Fork - Chicago
We had a wonderful gathering with our family members some of whom were visiting from out of town. The warm, comfortable ambience was very conducive to conversation. Given the wind and rain outside, it was cozy inside. The menu is a bit limited but varied. We especially enjoyed the shareables e.g. the charcuterie platters. This was our first time having dinner at Fork. Previously we had enjoyed Sunday Brunches. We highly recommend Fork.
Disappointing experience. Slow service and lukewarm steak.
Dinner at this neighborhood gem is always great. Tonight they raised the bar and by ANY STANDARD, dinner exceeded ALL expectations. Hamachi en papillote and cauliflower grits were indescribably delicious. Cocktails expertly made by super bartender and always a great management and wait staff. And of course pumpkin bread pudding for dessert to complete the evening.
This was our Third visit to Fork. We sat in the main room in booth which was lovely. Food was very good, drinks too! Will go back!
What an awesome find! This cozy restaurant has a great menu, awesome bar, friendly staff and delicious food. Would go again for sure!!
We like this restaurant a lot! It’s a refreshing change of place for breakfast/brunch. We especially enjoy the variety of menu items. Service was efficient and friendly. This was our third visit to Fork. Now we will be trying Fork for dinner. We made a reservation for a return visit before we left the restaurant.
Got together with friends for brunch. It was crazy busy and service was a little slow, but the food was great and affordable.
Got in for an early dinner with a five year old in the group. Worked out perfectly. Would have liked to have an option to order bread and butter just to satisfy the group before the entrees were served. We did not want a full appetizer.
Had lunch at the bar several weeks prior and enjoyed it very much.
Still love this place - but could have been a better experience this time
The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic!!! The best breakfast in town.
Was I at a neighborhood restaurant or a Michigan Avenue seafood restaurant. The mahi mahi special tasted Michigan Avenue but the price and ambiance was my neighborhood favorite.
Had one if my favorite menu items. Mac and cheese. Simply one of the best places in Chicago for this comfort food. Perfect amount of cheese and creaminess.
Fork is a solid go to and you can always get a reservation at the last minute. I enjoyed my wine flight and really loved the kale salad. My boyfriend and I split a charcuterie plate but it felt skimped on the amount of cheese for the price and not many condiments so I’d probably skip that next time, or maybe not create our own.
The food and drinks were as excellent as I remember. A great hidden gem
Excellent pasta special , made vegetarian upon request. Topped off with seasonal pumpkin bread pudding. Best service.
Great food, very flavorful!! Server was very helpful in guiding our dinner choices. Will definitely return! Excellent menu!
Place is very attractive and relatively quiet.
Not satisfied with my order which was mac and cheese- was very runny, not well-baked. However the staff was very generous, offered to give me something else or take it off my bill. Fish was good.
Specials this week again featured a pasta dish (gnocchi) that easily was as good as any Italian restaurant in the Loop at half the price. And seasonal favorite, pumpkin bread pudding finished the meal. Excellent management and staff. Highly recommend.
Had a great dinner. Memorable Mac & Cheese.
Excellent server.
Came back for more pumpkin bread pudding! 😁😁😁😁
First time dining at the Fork. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy their food. Had the chicken breast which was good. I wouldn't say super excellent - but very acceptable. That's how I would describe everyone's meals. Perfectly fine, but not really outstanding in any way. The pumpkin bread pudding dessert was really good though. Ambiance fine, lots of family's there when we were dining which is also fine. Service was a little slow at times, could tell the waiter was extra busy. Again - not a biggie. Appreciated the fact that the noise level wasn't bad. Overall, if I lived in the neighborhood I'd definitely go back.
The specials were extraordinary. Fish and Chips as good as a Wisconsin Fish Fry and my seasonal favorite, pumpkin bread pudding!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch meal. The duck confit hash is amazing! And the raspberry mimosa so very delicious!
New fall menu additions. Fork’s delicious mashed potatoes are back!😁
Fork was excellent. My server was kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable about the menu contents, and very pleasant
Food was subpar and fairly pricey for this neighborhood. Service was excellent and the wine list was quite interesting. We would definitely be back for a drink, but not for the food.
The food was overall tasty, the staff was very helpful, but the noise level was loud. The one concern we had is that some of our drinks were served in glasses with chips and all the staff could do was so "It happens!' Would have appreciated a little more concern.
Outstanding, as always.
The scallop special dinner was 4 scallops. I left hungry.... totally disappointed for a $29 plate. Service was slow (restaurant was not packed), terrible value, Wine was meh, $5 for a lemonade that wound up with two fruit flies in it. Definitely will not return
As always, the choice and quality of food was good if not excellent. The salmon was perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed the pretzels and a specialty flatbread with heirloom tomatoes. The latter was good, even though the tomatoes made for a somewhat soggy dish. There was a large delay between the appetizer and the main dish.
Not good value! Nothing worth returning. Would not recommend.
The pasta special was worthy of an Italian fine dining restaurant.
Our experience was all good. We dined outside at a table on sidewalk. Not too noisy or crowded. Inside might have been nicer but we really liked the opportunity to be outside. Staff was friendly and efficient.
Thanks!
Artichoke he was phenomenal! Great brunch! Super staff.
Our server was also the bartender and I hope she was a better bartender than she was a server.
Cheese boards with a great selection of choices, was dinner tonight.
Great atmosphere and friendly efficient staff. A great experience for the adults and kids. Definitely will go back and highly recommend.
Had the “melt in your mouth” salmon from the regular menu. Highly recommend.
A great ending to Labor Day; dinner at Fork.
We came for dinner to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. What a great meal. We enjoyed a delicious cheese plate (five yummy cheeses). I had the salmon with succotash for my entree. It was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. I am not a big succotash fan (most have Lima beans and eggplant—neither shine in that dish. But Fork’s version had neither and was complimented with a savory corn broth. Amazing!! It complimented the salmon perfectly. My husband had the fish special. It was also delicious and perfectly cooked. We were surprised by our waiter, Adam, with a dessert for our anniversary—a flourless chocolate cake. Wow! So good. As always the service was great. Another great dinner at one of our favorite places. Thanks, Fork.
