Food was very good, service excellent. Desserts were outstanding. Still not liking be nickled and dimed for bread though.
My third visit, and I still haven't figured out why everyone likes it so well. I keep trying different menu options and always end up underwhelmed and feeling overcharged. Noisy and austere dining room. Nice, but clearly over-worked, server. This place just isn't for me.
The food is always great and the service is always exceptional. They will accommodate most any request or give it all they have trying
Our special occasion was my husbands birthday. It was a Tuesday evening evening and reservation was at 7:30. They were busy but we were seated right away. The first issue was our table for 2. It was literally a foot and a half away from the table next to us on one side and maybe 2 feet away from the table on our other side. We could easily hear each conversation with even trying to eavesdrop. The wait staff was buzzing around us constantly , having to turn sideways in the closed quarters. Some people may like this atmosphere, my husband and I did not.
When I went to wash my hands before the waiter took our order I had to wait 10 minutes or so because there’s only one bathroom.
Then, when the waiter finally remembered we were there, he brought us lukewarm water to drink while he went to go get us our wine.
The food was ok, nothing special and a bit overpriced. I was expecting more just based on the other ratings, and will not be back.
Just an excellent visit. Warmly greeted and promptly seated. Server was outstanding with wonderful explanations and recommendations for food and wine. Food and service was great!
Great dinner! Our table wasn't ready when we arrived, but we grabbed a drink at the bar. Small space, moderately noisy. The employees were very well informed and gave good advice on wine and dinner pairings. Portions are on the smaller side, but the bolognese was to die for.
Don't get to come here often but it is AWESOME will always come by when in town. Food is exceptional, service is great, wine is wonderful. Can't wait to be in town again!
I came here for the cinghiale (wild boar) pasta. I lived in Italy for several years and this was always my favorite pasta dish! Forno’s version did not disappoint. It was by far the best and most authentic I’ve tried in the U.S.! I will definitely return to Forno and am excited to try other items from their menu.
My boyfriend arrived around 10am wanting brunch- we had a great experience! On Sunday’s, alcohol laws can play an affect on your mimosa plans so keep that in mind. However our waitress was awesome and informed us that her manager allowed us to have a mimosa because the alcohol content in them are so low, it doesn’t interfere with the law!
The food was perfection as always!!
We were very pleasantly surprised with Forno. After spending the first half of this year touring the "top 10 new restaurants of 2017" named by Cincinnati Magazine and becoming more and more disappointed we decided to get off the list. The ambiance is great - casual but comfortable and a bit sophisticated. Service was excellent. It seemed our particular server was newer to the restaurant and not as sure of the menu but she recruited help and answered all of our questions. One person in our group has serious food allergies and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate these needs. The food was delicious and the menu varied and unique, but not so unusual that we just weren't sure what we would be eating. A big plus, the we could have a normal conversation and be heard. This wasn't a noisy and "who cares if it is since we are a trendy dining spot" type place. A pleasant surprise. We all agreed that we would definitely be returning to Forno.
Pasta underdone, actually chewy. Same with pizza crust.
Great dining experience. Gave us altered options to the cocktails on the menu to please us. Great food and enjoyed the birthday treat!
There were 3 of us in our party and we all loved this Restaurant and would certainly return again.
It was a perfect brunch for our bride to be!
Forno is a fantastic restaurant I have been there 4 times in the last year and never dissatisfied. I highly recommend their pork chop and brussecta with chicken liver.
We had a great experience at Forno. We arrived about 30 minutes prior to our reservation time. They were able to seat us right away. The food was delicious, house wine was also very good. Excellent for a slightly upscale date night.
Food was great. Parking was an issue since I am not very familiar with the area. Also our table was right near the desk and front door which I did not care for especially since we had reservations
My husband and I picked this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, upon recommendations from friends. The atmosphere was close and noisy, with music played a little too loudly for a restaurant in our opinion. Conversation was difficult. However, our server, Arienne, was excellent. She was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Everything we ordered was correct and served in a timely manner. We had the heirloom tomato salad, minestrone soup, bread (really yummy), two different pasta dishes (one with beef and veal sauce, one with pork). The pork sauce was a little greasy, the other was delicious. For dessert, we shared a basil panna cotta with blueberry sauce. It was VERY yummy!
Food was delicious, service was excellent. I thought it was overpriced. An heirloom tomato salad with toast and a little quac. was $13.00.
Amazing! Great food and service. Loved it!
My Dad’s birthday.
Ate at he chefs bar. The staff was so friendly and informative. Food was out of this world.
We had a great experience at Forno. Food was great. We sat outside. Great wine. Service was awesome.
Rebecca is great
Cory was a delight. Attentive but not annoying. It was my daughters birthday and she made it very enjoyable. Chef Adam came out as well and talked to us. They even topped it off with prosecco and dessert. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening!!!
Our service from Cory and Eric was wonderful! They were attentive, courteous, cheerful, accommodating, professional, and prompt.
The food (appetizers, entrees and dessert) was delicious and everyone in our party of six people enjoyed it.
Food and value were excellent. Only glich was the kitchen sent our the wrong main course.
A sizable wait for the correction.
We chose Forno to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary and when we walked in our reservation was ready and they had placed roses on our table (provided by my husband) I am expecting so the server was very accommodating by making me a fantastic mocktail so we could celebrate in style. The food was AMAZING. We had the bruschetta to start and it was fantastic. The bolonesse was the best we’ve had in the city. We also tried the sausage and onion pizza which was delicious we couldn’t get enough!. For dessert my husband brought in a cookie cake and Forno added candles for us to blow out. They went above and beyond to make our anniversary so special we will for sure be back soon!
Everything was excellent!!!
Ben K. Was our server and he was great! So knowledgeable and friendly!!!!!
The veal scalloping was great but the pizza seems to be declining in quality (crust not crispy, sauce bland). Chicken liver bruschetta was drenched in olive oil and haphazardly thrown on a plate. The glass of wine I ordered was also forgotten. Restaurant was not busy at the time. First time I was disappointed at Forno and we brought an out of town guest from Chicago.
Overall a great experience as usual. However, bar drinks are anemic. For a upper level restaurant this area needs attention. A reasonable healthy pour is needed.
This was out third visit to Forno. The food has always been outstanding. However the noise level was so high that having a conversation was next to impossible. It was Tuesday night which is supposedly the busiest weeknight for them. Our server said he was handling 22 persons. Way too overloaded so response was a bit slow. And be sure to request a table NOT next to the front door!!
stopped by with one of our favorite couples. service was excellent, food was good and the house was jammed. always a good sign of a terrific restaurant.
Great staff accommodated a last minute large addition to our reservation. Food was great, service was prompt. would highly recommend!
Had biscuits and gravy. Good but could be better. Biscuits a bit too dense and there should be more gravy and pieces of Italian sausage. Service was really good. I’ll go back and try other brunch menu items.
Very nice venue with a nice brunch menu.
I realize It was Fathers Day and you were busy. We waited more than 45minutes for our order. The gravy on the biscuits was almost cold. To refill the coffee, the waitress would carry the cups back to the kitchen. Onetime She carried our cup along with another tables 2 cups. Sometimes holding cups against her shirt and sometimes grabbing the cup at the rim. Someone else helped us when she didn’t bring the coffee cup back. The food was good.
First time at Forno Osteria. I was more than pleased with the food and the service. Our waiter Tom, did an excellent job. He was very knowledgeable. He helped make the evening a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back.
They did a great job getting our drinks quickly and making sure we always had something to drink. They made excellent reccos on food. Food was amazing! Would certainly recommend to everyone!
