Loved everything about the meal; however I wish my food was hotter. I enjoyed the ambiance and the service was great.
We went there to celebrate my boyfriend’s 30th birthday. The service was outstanding and they really made us feel special. Great place to have a date night or celebrate an occasion. The food and cocktails were also amazing! We loved the fried oysters, scallops, and the mushroom risotto. Overall a great experience, looking forward to going back again.
We were very impressed with fork and wrench. When we were trying to decide between entrees our server gave a very meaningful, well-thought out answer that showed he really cared about the food. The food itself was both creative and delicious. I have to say the most impressive part of our meal was the truffled grits. The flavor was perfectly subtle which is notoriously difficult to achieve with truffle. The place has a refined yet quirky feel. We would gladly go back!
I have always loved Fork and Wrench and I'm sad to hear it's up for sale (According to their Facebook page postings). They are not your typical tavern in both scenery and food options. They remind me of a steam-punk version of Annabel Lee. On this occasion I had the cider-braised short ribs and my friend had the seared scallops... both delicious and recommended. We also indulged in the cheese plate... also quite good. They even supplied us with some extra criostini as per our request. I will say they gave me the most odd version of a Cosmopolitan that I'd ever had - made with St. Georges vodka - Ewww... lesson learned. Not really their fault though; I didn't return it and finished it as did my friend. I always say if you drink a third or more before making a final decision, it's yours. So, I'm not really complaining - just an observation. So, go before they aren't around anymore... highly recommend.
I love going to this restaurant because the bartender really knows his cocktails. You can tell he cares about what he does. It shows in the drinks he makes. I always get something off the menu, which is a lot of fun.
The food was amazing and the service outstanding. My husband and I both really enjoyed our cocktails created by their mixologist! We will go again soon!
Food, drinks, ambiance was amazing. Highly suggest for a date, group gathering, girls night out.
Delicious food and great atmosphere! Service was awesome and we commented that we liked the pickled string beans in the Bloody Mary's and they brought us a few more to munch on. Everything was great!
The ambiance is unique the food adventurous and the staff friendly and efficient. This is a true neighborhood gem.
The food was excellent, as always, and the waiter did a great job with recommendations when we asked. The restaurant has so much character and charm as well, with a welcoming ambiance and interesting decor.
We had a great double-date here last weekend. Service was incredible (waitress remembered everything about our friends, who had dine there over a month ago) and food was fantastic. Only regret was getting the short-ribs (they weren't great) but everything else from apps to drinks were great. Good setting and funky vibe. Would recommend.
Great decor and service. Food portions were small but great to order a few and share.
I like fork and wrench for dinner but the brunch was Erby lackluster. $16 for an egg sandwich with scrambled eggs and potatoes is a rip off. Plus it took 40 minutes to arrive. The grits in the shrimp and grits were odd. They weren’t creamy, not exactly dry but just strange. The shrimp wasn’t flavorful. I won’t go back for brunch.
Loved it. The drinks, the food, the ambiance and great waiter. We all would like to return !
Everything we had was so amazingly good. The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Also do you take a look at the cocktails there’s some really tasty things there.
Love the Fork and Wrench! Usually only came for special occasions, now making it a tradition to come for Sunday Brunch!
Outstanding as always --- never a bad experience here.
Had an exceptional evening at the Fork and Wrench - Sat upstairs which was quiet enough to have a conversation (a rarity in Baltimore restaurants these days). Cocktail was expertly prepared. Fried oysters and burrata and beet salad had terrific flavor. Scallops were grilled perfectly. Enjoyed a beautiful piece of halibut with a pecan crust served with a delicious light sauce including apples and sweet potatoes. Excellent baguettes also. Dinner capped off with a rich chocolate pudding. Service was excellent. Well worth the visit.
Outstanding food . Best craft cocktails in town.
Great for many things. Just a lovely place with great food and staff.
Food was incredible. Decor was super cool and staff was great. Highly recommend to everyone.
the food was delish the service was amazing. drinks were unusual and delish all around fantastic place to eat full of ambiance.
We've been loyal returning customers for at least 5 years, and F&W has been mostly really enjoyable. We loved the beef tartar but the "swoosh" of sauce was barely enough to taste so we had to get some on the side. The trend of the swoosh of sauce needs to go from all restaurants.. especially if the sauce is delicious, be proud and serve it up (and this was delicious!). The fried oysters were pretty pretentious and the one thing I wouldn't get again. We also got the swordfish and the broth was fantastic and so well seasoned. Our main issue with this visit was our strange server, who was both inhospitable and abrupt. She never offered us more drinks. She would abruptly leave before we were finished ordering. We probably would have spent more money and ordered more food if she didn't take off as quickly as she did. My impression was that she doesn't typically serve. If she does, I recommend she be offered another position.
The food was good. The restaurant has a great feel. The servers were very nice.
Food was good, waitress was great, was slightly loud though but they were busy so I wouldn’t let that keep me from going back.
Wonderful food and great service. Nice place to enjoy dinner with old friends.
Excellent service. Great atmosphere and food was phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Great experience ! Food and drinks were excellent. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect for brunch. The food and drinks were both creative and delicious.
You definitely get the ambiance of being back in the working class of the mid 1900s. I would recommend ordering several appetizers to share. We enjoyed the Brussel sprouts that were a special that day. The swordfish dish was wonderful. Also had the scallops and the short ribs. It was nice to see the others around us enjoying their meal. It made for an enjoyable evening. A bit pricey but it still delivers a good value.
This was a home run as stated by our 4 guests. Every item was the best, including the trial items delivered gratis for us to try. Very attentive service.
Glazed duck, Brussels sprouts, hamburger, and shrimp all tasted delicious. Michael really helped guide us through the menu and was the best part of the experience. We were impressed with everything and also liked how casual the space is.
Excellent vale. Menu was creative with excellent presentation.
Best food I have had since moving to Baltimore! Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavors were robust but not overwhelming. Try anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed. I also really liked the positive atmosphere and the historic building. Keep up the good work! I cannot wait to go back!
The customer service at fork and wrench was excellent! I requested a pink birthday cupcake on open table when i made the reservation & they actually called me a day before and said they did not have a pink cupcake but that they would figure something out for me. I have never been to the restaurant so I felt that was so awesome of them to call me to make sure they could accommodate my request with something different. When I told My date what they had done she almost teared up lol! Oh yeah The beef tartare is must try!
We shared 3 appetizers and loved all of it. Casual quiet restaurant.
The squash risotto needs to come off the menu, or revisited and improved. It wasn’t impressive. I ordered it for my birthday and ended up eating off everyone else’s plate instead. Everything else was good.
Really enjoyed, this was the second or third time I’ve been, and it didn’t fail.
Very unique dishes. Servers were very informative and helpful to pair the right drinks with the right foods.
This is my second time at Fork and Wrench so I knew the food would be good. All my selections were delicious, the waiter attentive, plus he made a creative non-alcoholic drink for each of us, both different. I have no doubt the same creativity is used to make cocktails. I would recommend this restaurant as a comfortable place to eat well-prepared food.
Used to be regulars here but moved out of town a few years ago and just came back to Fork and Wrench for a weeknight dinner. The new chef is killing it - every dish was spot on, and the cocktails were delicious. We had great beef tartare, shrimp and grits that left us fighting over the last shrimp, a burata beet salad, and a fish special with gnocchi - loved all of it. Wish we still lived next door to enjoy the food.
