Forno Osteria & Bar, Hyde Park
Abby was awesome
We were greeted and promptly seated. Jamie waited on us and was outstanding.
Abbi was our Server and did a super job!
Cocktails are delicious and different.
Bruschetta plate was tasty and 9 of us shared 2 plates.
Especially liked the pate with capers.
Mushroom risotto was yummy. And the wood fired pizza had a nice char to it .
Some had pasta dishes which they said was delicious.
Some had meat entrees and their plates were empty !
We were too full to try any desserts !
Lively ambiance and nice busy crowd!
Will return. ...
We're impressed by everything each time we visit. Bravissimo!
We had a wonderful meal with good friends. They had never been before and really enjoyed it. Will be back.
The food is consistently wonderful! Our daughter & her boyfriend were in town and she requested going to Forno on Saturday night. They enjoyed it as much as we do!
Wonderful food in a great atmosphere. Never disappoints.
This little joint is a must for Italian lovers! The food was amazing and the service was impressive. I believe that we would’ve loved the restaurant anyway; but Hailey truly made our experience! Her recommendations were spot on and we loved her personality and attentiveness. We had the eggplant Parmesan as an appetizer (is listed as a side) and it was delicious! The Bolognese was phenomenal, the gnocchi was unlike any other we’ve tried, crispy on the outside with a pillowy middle and we sopped up the sauce with our outstanding pizza crust. We did a half Elena and half Quattro pizza, both were delicious...but the Elena was a recommendation from Hailey and quite possibly my favorite slice of pizza ever...and I love pizza (typically with red sauce!). For the price you simply will not find a better spot than Forno! It was our first time, but we will be back....soon!!
Food is wonderful and staff is amazing! From shareables like mushroom risotto, truffle cream corn, and Roman artichokes, to fantastic pasta dishes, wood fired pizza, or larger entrees, the food refined with a nice wine list and great cocktails, but the atmosphere is the casual feel of a neighborhood bar and restaurant. The result is perfect!
Ashley is the best!!!!
Food was delicious!
We had a very nice and friendly server who answered our questions about wine and the menu. Our food was so delicious! We will be back again!!!
The food was great and our server was awesome!
Food was great. Service by Maria was excellent. First time there and will return
Our sever was great & the food was good, but the restaurant was very loud at 8:30pm.
We had a good experience! I would say it was tasty but not life-changing. The atmosphere was great and the perfect place for a date. We expected a little more flavor/creativity for the price, but still satisfying. We will go back but only after exploring more Cincinnati options .
Great place. Definitely one of the best Italian places in Cincinnati. The quality of the ingredients and the authentic method of preparation certainly makes a difference. Will definitely recommend this for families. Musts include the Elena Truffle Pizza, the Truffled Cream Corn, and the Tiramisu, among many others. We will certainly be back.
Our first time at the restaurant - after play dinner at 4:30 PM on a Sunday afternoon. There were several tables occupied when we arrived abut it got busier before we left. We had an excellent server, Laura, who split salads for us and was most helpful in describing some of the dishes. I went in hungry for short ribs but ended up with the wild boar ragu - it was outstanding. The other three in the party were similarly delighted with their choices. We'll be back!
Great food and service
Lovely evening - great staff!
Great food etc. Small portions for the price.
Eric, our server, was pretty inattentive. The level of service is usually much better there. My quiche was lukewarm, but tasty.
As always , a fabulous meal !
This was our second visit to Forno with friends. It was a great experience all around. Both the food and the service were spot on. The pasta bolognese, and the Four season pizza. The pizzas remind us of what we get in Italy.
Always so good.
We love the choice of indoor and outdoor seating. The wine and beer offerings are varied and good. Our server was very knowledgeable. We loved being able to taste more of the menu by being able to get two choices (halves) for the pasta and pizza. It was a fun night. Parking is a challenge!
Sat outside for brunch. So amazing, perfect day.
I have never been disappointed by the food and service at Forno!
The wild boar pasta is excellent! You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes. Get there if you haven’t already!
Loved the atmosphere, food was delicious and we had great service!
Amazing. Food is incredible as always
We love this place. We go for special occasions like anniversary's or birthday's. My only gripe this time was that our table was almost on top of the next couple over. Not really a big deal, just felt like I was in the middle of their conversation a few times. Food and service was amazing as usual.
Service and atmosphere were excellent. Prices were fairly high for quality and quality of food. Sides were extra and they varied in size, so not all could be shared. Overall the food was very good. However, three of us four got Lemon Veal Piccata and it was too lemony and a little salty. The quantity was okay. There were a lot of wines to choose from, but, the individual pours were small, considering the prices. The restaurant was quite busy (a Saturday night) and a tad noisy. Bottom line is that we will probably return, trying something new, and be a little judicial in ordering, to lessen the impact on our wallet.
Food was fantastic, service not so much... Either everyone in the restaurant ordered their food at the same time, or else the kitchen was understaffed. Our party of 4 took forever to get our food and the couple next to us got their entrees before their salads. Glad we ordered the bread basket... We will go back again to see if they were just having an off night, because the food was fabulous.
We are returning our daughter to Cincinnati for school. This is our favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. I dreamed of the bolognese as we started our drive from Milwaukee. This is a must stop for us every time we visit Cincinnati. I may have taken an order to go in the past... I love this place!
Love this place!!!
Forno is our favorite Italian restaurant. The food is authentic and the staff is super friendly. I was celebrating my birthday and they gave me my favorite dessert to finish a spectacular meal. That was so sweet!!
The food was delicious, service was great, and as usual the wait staff was excellent.
Outstanding! One of the most authentic Italian food I’ve ever had. Their bolognese is THE best I’ve ever had. The only thing that could possibly improve it is a shaving of fresh truffles. We also had eggplant parmigiana and mushroom risotto. We devoured everything. For dessert we had basil pannacota with blueberry compote and tiramisu.....WOW. Our waitress Haley suggested everything we had and she was on point.
Forno will definitely be my go-to place whenever I’m in Cincinnati.
The Bolonese was so outstanding. We found the Wild Boar a luttlecstrong for our taste. Abby was our waitress and she was great. Definitely going back.
