Sat at the bar and had happy hour. Bartender was lovely and accommodating, service was excellent, food was delicious. We had a very nice time!
Outstanding service and food. Truly a first class dining experience.
Thank you for a special time.
Excellent service from the time we walked in the door
Service rushed the meal making it unrelaxing.
Very attentive staff, excellent food. Great experience. Can’t wait to go back.
My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Fork. We're New Yorkers, and as such have high expectations for both food and service. Fork was a knockout for both! The food was absolutely outstanding. My husband commented on how I kept saying "yum" at every bite! The service was positively wonderful from the hostess (who's father was the artist who created the gorgeous lighting) the serving staff who were informative and polite to the bartender who was also friendly and helpful. You'd think given the food level (meaning such high quality) that the staff might be snooty, but far from it. Overall this was a fantastic dining experience that we would highly recommend!
Must have been a very bad night for the chefs and servers.
At one time, Fork was my favorite Philly restaurant.
The quality went down and I stopped going. A few months ago we were headed to the Arden theater and decided to give Fork another try. The meal and service were surprisingly good. So much so, we returned tonite and ordered the same dish (black sea bass for two).
My summer salad was the best part of the meal. The oysters my husband ordered were exceptionally small and
he did not care for the plain vinegar he was served for dipping.
The black bass for 2 was also so small tonite that we didn’t leave any over and were still a bit hungry. It seemed like it was all head. Further, it wasn’t butterflied the attractive way it had been in the previous visit. The al a carte string beans were swimming in too much butter and were also a very tiny portion. We skipped dessert as we had no faith it would be worth the calories or the price.
The service was also disappointing. There were many servers stopping by but little professionalism or attention to detail. The black bass arrived with no sharing plates. While we were waiting (a while) for the plates, another server came by and actually asked us how we’re enjoying our bass. When I pointed out we hadn’t tried it yet as we had no plates, she slurried off but offered no apology.
Needless to say we won’t be giving Fork another try.
This is an outstanding Philadelphia restaurant (one of the best), suitable for celebrations and special dinners. Service is up to the old time standards and you feel catered to but not overwhelmed (they don't hang over the table). We shared a flounder ceviche followed by a shared black bass with extra sides of crispy potatoes and fresh peas. The presentations were beautiful and the food was terrific!
We were one of the first people to be seated for dinner that evening and I wanted to impress a client, So I chose for
We came here in a work trip and completely indulged ourselves. The food was spectacular and our server was amazing. He made incredible wine and food recommendations. In fact, the whole staff was kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back next time we are in Philadelphia!
One of the nicest things about our evening was when our waiter brought all of the bottles of wines-by-the-glass choices to our table and let us taste to choose our wine. I chose the Vouvray. It may not have been possible on a packed weekend evening although the restaurant was pretty busy for a Wednesday. Just added some extra specialness to the experience. Food great, gorgeous interior, friendly staff.
The service was a bit odd. The server read through the entire menu with us which was super unnecessary since he didn't really have much additional information to add to the descriptions already provided. At least the food was good.
Awesome Date Location! Really enjoyed it. Loved all the free lil sample items that were brought out in between courses. It brought a level of surprise and fun, on top of being delicious. Food was great! Service was helpful and great! Love the presentation of the dishes and the ambience of the restaurant! Highly recommend!
Amazing food and service. A must try for anyone looking for an amazing dining experience!
Perfect from arrival to departure. The food was amazing and waitstaff was attentive.
Service was very good and the ambiance was delightful. Three of us had the pork -- it was very good as were the sides -- but there was a lot of fat on the pork. A glass of wine was $20 -- a little steep for the quality -- maybe not for Philadelphia.
Fantastic, start to finish...delicious food, great service and presentation, very nice atmosphere!
Everything was top notch
Good food. Good service. Expensive with small portions.
Fork continues to be one of the most outstanding restaurants in Philadelphia.
Fork was an astounding experience all around. Drinks were very good, and the food was out of sight.
Really the best place in Philly to eat in my opinion. Service was very knowledgeable and friendly.
service was good, food was amazing!
