This was the first time at Forno. My wife is an East Coast Jersey girl who’s always looking for local Italian eateries to try, so we decided to give it a go to celebrate our anniversary with the kids. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who quickly took us to our table, and within minutes our waitress greeted us. Wish I recalled her name, but she was very pleasant and efficient. We had water service quickly followed by drink orders and appetizers. We ordered the bread basket and Heirloom Tomato bruschetta sampler to start. For dinner entrees, we chose the Tagliatelle Bolognese and added a Veal meatball, Pork Milanese, Asparagus Gnudi “Cacio e Pepe” and the kids ordered pizzas; one classic red sauce Calabrese and the other Bianca Frairielli e Salsiccia. For dessert we had the Vanilla Creme Brûlée and Pope’s Chocolate Salame. Our appetizers were good. The bruschetta comes with Avocado spread, red onion, basil, tuscan vinaigrette. I’m not particularly fond of avocado, but it was really good served this way. My Bolognese was good, but not blown away by it… the chef did spice it up for me with extra crushed red peppers, so I enjoyed the heat. I wasn’t a fan of the meatball. My wife had the pork, which unfortunately was very dry. She enjoyed the cauliflower and sauce that came with it, but ultimately disliked the pork. She ordered Gnudi, but did not like it either. To Forno’s credit, they offered her something else to eat, but she declined. Management took the meal off our bill without us asking, which was very much appreciated. The pizzas were both very good, bonus for crumbled sausage. The star of the night for us was dessert!! The creme brûlée was amazing and my son said the pope’s chocolate was the best dessert he’s ever had in his whole life!! LOL! Our server asked if we were out celebrating any special occasion, so we did receive one dessert on the house. Overall, our experience was very good. My wife and I will probably go back again for pizza and dessert.

Last minute table for dinner. Nice and busy as usual so we were lucky to get in. Had nice wine pairings with gnocchi and pizza. Had to get pasta to go and it melted the box to the table. Guess it was nice and hot! Also was a bit too oniony. Pizza was good and plenty large to bring half home.

One of my favorite places. In fact, came here for my birthday celebration dinner with a good friend. We split everything which gave us a chance to try more dishes - I always get pretty much the same thing each time but it's always amazing. We sat at the bar which is even more fun bc you can engage with the chefs by the pizza oven if they have time.

Went to their Bolognese Tuesday. The special is outstanding. Salad, bread and a bowl of bolognese. Can’t beat the value. Great atmosphere. Little noisy because of the space. Allow time to find a parking spot.

We had the wonderful Bolo Tuesday special with the veal meatball and it was fantastic !! I don't know if I will get a chance to comment on a problem but for an appetizer, we (4 people) ordered the Heirloom tomato Bruschetta which is fine that it was cut into 4 pieces but the bread was soooo hard, I had to try and cut it with a knife, over and over and it was even difficult to cut, so I could eat it in small pieces as it was too hard to bite a section off !!

Attended one of Chef Christian’s Return Foodie Series events and the food was outstanding as was the featured wine. But the highlight was when the staff boxed up and entire meal, including gelato on ice, for my husband who couldn’t attend because he was at home sick. What excellent & kind service we received. Forno is a favorite of mine. I love taking people here when they visit from out of town. The service is always great and the food is phenomenal. This visit was no different. The bolognese and creamed corn are amazing.

The food was absolutely delicious. The margherita pizza was authentically Italian, and the pasta dishes were delicious. The Pope's Chocolate brought me to heaven. The service was good, even on a Saturday evening.

I was looking for a good pasta meal. My wife had visited Forno before with friends, however, I had never dined there. Apparently, I should have been! The service was excellent: attentive without fawning. The food was also delicious. We shared a couple apps and one meal. The Veal meatballs in sauce were perfect as was the Arancini di Riso. Out Bresaola Carpaccio salad was also delicious.. The main course was Tagliatelle Bolognese. The pasta done to perfection and the gravy delightful. I will be returning.

Dinner out with friends and we had a nice time. Bruschetta appetizer was very good. Friend had salmon dish and liked it. 2 friends ordered the bolognese and really liked it. I had Napoli pizza and it was not as good as I expected. I probably would not order it again but the bolognese I tasted was wonderful, which I will order next time. 1 friend had the crème brûlée and really enjoyed it. My husband had the tiramisu and loved it. Overall, a very nice dinner.

