Fork Ratings and Reviews
We had a reservation however, we arrived early. They were still able to seat us right away. The service was great and the food was really good. They were in between menus or in the process of changing their drink menu. When we tried to order a specific drink we found out it was no long available. Not a big deal, but good to know. The food was good, nothing super outstanding but I will say the sausage gravy was especially good. The chicken and waffles dish was also very good but hard to cut around the bones in the chicken piece. All in all it was a good experience and we will definitely consider it again for brunch.
There is always a table available for brunch on weekends, so we land up there.
Salmon added to a salad was PERFECTLY cooked [though the portion was smaller than I'd like].
The Benedict my niece had was OUTSTANDING!
Their coffee needs some strengthening, specially the decaf, which should not mean "deflavored".
The food was absolutely wonderful and only a few bad things. The service was super slow, I waited a long time to get my order taken and then to get my drinks. They were out of the donut-holes when I got there which was really disappointing. The server also brought out the wrong dish for me (I asked for egg whites and she dropped off an omelet with whole eggs). My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles and raved about it and said it wonderful. I had a simple omelet that I could've gotten anywhere and some toast which was decent.
Excellent meal, once again! My wife and I have gluten free dining requirements and, once we mentioned it to our server, Niko, he took it upon himself to make sure we were aware of menu items we could have or not, and made recommendations to compensate. Excellent service. This, along with the fantastic food made our dining experience memorable and very special.
I've always enjoyed Fork, the shared plates make it easy to try more things and everything has always been quite tasty. The bacon wrapped dates with chorizo & blue cheese were amazing, as was the butternut squash soup. Wine flights are generally good and nice variety. Only complaint was table for 2 felt like we were sitting alongside a hallway, facing the bar, a little bit awkward.
Maybe this was an off night for Fork. This was not the delicious food I recall from prior experiences. We had the special which was brisket (dry and swirled in hot sauce identified on the menu as bbque- I'd be disappointed if I had cooked it), mac and cheese (which was fine), slaw which was good. The beet salad was good, but something a lot of places do really well; and the roasted cauliflower was just odd- in a sauce neither of us could identify and a hugh mound of cauliflower that was difficult to cut. To be fair, our server tried to direct us to other items when we expressed interest in the cauliflower but we both wanted to try it so over road her recommendation. The meal was very forgetable, which made me sad as Fork has been a place I loved in the past and was eager to return to this time. However, I don't think I'll be going back :(
Had a very nice experience at Fork on a Sunday evening. Server was exemplary, food was quick and tasty - could expand their wine list a bit. Highly recommend the scallops - amazing, as well as the octopus. My son got the duck club and loved it as well. I would definitely would go back and am looking forward to trying Knife as well soon.
We had a delicious dinner at Fork. I had the Lady Cab Driver flight of cabernet sauvignon wines, which was a great way to sample the 3 cabs Fork offers. The beer list is extensive with some unique choices. We shared a few small plates - the vegetable flatbread was excellent! I had the crab cakes, which I would definitley recommend. My daughter, a vegetarian, had the mushroom burger - also a good choice. Service was good, though they were busy and we waited a bit for drinks. The restaurant has a nice casually trendy feel to it, not stuffy at all. I'd highly recommend it and will certainly return.
My guy and I had really delectable salads - he had the mixed greens with a bowl of potato soup and I had the Pesto Salad. We agreed that the ingredients were very fresh and the combinations of ingredients were really delightful. We hadn't been to the restaurant in a few years and were glad that we tried it again!
Fork is my go to restaurant when I have people with different tastes. The menu has numerous options, and the quality of the food is excellent. A good selection of small plates also. Nice wine and beer options. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the noise level is lower than at most similar-sized restaurants in the area. Service has always been attentive.
