We were there to celebrate a birthday. The food and service were very good. However it took quite a while to be seated even though we had a 7:15 reservation. It was awkward to continue to stand crowded up against the bar while we waited.
Fork continues to be on of the best dining experiences in Philadelphia. Reinventing itself with every new chef. Thank you for a great evening.
Excellent meal, wine, and service! I've never been disappointed at Fork. The new chef (Fall 2019) is exploring some exciting new things and all were hits at our table.
Was recommended by a frequent guest to eat here. The espresso tasted horrible. Something was wrong with it. The steak was raw, almost inedible, on one side, but completely seared on the other. I have no clue how the chef managed that. The eggs and potatoes were flavorless. No seasoning.
Sean was an excellent bar tender/server who was very informative about the Fork fare choices as well as recommendations on our extremely awesome meal combination.
The new chef has put together an amazing menu. Don't miss the mushrooms - they are to die for! We had a party of 6 and we are already planning to come again.
Excellent food and service. We come here often and this was, by far, the best experience we’ve had. The new menu was great! The owner and staff genuinely care about exceeding our expectations. We will definitely be back!
Fork is a good choice if you don’t have any dietary requirements/preferences. I went to Fork for a work dinner and checked out the menu in advance to see if they offered vegan options. I thought I would be ok as they offered vegetables. When I asked if they could prepare a vegetable plate - they declined and said I would have to multiple sides and they would remove the cheese. I had carrots and mushrooms for dinner.
Food and service were amazing! Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. It was the perfect amount of food. We left feeling full but not grossly stuffed.
An excellent restaurant. Great, innovative cuisine and excellent service. We were a party of six, and everyone fully enjoyed being there.
The food was delicious, and everyone working was extremely nice
We had a wonderful evening at Fork. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming . Can't wait to return!!
The waitress and staff from front to the kitchen were awesome! Loved every bite and sip of wine!!
It was fabulous don’t miss the mushrooms tempora. Ellen Yin snd her new chef have scored many bells in our foodie book. Bravo Ellen. Never stop innovating. You are a Philly icon.
the mushroom dish was beyond delicious! once again a very pleasant dining experience all around
Cute little spot for brunch.
Everyone from the minute we stepped inside the restaurant until we left were wonderful.
Service was excellent as was the food. Will definitely go again.
The food was inventive, delicious, and well-orchestrated. The service deserves a sixth star.
We really enjoyed our dinner on Saturday night. The food was delicious- lots of unusual ingredients that came together in unique but familiar ways. The decor was beautiful and staff was friendly, helpful and down to earth. We ordered the scallops, butternut squash, waygu steak and the chicken. All were fantastic.
Server was good! Ambiance was nice. Liked the small plate options.
The staff is well trained. They work together as a team unlike any restaurant you will typically visit. The menu is unique and full of unusual and full bodied flavors. You would be hard pressed to find a chef who combined disparate farm to table foods better than FORK. This is a $$$ restaurant and I had not problem paying it. The family style service is fabulous. You can share 3 courses and be dated or 6 with dessert and feel comfortable without being overly full.
I tried 10 dishes. 9 were exquisite. The 10th was very good the only challenge was the toughness of the meat cut, but the flavors made up for it. Drinks were well mixed (yes you could taste the alcohol) and innovative. My fav was beez nees and old fashioned. Be bold and you will benefit from trying unique flavors. I will be back whenever I am in Philly!
Great meal, attentive service in comfortable surrounds. Found a nice Barolo reasonably priced.
Overall - great experience - will return.
Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. Great brunch!
Food and service, generally speaking is always quite good. On this occasion, they seemed overwhelmed on both fronts. Services was extremely slow. 2 hours. First we had to wait for our reserved table, only 15 minutes...but still. Then the service was slow. We waited over an hour for our main course. After I complained they did offer some complimentary drinks and sent out a complimentary pasta dish that was exceptional, but I would have been much happier if they would not have waited 30+ minutes to decide they had a problem. So will we be back? probably. The food is very good and I think they just had a rough night, but if it were to happen again...I doubt we would return.
The food and service were all good - it’s a very high end and fussy menu though which is not what we typically like.
Very accommodating. The food was brought out in good timing. The portions were fair and the seafood was very fresh.
Wonderful in every way!
Fantastic brunch, excellent food and drinks. Definitely on the higher-end price wise, but well worth it. Great ambiance and a reasonable noise level for a crowded place. Some tables were extremely close together so there may be a little squeezing depending on where you're sitting.
Food was great! Service was superior. Very attentive to our needs!
one of the classic, most respected restaurants in philly...and so well deserved. will always be one of the special restaurants of philadelphia
The quality of service from being welcomed upon entering the restaurant through the expressions of thanks and hopes of a return visit while exiting the building was exceptional! The food and drink even more so.
I would recommend FORK to the more adventurous eater. We enjoyed the burrata that came untraditional in a scooped out roasted acorn squash. Our entrees were delicious, Wagyu Beef and citrus scallops. The scallops being just about the best I ever had. Dessert was shared, blue cheese ice cream with an almond cake. Everything was yummy but for the hearty rye bread though, we were left wanting more and still hungry.
Great dining experience. Highly recommend to the discerning diner
New Menu is wonderful! A lovely experience .
Still reflecting on the meal and it was several days ago. memorable !
The food was cool and seemed overcooked. They new dishes were creative but seemed to be a stretch... what's special about prawns from Nigeria except the whopping huge price? They tasted like any other prawn.
Food was amazing. Just delicious and perfect textures.
Only the Service was slow. Our reservation was for 11am and our meal was served at 12:20pm. After taking our order, not a single server spoke to us to check in, until food was served. That’s a long wait.
Still a great restaurant.
It had been quite some time since we went to Fork (at least 6 or 7 years). The last time we dined there it was good, but not great. We were given a gift card by friends 2 years ago and finally decided to give Fork another try after seeing a matinee performance of Hamilton. The meal far exceeded our expectations. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The tempura mushrooms are to die for. Unbelievably tasty. We also had the burrata which was very good. For dinner, my husband had the Wagyu beef and I had the agnolotti with duck confit and duck breast -- both dishes had outstanding flavor and were perfectly cooked. Fork has a very eclectic wine list -- we had a wonderful bottle that was excellent with both of our dishes. Also the bread at Fork is fantastic. Beautiful ambience. Enjoyed a drink at the bar before dinner as well. We will definitely be back soon.
Chicken was overcooked. Very unexpected for the price.
Not a true contemporary American restaurant. The food is heavily influenced by Asian and French cuisine. Some of the dishes call to mind that which one might find in Quebec. Additionally, a Wagyu steak should not be presented atop a bed of barley, coated in a soy based glaze and topped with two different sauces. It should come perfectly seared, seasoned with salt and pepper and (maybe) basted with butter. People buy Wagyu to taste the meat. . . not to hide the meat behind a wall of vegetarian flavor.
Always consistently good. They never disappoint. Service, food, ambience are special.
