Love Forno Rosso!
Perfect! Best pizza anywhere!
Perfect setting to celebrate a birthday!
Pizza, roasted olives, calamari, octopus, focaccia & salad!
Best gluten-free pizza in the city! Now all they need to do is to add a gluten-free beer to their menu.
Great as always!
Amazing pizza, appetizers were fantastic, special's for the evening home made meatballs were fantastic. Service was impeccable, owner came over just to introduce himself and make sure are dining experience was satisfactory, absolutely fantastic all around. This is our new go to place.
This is my favorite restaurant of all time. I’ve never had a bad experience.
Excellent service and food. Owner was very attentive to all patrons. Very busy on a Wednesday night, kept up with crowds well. The seafood appetizer was beyond fresh and cooked to perfection. A little pricey, but worth it!
We made reservations on Open Table for 8:45 for NYE. The restaurant had reservations available until 10:30 that night so we figured that it would be a good choice for our NYE plans. We got there are 8:45 and they looked surprised to see our party of 6 and informed us that the restaurant closed at 9:00! So, our party was left to find new dinner plans for NYE with hours to spare. I’m not sure why so many reservations were available if the restaurant was closing...
Delicious appetizers, salads and pizza. Will not disappoint. Consistent every time!
We love to come here for pizza! It’s the best pizza in Chicago. We also live the cannoli and the tiramisù.
Forno Rosso never disappoints. We had fried calamari (yum), salad (yum) and delicious Napoli style pizza (yummiest). Forgot ended with the fried dough/vanilla gelato. Can I say a great way to end a wonderful dining experience.
