Fork - Philadelphia

The service was unreasonably small for such a small space. The price point was high given a meal that was average in taste, but nicely presented.
Outstanding service. Incredibly tender and flavorful venison. Great to see a long-time high performer still pushing for excellence
A new chef, a few alterations to the design, and Fork is continuing its remarkable run as one of the city's best restaurants. Jeremy Hansen is a worthy successor to Terence Fleury, Eli Kulp, and John Patterson, with his own perspective on ingredients and preparation. We loved the mussels with two kinds of sausage, the gravlax with mustardy cream cheese and rye bread, and we shared the enormous plate of venison served for the table. Next time, we want to try the halibut and the duck. Our server, Maggie, was outstanding, too, and the wine list is quirky and delightful. We can't wait to go back.
Both the hostess an server provided an excellent experience.
This was my second visit to the restaurant. I enjoyed my meal both times good was fresh and flavorful. When we return to visit Philadelphia again will absolutely come back to fork. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
The wine list and drink menu were limited and the service was not good. The food overall was good though.
Food was outstanding— fluke, salmon and wagyu steak. Same for hors d’oeuvres and dessert (especially peanut butter crisp!). We sat next to open kitchen— clean, multiple servers worked with utmost precision/efficiency. Smooth operation. No significant noise, no heavy odors.
And this was topped by an outstanding server— Maggie.
We had held off coming back for more than 1.5 years because our last experience was so disappointing. We decided to try again after close friends said they had a wonderful meal recently. We returned and are so glad we did. It was a 5 star dinner and evening! Definitely will return... soon
We wee impressed with the food and service. The venison was outstnding!
Excellent service! Wonderfully attentive and timed. Special toast and dessert for birthday gal. Delicious and enjoyable from start to finish!
Very good food, very great customer service,it’s a plus that they validate the parking...
Best restaurant I’ve eaten at in Philadelphia
Excellent in every way-especially happy with the timing of courses, which is often difficult in multicourse meals.
Ellen and her team operate what is the best and most consistent restaurant in the city. The menu for Valentine’s Day was terrific, the wine options were great and the atmosphere just right. Even the soundtrack for the evening was well matched to the day and place. We love going here and highly value everything she does to keep the restaurant in fabulous form.
Back to form! Bravo! Every Valentine bite was delicious.
We loved this for Valentines Day. One of us has a steak that was a little undercooked, and they quickly fixed it for us AND brought us each a glass of sparkling wine as an apology, which was totally not necessary but a lovely gesture. The food was delicious; the sturgeon and caviar especially was wonderful. Highly recommend.
Alll dishes very salty, dry and tasteless
Great food & service. Love Vernon our host! Food was good. We sat near the open line and it was quite comfortable and interesting watching the turn out. My salad was good and the duck had an interesting smoky flavor. My friend had the Wagu beef and took home the leftovers for steak and eggs the next morning. My Husband had the shrimp and my other friend had the fluke which were also tasty. Our waiter helped us with selecting the wine which was better than the glass I had at the bar.
We finished with 2 desserts of the flourless chocolate and peanut butter crunch. Both were good.
I haven't been to Fork in years but always like it. It's just a bit pricey to make it a habit.
The Server Tara was so warm and welcoming. Recommended her favorites , which were amazing. The staff was very attentive but not overbearing.
Delicious food, great service - brunch recommendations are the steak and eggs and delicious wagyu burger. Awesome!
Fork is great. Food was outstanding. Service was great. It was our anniversary and we were made to feel very special by the staff at Fork. I will definitely dine there again the next time I'm in Philadelphia.
Wonderful ambience and incredible food! Beautiful presentation to boot. The interior is gorgeous and creative. We’ve been many times and they never disappoint.
Way too much salt in soup made it barely edible. Salt and unnecessarily spicy mussels and sausage was barely edible. Another order of fish was way too salty for another diner. My my, menu items need work.
Do NOT eat here if you have Celiac disease or allergies. They did not take celiac disease seriously, and they are not knowledgable at all about serving people with Celiac disease. They contaminated all of my food and did not seen to care that this was the case. Their staff needs to be better trained regarding Celiac disease. I could have complained more, but as we went here for a birthday celebration, I did not feel like causing more of a scene.
Our waitress was so rude. Ambiance and food were good though.
Great time enjoying our get together & the best seasonal flavors!
tldr; Go to Fork ASAP. Super worth it.
My girlfriend and I received a gift certificate to Fork and, both honestly and unfortunately, hadn't heard of the restaurant beforehand. We decided to go one evening before heading to a friends house and wow. We almost decided to forego hanging out with friends just so we could take more time to revel in our experience. My partner ordered the wagyu tartare, her first time having the dish, and she surprised by how much she enjoyed it (particularly with the house-made crackers that come with). I am a vegetarian, though, and it used to be difficult to find good food when I went out to eat. At Fork, however, the waitress immediately knew how to help. She flipped her pad to a list of vegetarian options. These weren't just some BS chain-restaurant options like pasta alfredo without meat. The choices were almost all of the original dishes but with some key changes. I decided to go for the Fluke dish but instead of Fluke I was provided fried oyster mushrooms. Oh. My. God. It may sound silly but seriously, I've never had oyster mushrooms done so well before. It was incredible. When my girlfriend tried it her jaw dropped and I literally laughed out loud. I had NEVER gotten a more expensive / 'better' dish than someone else before at a restaurant because of the limited options. Fork changed that and I am so, so pleased.
For the drinks, be a little cautious. The house wine was more expensive than another wine on the menu which was really surprising. I tried the smoky old fashioned and, well, it was smokey. Maybe tooooo smokey, but still good. The prices are comparable to every other place in Philly though, so they're not at all price gouging just because the restaurant is high scale.
Rosé was amazing and the long hits were good too!
We love the ambiance and the menu here. The steak and eggs, chorizo scramble, and the cheese omelette did not disappoint. The burger was asked for medium and it was very rare. Our service could have been better. Very slow to take order. Kept having to ask for coffee refills. Salt was asked about, but then never brought. Service is usually very good here and kinda what you pay for. It was also a Birthday brunch and they did nothing but acknowledge by saying Happy Birthday.
The service was outstanding. Polite and patient with all great options offered and catered to your liking. Food was outstanding.
The food was exquisite, as always, and I love the new menu
A cozy environment that was just right for a warm conversation. Each plate we enjoyed was beautiful displayed and tasted just as lovely. It made for a perfect evening.
The venison was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Pricey but absolutely worth spoiling yourself :-P
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding.
Dinner for four has been disappointing. Uninspiring and confusing new menu. Average dishes. Decent service. Music much too loud.
Service was friendly and great. Food was a bit disappointing. Breakfast steak was grisly. Pancake was okay, but wasn’t expecting one huge, plate-sized pancake. Mimosas were generous. Coffee was very good.
Service was extremely slow. Sunday lunch. Did not take our food order for 35 minutes. Had to ask for drink refills and the check. Food was good but with so many great restaurant in Philadelphia, this will not be a repeat.
Wow. Absolutely stunning service. Great ambiance. And the food was amazing. Sorry for not being more verbose, lol, but they simply nailed it!!! :)
We savored everything, start to finish, with excellent wine pairings, including a white port for dessert. I’d repeat the experience in a moment.
Our friends birthday Sunday brunch our server put a candle in the pastry great service and food thank you fork
Fork is a great spot for Sunday brunch. Excellent menu variety and great spin on popular dishes. Definitely will go back.
