The burrata is out of this world!
Excellent food, service and overall ambiance. Varied menu with ample selection- highly recommend.
This place was amazing. Loved the environment. Our waitress did an amazing job. The food was delicious. And the desserts we had, oh my Amazing.
Such an excellent meal! Everything tasted amazing and the service was excellent! So happy to have a great restaurant in the neighborhood!!
Too crowded, too loud, food and service average at best. I expected a better experience for my daughter’s birthday.
We were here for Brunch. However, we did look at the Dinner menu and it looked great. The food was wonderful. Newly decorated they are new in this location. it is in the heart of Montgomery with parking in the rear. All 4 of us really loved the Brunch. I can recommend the Bloody Mary's and the pancakes are divine. My wife had the Avocado BLT which she loved. Our server was Melissa and she could not have been nicer or more accommodating. So all in all a great experience for a Sunday Brunch. We will return for dinner since this group knows how to do Italian Food.
Nice atmosphere to relax with friends over a delicious meal and satisfying drinks!
Highly recommend this as well as Hyde Park location.
Forno is basically a pizza restaurant that also has a limited number of traditional Italian entrees. The wine by the glass is a small pour, which is disappointing considering the high profit margin on alcohol. The noise level is also high.
It was a dinner/date with my husband. Food was delicious! Very comfortable atmosphere.
This is the space formerly know as “Cinque”,; they incorporated similar items such as the bolognese, which my wife had and was very good. I had the veal and we had veal meatballs for an app. The lemon zest was a great touch to these!
Finished off with the lemon tart and our server, Michelle, added a candle for my wife’s birthday. Very nice.
Only “quirk” was charging $3 for bread. While not a lot of money, it’s not something you typically see. Bread was good, and I’ll lilely pay for it again, just a general comment.
Great, attentive service and the chef and hostess came around to check on us as well. We look forward to trying Sunday brunch and the pizza as everything we had was delicious.
Well done overall! Salute!
Great food, great people, best pizza and Italian food! Try the desserts as well, amazing
We are so glad Forno opened! The food was excellent and in keeping with Christian’s(chef and owner) vision. The service was personal. Very authentic Italian with a great variety for all. I would recommend going there for any occasion and often.
Don't interrupt so often, wait for an opportunity to interject vs just starting to talk while the guests are talking to each other.
Don't keep trying to pour out the wine. If we want a second bottle the rate at which we drink the first will give you that indication.
Still getting their legs as only open a short period of time. Staff very attentive. My food was fine, companion had felt his was a bit too salty but turned down an offer to redo or substitute a dish. No matter, they made another meal and sent it as a to-go (we had already made arrangements for another to-go for a laid-up spouse) graits, certainly above and beyond service! Really enjoy all of the other family restaurants in town.
Forno Hyde Park has been our go to restaurant for a while now - dates, special occasions, family, friends & coworkers. We always have the Cinghiale - at least 10 times before. This was our first trip to the Montgomery location. Everything was great except the food. This was the first time we had to cut the meat with a knife. It was always nicely coarse-shredded before. We split the dish as we always do. My wife's portion had 5 whole cloves of garlic and mine had 7-8. There were stringy pieces of "plastic" in both dishes. We were told this was the skin of the garlic and left in the dish on purpose. Never before have we had the garlic or the plastic garlic skin like this. Also not as much pasta as usual.
We spoke to both the head chef and the executive chef and both told us we were wrong that the dish is always like this. We explained that we had this dish at least 10 times before but we were told we are wrong. The executive chef said as long as it tasted good that's all that mattered. My wife did not finish her dish. Unfortunately we won't be back..
Outstanding food and service great addition to the neighborhood.
We celebrated my son's 23 birthday, and had a wonderful dinner. Our favorite dish was the cod. It was absolutely wonderful.
fantastic food, it was only open for about 5 days and the operation was running very smooth--food came out as expected and service was great.
Very authentic food--like eating in Italy! I'd recommend you try it-- we loved it and will be back.
Went for dinner and it was superb! Had the veal chop, our friends had Atlantic cod, both were stellar. Service was very good, despite fact that this was there opening weekend. We will be back, often :)
Have been there twice so far. First experience was phenomenal, both food and service. Second time the servers were great but the kitchen was backed up, plus the pizza was undercooked so soggy although it tasted great. Way too noisy both times for discussions, especially with our hard of hearing friend. Ask for a booth, it's less hectic.
We realize this location just opened as a the second of an established business. Everyone was very friendly but we feel some improvement is needed. The tables are WAY TOO CLOSE together. Several of them need to be removed to make the space more comfortable. While the veal scallopine portion is generous, it was overcooked. The service needs attention to bringing needed side dishes and correct entrees. Hopefully just a rocky opening and things will improve.
It was a pleasure meeting Cristian. We love having a restaurant closer to home with the same attention to detail but more casual than Nicolas. The staff we’re very knowledgeable about the menu. Great sense of pride for the food. Thank you for a great meal.
We went to Forno hoping it would be comparable to Cinque. We ordered the homemade focaccia and were not pleased. We were expecting it to be like the focaccia we had in Italy; however, it was more like pizza dough. It was even cut like a piece of pizza. The meatballs had too much lemon flavor. The wild boar ragout pappardelle had WAY TOO MUCH CINNAMON. I could only eat a fourth of the meal.
It was our first visit. Found the atmosphere welcoming, the food delicious and the service excellent. We will return often.
