Forklift and Palate
Celebrate your special occasion at the Forklift & Palate. Suitable for all types of functions, the Forklift & Palate’s Atrium can accommodate groups as small as 10 or as large as 600 guests for your private event. The atrium brings in elements from the restaurant’s decor with cable spool tables, a bar with a pallet finish, and large pergola with lights giving the space and indoor outdoor atmosphere.
We wanted to try a new place...overall a good experience but they don’t do anything special for birthdays, events. They also do not offer any discounts at all and the menu is limited.
Very fun place! Nice menu choices and friendly staff.
Food quality was amazing, we will be back for this reason alone. The wings were huge and flavorful and the cheeseburger was cooked perfectly. Food did not all come out together, which was a bit odd but not a deal breaker. The main restaurant was not open, which concerned us at first because we had a reservation, but the atrium bar to the restaurant was open and they accommodated us there. This was our first visit to the Spooky Nook complex and navigating it was a bit confusing. There were no signs directing us from the restaurant to the atrium bar so we wandered around confused until we found an employee to ask. The atrium bar is decorated to feel like you’re outside within a huge warehouse building. It accomplished the task fairly well, and overall we really enjoyed our first experience here. We are hoping they keep trivia going every other Thursday because we can see ourselves becoming regulars.
The food was delicious; however, service was not up to par. There was no hostess nor waitress. The poor bartender had to take care of everyone and everything. That man deserves a raise!
It was my second time there. On both occasions the servers seemed to be bothered by our presence.
Food and specials are great. We were only 1 of 3 tables and all of our food, starters and main course came out at once. :( All the food was very good and I will go back.
Connor was just top shelf and made it a great time.
I love the re-use of materials in the making of the tables and fixtures of the restaurant. Maybe it was just the night I was there but the service was very slow and not very attentive. It didn't appear to be a very busy time either. The food was good enough, certainly not bad, but I found it to not be very interestingly seasoned. For example the beef empanadas were generous but seemed to be just beef in a pouch. No special or distinctive flavors. Same for the short ribs ravioli. Good meat flavor but not much else and the parmesan cheese on top was a little too much. The house salad I had was very late and seemed to be chopped lettuces like from a bag and shredded cheese from a bag on top. I expected little more for such a place.
Great night with close friends catching up and relaxing over dinner and drinks. Loved the casual atmosphere
So-so service, average food, convenient if at Spooky Nooks sports center. Not great with food allergies. After conversation about allergies brought out wrong food and luckily we noticed waitress said she forgot to put the allergy on the ticket. Would not go back.
Overall the food here is great! Abundant drink selection, love the decor and vibes
We had a reservation, it was very busy. The service was the slowest service I have ever encountered. Drinks took an hour and were terrible. Our food went to another table and arrived extremely late. Refills weren’t offered, soup never came out, but was on our bill. Extremely under staffed. I know it was a busy time, but no apologies for anything were made, service was terrible, the food itself was fine. We would not visit again.
The restaurant was not overly crowded; and while our party was a party of 10, our waiter was attentive, the bar drinks were slow to be served and our dinner took 1/2 hour to be served. The shrimp taco tortillas were suppose to be soft, but were overheated. The kids pasta was over cooked too.
The MOD did inquire about how our experience was, we were honest and she seemed disinterested in the feedback. She did give us 2-free appetizers, but since we won’t be coming back not much use for them.
The bar area & ambiance was great and with the right management could really be successful. At the present is needs a lot of attention to detail for a superior customer experience.
Food was not good, but the Service worse and the prices for what you got sucked
They have amazing burgers! All if the food, service, and setting is fantastic.
It was lovely! The Valentine’s Day special was delicious.
Great food! Good service. Very nice! Good selection of beers on tap.
Wonderful experience. Kind of s hidden gem in area
Had our holiday party here tonight. Good food, great server!
Great food and close to the Junction Center. Pleasant interior decorating style and good food.
Although the description of the place indicated that it was a converted warehouse and was co-located with a hotel. I do not recall anything in the online description that it was associated with the sports complex. Coming in on a dark, rainy night from out of town, it was confusing to find the restaurant as the signage for the hotel and restaurant was either non-existent or not very visible to someone watching the car traffic, pedestrians while not knowing where they were going. The parking signage was also terrible as I had no idea where to go and ended up back out on the road again. I finally guessed at where the entrance to the parking was located and found a place to park.. busy place!!! Once inside the main entrance... we took the long hike down to the opposite end of the building to the restaurant to enter a cozy space. Sadly, we got there late due to highway traffic and parking (rainy night) and had to shorten our dinner plans considerably to make our next stop. Rebecca?, our server was super. Very attentive, and served us quickly, brought us our check quickly without asking... The was well prepared and well plated. Enjoyed the quick dinner but really wanted to stay longer and truly take in the ambiance. Now that I know where we are going, if we are ever near there again, we are likely to stop. Bottom line - Food, Ambiance, and service was really good. Getting there not so much.
Cozy and warm decor. The food is excellent and the cocktails yummy.
Even though we noted when making the reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary, we were seated in the bar area. There was one couple was in the dining room. During our meal, two adults and four children under the age of eight were seated directly behind us. We would have preferred sitting in the dining area. That was our only complaint.
We thoroughly enjoyed every single part. We were seated quickly, the food and drinks were delicious. Service was excellent.
it was an enjoyable night out with family, food was good, waitress was very nice, the only thing I can say is that there should be bread on the table to go with your dinner. I had the lobster ravioli & when I asked for bread I was told there was none but I could pay $1.00 extra for a roll, I found this to be ridiculous. Other than that it was fine
the food was great and service was out standing. had dinner and 2 breakfast here.
The name of the restaurant implies food that will excite the palate. This restaurant serves basic American fare in a casual setting.
This restaurant is part of the Contemporary
Warehouse Hotel. Their clientele appeared to be primarily hotel guests.
The server, Becky was friendly and attentive even though she was also had a 19 top table .
The Caesar Salad was overdressed but tasty.
The salmon and lemon risotto was good but did not have the proper consistency. The salmon was seasoned well but I could only eat half of it because the other half was undercooked.
(The manager recognized the issue and removed the entree from my check.)
The raspberry and lemon creme brûlée was different. The flavor profile didn’t work and the combination looked like poke. A lemon creme brûlée topped with raspberries would have been a better flavor combination.
There are much better restaurants in Lancaster and unfortunately this one is not worth the drive.
We met my sister there for dinner since it is central from where we live and where she works. It's a great environment and delicious food!
Great atmosphere and food. Our waitress went out of her way to accommodate us. The hostess was less than energetic to be at her job, but the waitress certainly changed the mood of the evening! The food was great and had an extensive Gluten Free menu, which my business partner requires. Overall, a great evening!
Overall nice experience
The reservation staff was delightful but the experience after that just went down hill. The waiter was poor, he was not fibulae with the menu or the availability of items. We ordered appetizers which were fair but not anything exceptional. The plates from the appitizers were never cleared from the table, we pushed them to the center to get them out of the way. Two of the 6 of us had to change their order because they were out of strip steaks? The entires that we did received, were cold, we ordered the brisket which was cold, I ordered the veggie burger and it was cold in the center.....nasty! We were never asked about dessert, again none of the dishes were ever cleared from the table. I was very disappointed in my experience here, I will not return
