Forno Osteria & Bar Montgomery
Always a great meal and venue to catch up with good friends. Dave makes s consistently great pizza! ♥️🍕
A gem of an independent restaurant with amazing food, great ambiance and stellar service in the heart of downtown Montgomery. Have been here for brunch and dinner and food is always exceptional. The gnocci melts in your mouth and the bolognese...yum!
Great. Our new brunch place.
We came for Valentines dinner and we loved all the selections we made. The Veal appetizer is my favorite and never disappoints! I have a new favorite white wine - the Italico Pinot Grigio and hope to find it to purchase also.
Food taste was out of this world. Very tasteful. The service was excellent. The only negative is the size and closeness of the tables. We had a two-person table near the main traffic pattern. I was a bit nervous about my drinks being tipped over a couple of times. Other than that TWO BIG thumbs up or TWO FORKS up!
Valentine prefixe menu was lovely
Wine pairing also spot on
Great ambiance, food and service
Good service, good food!
Very friendly staff and the food is excellent / good menu choices
Amazing food and service. Only opportunity was the wine pours were pretty weak.
Food was fantastic but the ambiance was just not what we expected for Valentine's Day. Tables were so close together that the waitress and customers kept bumping into my wife. Awkward to have someone sit wintin two feet of you for for a romantic (and expensive) dinner. They certainly maximized the space, but just not romantic whatsoever. As mention, the food was fantastic but we would not return because of the cramped feeling inside. Better restaurants in the area to enjoy a comfortable and romantic dinner for the price. The fixed menu with wine pairings and a shared dessert with coffee and tip was ~$100/person.
The atmosphere was fun, up beat and most European
Food is just fantastic wish you could rate 6 stars!
food was good. served hot and plentiful. very noisy. service was hurried and a bit inefficient. charged for bread. did not provide sufficient oil for sipping.
Great food and service! We shared a pancake for the table (yes, they will do a single pancake if you ask) and had fantastic mains, everyone was completely pleased with their meal.
Strongly recommend unless any of your party has hearing issues/difficulty. It is quite loud, yet festive. Everything else is tip top!
So happy they opened this location! The food was excellent and so was the service! We will definitely make this one of our favorite spots.
Thank you!
Great food, service and atmosphere! The food was freshly made and delicious. Authentic Italian!
Excellent food and service. Only docked a star on food because the size of the gnocchi entree was rather underwhelming. However all the dishes we had were amazing.
Thursday nights the good is always particularly outstanding
This is the second time we go for brunch but only 2 of the 6 of us were satisfied. Pancakes were burnt or raw, scrambled eggs completely saltless, and choices in general very limited. The pork milanese panini was very good, could eat many more of those maybe with less sauce. Love it for dinner, so that is what we will stick with.
FORNO is a big improvment to the Montgomery restaurant scene. We've been twice with friends. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We've never felt rushed, even on a Saturday night. And the food is has been great, both times. We'll be back again!
The menu is a little weird for us, not trying the tripe or the octopus...but the pizza was really yummy!
There are so many tables in this restaurant that the servers have to turn sideways to get between them. Other diners were about twenty inches from us. Ridiculously overcrowded. And NOISY. We will not be going back to this restaurant.
The Elena pizza and truffled cream corn are my favorites. Now I’ve been back to get the same thing 4 times!
Steph was amazing at taking care of our requests and service was Ana I got. It’s our new weekly go to!
It is a neighborhood gem.Our famillies favorite restaurant. They are friendly and food is amazing.Bolognose and pizzas are our favorite dishes.Nice italian wine list.Sundays they served brunch.
Great new place in Montgomery. Highly recommend it!
Because I am within walking distance of this restaurant, I really wanted to like it. I think they do some small plates and pizzas well, but the swordfish I was served was so incredibly salty - I could not eat it. My husband had the whole-wheat papadelle, which was okay (not great, a little overcooked) - but came out looking like a brown on brown mess topped with cheese. I was also surprised to be charged 3 dollars for bread. The best thing about this place is the roving, attentive management and the great wine list. I would come back for happy hour only to have wine and pizza - but will not come back for dinner.
Took my dad here for his birthday. The food was delicious! The service was a bit slow, but it was very busy so it's understandable. It was louder than I would have expected for a pricier restaurant, but I would return.
Tried the new Montgomery location with a client and co-worker. We were greeted by the host and hostess warmly, seated right away, our server, Mark, was very knowledgeable about the wine list and menu. We ordered several different white and red wines based off of our server's recommendations and we were pleased with all. We ordered the meatball appetizer which was good and the bread basket was recommended to accompany the meatballs to enjoy the sauce. The meatballs were good. I ordered a caeser salad-nothing special. My client ordered the artichoke soup, she liked it. My co-worker ordered the Friarielli pizza and she thoroughly enjoyed it. My client ordered the short rib and loved it. I was able to split my pasta order into two selections -the server game me that option. Unfotrunately the Bolognese was very salty and i took it home but the server offered a substitution and i declined. I ordered the Half Gnudi whic I loved.
Outstanding experience. Great food, wine and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Already planning our next reservation!
Amazing dinner last night. Everyone enjoyed their meal, however the pork chop won for the best dinner at our table!! It is huge and has amazing flavor! We will definitely go back just for this entree!!
Great food as always. It is very loud for hearing table mates conversation
Always a fun time. Food and wine are delicious. Owner or his wife always stop by to say hello. Perfect neighborhood dining spot.
Five ladies and plenty of food. Two split a pizza and it was very interesting. Every ingredient: olives mushrooms prosciutto and artichokes were separated on the pizza in four sections. Each one tasty but usual.
The restaurant is very clean. Server was knowledgeable and very nice. Food is outstanding.
We had a wonderful evening at Forno in Montgomery. We had a table for six 9three couples) and the ambiance and the food were terrific! I look forward to going back again soon.
This was our second time at Forno in Montgomery. The service is outstanding....everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. Caesar salad is fantastic. We opted for a pizza this time, and it was exactly as you might find in Tuscany. Christian Pietoso, the owner, was there, and greeted every table, just like a small town restaurant where you are appreciated. We will return!
Special family celebration. Food and service were great.