The food and the service were amazing. I had the scallops and they literally melted in my mouth. Amazing job Fork crew!
I had a lovely birthday dinner there with friends. I absolutely love the mussel appetizer, exquisite! My only complaint is that the portion sizes are a bit small. The drinks and desserts were yummy too.
Great. Delicious food.
Excellent experience. Wait service was outstanding. We were there at 6:00 on a Friday night and wait staff made us feel welcome and never rushed. They were not intrusive but seemed to be there just when we needed them. Bravo! Food was excellent as well. My friend had the scallops and they were outstanding as was my risotto with mushrooms. I thought the cold asparagus wrapped in frozen butter and Parmesan didn’t quite succeed. We will definitely return and love Fork.
Oh my -- we really love Fork. IMO it's the best restaurant in Philly. Everything, everything, everything is great. The menu is always changing so it's hard to recommend a specific dish. However, if you decide on a prix fixe menu, have a look at the "For the Table" shared entrees. We had the whole duck for 2: legs confit, breast roasted with some sort of delectable honey glaze. It was brilliant. The wait staff were spot-on: knowledgeable and just the right amount of attentive. We'll be back.
We didn’t feel that the food was extraordinary - for a comparable price, let’s say we’ve been wow’d some other places in Philly. Service was good but again not memorable. We were asked twice - on the phone and while we arrived - whether it was a special occasion but it was ambiguous to us what this meant while delivery. So I’m not saying it was a bad experience but it wasn’t valuable either.
Our friends joined us from Brooklyn NY for our OUTSTANDING dinner! Every bite - from the extraordinary Cape May oysters to the Madeira and desserts - was exclamation-worthy! Sending a huge THANKYOU to the amazing staff!!!
Loved the food , the energy, the service and the variety of people. A fun happening place with an eclectic vibe and great food
Very disappointing. Server was unresponsive and very slow with beverages. Potatoes were the opposite of what was described. Eggs were boring and bland. Oysters were small and tasteless. Overall a low-quality experience.
Service was great but everything - including the ice cream - YES salty ice cream but not in a dated caramel way- overall the food was so salty as to verge on inedible.
Fork was sold out of their signature dish, the Duck Feast, at 7pm. They only stocked 10 orders on a Saturday night. We left and went somewhere else.
Beautiful presentation with fresh and delightful flavors! One of our best dinners at Fork in the past decade.
The only available dining time was their earliest and while we were there over an hour and a half, there were still many empty tables. This practice of making diners come early because it suits the restaurant is annoying. However, the food was good, tasty and not overpoweringly rich mushroom risotto for me and my companion had pork chops with a side of excellent asparagus. The wine selection by the glass could have been more extensive. The sorbet/ice cream dessert was very good. Fork has a well designed ambiance and the servers were attentive.
Fork is a special place to set aside the everyday and reconnect with yourself and others through conversation, fine wine and wonderful food. Couldn’t ask for more....
Our party of three had a delightful, though not especially memorable, dinner at Fork recently. I hadn't been there in several months. The service remains excellent and the ambiance quiet and elegant. My scallops were fine but nothing special. One of our party had the roasted cauliflower, and, truth be told, it looked like a slog for her to eat her way through a head of cauliflower. The wines by the glass were terrific. We will definitely return but I hope the overall caliber of the food is not declining.
One of the hidden gems of the city. Perfect dining experience. Unlike most eateries in town it does provide exquisite dishes that are portion perfect for fine dining.
We had the muscles on toast, the provincial salad and duck for starters, Black Sea Bass and Halibut. For desert strawberry cheesecake and an awesome chocolate something.
Phenomenal! The attention to detail from the service to the meal was excellent. Our four hour dining experience was SPECTACULAR!
Food was excellent, at least the part of the order we received. Wine superb. Coffee , French press, utterly dreadful. Fr3nch press coffee is not supposed to be light brown in color. It tasted worse than it looked. Server said failures due to being understaffed. Restaurant looked to be half empty.
Will go back for the food, will not get coffee and hope that bread gets to both of us at the same time.
