The food was SO bad not worth the price at all. They did refund us for some things though but it wasn't good
Our favorite got to place when we’re visiting our kids in Philly. James and Kevin always remember us, and both are just terrific and knowledgeable!
Beautiful establishment but our server didn’t pay us much attention and the food was nice, but not wow.
Everything we ordered was outstanding! The meal and atmosphere made for a perfect Mother’s Dat celebration!
We haven’t been back in awhile and the space is beautiful. The hostess had us standing around for a long time while taking a reservation over the phone and the bartender had to seat us, great save. He made a great Kentucky mule I recommend the 4 roses. Server and food was great, skate was off the charts!
The food and service were both fantastic! A great place to spend a night out.
Consistently terrific. Ellen puts Philadelphia dining on the map — what a pro!! Now please open Fork@Fairmount!!
We were here at an off hour 4:30-5 pm Sunday and we had excellent service. Food so fresh and our waiter Cory gave us a good tip re the bread/ cheese appetizer which was scrumptious and something we might not have chosen until he gave us the description of ingredients.
The food was excellent. We ate outside and had the distraction of motorcycles roaring up and down Market St. I think the police need to be engaged quickly when this recurs. Otherwise, our waiter or very charming and friendly but kept forgetting things. He needs a wee bit of supervision.
Looked like a very nice restaurant, but the service was pretty bad. Entree came out of order 5 minutes after ordering, before the appetizers and drinks that which we never got. The entree was a $150 rib eye for two & it was cool when we got it, the meedium rare striation looked like the steak was cold when they put it on the grill, an upscal eprice on something I would have sent back at applebees. Had to ask 3 timees for my coat from coat check. Maybe it was an off night, but it was pretty bad for us.
Newly rediscovered and so appreciated by us. A beautiful setting for a quiet and relaxing dinner. We will be frequent guests at Fork.
Lovely experience, great food, perfect indoor spacing
I've been going to Fork infrequently but regularly since they opened. They have never let me down. Always great food, service, and ambience. They've stepped things down from the very high end market but that really only seems to mean the waiters uniforms are slightly less formal, no linen tablecloths (but still linen napkins), and there's a burger on the menu now. Definitely highly recommend!
Probably won’t go back. My dish was good but not amazing ! My boyfriend’s dish was very very salty. He told the waitress, who was amazing, she took it back to the kitchen. They made him a new meal. When they brought it back out it was better but he had already lost his taste for it. The owner came over to check on us. Very nice, even offered complimentary coffee, tea or dessert. I took her up on the offer of tea. When we got the check...not complimentary. Our waitress was amazing but overall, very disappointed. We had been so excited to go!
What an elegant dinner in a beautiful setting.
This was our first experience dining indoors since the pandemic began last March.
We have been grateful to be dining outdoors at restaurants the past year, but newly vaccinated, ventured inside this night at Fork.
We were stunned by the beautiful surroundings and the food and comfort were newly appreciated. The staff assured us the decor had not been changed, but to us it was all new and luxurious. We’re planning another visit very soon.
After a lot of research and trying to find the perfect place; I made reservations to Fork for my hubby’s 35th birthday. From initial interaction and throughout dinner, the staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Our server was amazing and gave great recommendations. The food and cocktails were delish! Can’t wait to go back!
Phenomenal experience. The Skate and Mackerel were prepared to perfection. Love the ambience. Our server was very attentive. Cannot wait to return!!!
Super friendly staff! They ran out of the item i ordered, so instead they comped my main and offered free dessert. Also great food
A fabulous meal! From delicious and seasonal cocktails to hearty portions of expertly prepared dishes including Seared Octopus to craveable Wilted Greens and a perfect Skate Wing/ mushroom ragout dish, I couldn't have asked for a more satisfying meal. Attentive and kind staff with a safe + spacious dining room and outdoor seating area.