This was a special wine and dinner event which was outstanding. As usual Forno was top notch. The service was friendly & flawless while the food was beyond their usual great (6 out of 5 stars). The wine was matched perfectly with each course. Christian P was the master of ceremonies and ran the kitchen personally. He greeted all the diners personally making everyone feel welcome. Forno Hyde Park remains my favorite restaurant. Job well done!

Had Arancini appetizer which my wife and I really enjoyed…recommended by our server who was fantastic. We had the Parmigiana pizza which was disappointing as the cheese topping was too rich and creamy for our taste. The crust was great but we were expecting better since we have always had such great food at Forno in past.

Wonderful dinner last night. We brought a 2 year old with us and we’re pleased with the service, food, atmosphere and overall experience. Our waiter was super knowledgeable with the wine list and menu and we ordered the Tripe, Salmon, and asparagus cacio Pepe and it all was fantastic. Will definitely be going back!

Everyone’s food was very good, except my order, which was the encrusted pork chop. It was over cooked. Probably should have sent it back. Normally all the food is excellent.

Once again, a great meal at Forno Osteria. We sat at the bar and shared several appetizers and sides to try some new items. Highly recommend the artichokes and the meatballs.

We love Forno. Outside of it being crowded and it taking a little to get our seat all else was great. Food was outstanding and our server was attentive and nice. We will go back again and again.

We ate on the patio, and it was actually quieter than in the inside restaurant. The patio was a bit cramped and right on the sidewalk, but it was surprisingly quiet and pleasant. The food was great - while the menu is not extensive, it was very authentic, and all of it was delicious. The feel is more osteria (bistro) than fancy, but the pricing was somewhere between.

Great food, fun atmosphere. Were there for bday with group of six. Plenty of time to visit, quiet enough that we could talk/hear each other easily but didn't feel out of place enjoying a good laugh. Lots of delicious appies, pasta, pizza options. Desserts were great, too! Server forgot to check back on drinks for awhile, but generally was very helpful and friendly. Overall, excellent choice!

Very odd but it was an off night for the kitchen. Pizzas either doughy or burnt. I will say that there are too many tables in the space. Your chair is constantly being jarred by the poor waitstaff trying to negotiate the maze of tables.Now I know why people prefer the bar.

I ordered the cacio de Pepe and it is not like the normal dish. It looked like gnocchi with a pesto sauce on it. It was still good, but that was in fact the correct dish. The food was good and my friends enjoyed theirs as well. Service was decent. I did write it was for a birthday but they didn’t do anything to celebrate it… but the table behind us had. It wasn’t a big deal but it was put on the reservation when made through open table.

I went to forno for my birthday and brought my mother and grandmother. First of all it took a good 5-7 minutes to get a waiter to acknowledge us. The pesto pasta was not good at all my mom described the dish as tasting like ramen noodles with soupy green sauce on top. I tried her dish and agreed. The pesto was very runny and it felt like we could make the same dish at home. The noodles were virtually tasteless like water and had a thin texture almost that off a bottom shelf ramen from kroger. We also ordered a basket of bread once we had got our entrees and thought the bread would come out fast because it was just bread and butter. After waiting 15 minutes for bread we saw the waiter look at us as if he forgot to ask the kitchen for bread and then 5 minutes later came up to our table and apologized blaming the kitchen for being busy. We waited another 5-10 minutes when finally a different waiter dropped off the bread after we had already finished eating our entree. The food was so expensive we ate all of it even though my grandmother was unimpressed with her spaghetti dish and my mom was more than unimpressed with her pesto dish. I’d say for the price point of this restaurant you’d be better off going to scottie’s downtown cincinnati for authentic italian food. We’ve been to italy and almost every time the restaurant would drop bread off at the table for free as an appetizer with olive oil, vinegar and butter…but an italian restaurant in cincinnati charges 6$ for a bread basket, it’s almost laughable. I’d laugh if I didn’t walk out feeling duped and 100$ less rich. Seriously save the trip, you can make this food at home.