We were happy to return to our favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. Every dish was superb, the service non-stop, and the atmosphere returned to normal. Outstanding in every way.
All was perfect food, ambiance, service. Will come back.
This is the first time in many years. I used to be a regular however a move came into my life. I was raving to my wife, daughter and daughter-in law how good the Fork is.
Well that did not go over so well by the time we were finished. Food was not good at all and the service and friendless of the staff was even worse.
BUT THE WORSE IS THAT I HAD TO FEED THEM AGAIN.LOL
SAVE YOUR MONEY.
Food as always was amazing! Decor is uninspiring but I like the low lighting.
Terrible service, our waitress stopped by our table maybe 4 times in the 1:30 we were there. We ended up having to ask the waitress helping the table next to us for any and everything from correcting food orders to getting the check. The building itself is very cool but the service was just terrible (with the exception of the neighboring waitress working double time).
I had been to Fork twice in the past couple of years and wasn’t impressed despite the glowing critic reviews. Thought I’d give Fork one more try for Restaurant Week. Well, Fork hit it out of the park this go-round. Delicious gourmet cuisine at bargain prices. Especially enjoyed my libation “flight” of bourbon, followed by pinot noir and an after dinner digestif. I hesitated on the “ambiance” category as we dined outdoors because of the pandemic. There was a demonstration marching down Market Street past Fork with demonstrators, police on bicycles, helicopters hovering with spotlights—depending on one’s political point of view—that atmosphere could be frightening or energizing. No matter what our evening at Fork was quite interesting, both culinarily and politically!
We went for restaurant week in September 2020. The food and service was absolutely amazing. The Rib Eye steak was to die for. The steak is designed for two people and there was more than enough food. It was so abundant and delicious that we took the rest of it home.
We were seated outdoors and the weather was beautiful that day. The ambiance and decor set up outside was perfect. I would definitely recommend for a date or special occasion.
Excellent restaurant week menu! Squash and shrimp app, swordfish and hazelnut dessert. Oh and I had My first digestiv cocktail.
First chance to outdoor dine with a favorite spot. Appetizers and main dishes creative and enjoyable. One dessert (an almond cake with homemade ice cream) very good. Other ice cream dessert not up to standard. Overall, did not expect the experience dining on the sidewalk would be so relaxing. Well done
Great service & cool food choices but both of orders were very salty. We loved the flavorings and fresh herbs but needed some rice to cut the salt. If you like eclectic this is your place. Just order some pilaf on the side.
Did take out and the food was FANTABULOUS. Recommended to all our friends!!
Went with a friend! Want that impressed by the chaquetery
Fork was closed due to the shelter at home edict for Philadelphia. I base my review on prior experiences. We will return to Fork as soon as we are able.
Outstanding service made all the difference in an exceptional dining experience
The second time I have ben to Fork in as many months for brunch, and just as nice an experience both times. The food was excellent, the service quick and attentive but unobtrusive. The setting is pleasing and interesting, and it is fun to see the kitchen and staff working away at the food preparation. All in all a terrific choice.
Food was excellent
Service was inconsistent
Drink orders twice were done incorrectly
Resturant is just too loud
Everything was delicious, and service was very attentive. Love the new menu!
I love the look of FORK but was disappointed by Sunday brunch. We ordered Bloody Mary’s which were undrinkable, they looked black and were peppery & terrible. The restaurant agreed something was wrong. The replacement bloody Mary’s or marginal but freshly made. We also ordered bacon, which smelled old & we sent back. Hope it gets better.
We were looking for something last minute and ended up choosing fork for the location and could not have been happier! Great vibe, excellent service and the food was outstanding. Would definitely go back!
We had a delicious meal at this lovely restaurant. Every one of the wait staff were superior. The wine steward was knowledgeable and helpful; the waitress was a delight. My husband forgot his jacket and they called as soon as we left to let us know. I returned call after they called and two different people called to let us know how to get it the next day. An all in all great experience.
