   Our server was fantastic! Super attentive and efficient. The food was average. The stroganoff was tasty, but the presentation was lacking. The Caesar salad smelled and tasted like cigarettes. I assumed it was simply a smoky flavor, but it backfired. The lettuce in said salad was wilted and soggy. The ambiance is charming. The artwork depicting various Louisville landmarks is enchanting.

   Everyone that we met on the staff was wonderful. The Hostess, Nellie, was exceptional. She was accommodating, informative, and a lot of fun to interact with. The food and bourbon selection was outstanding. We will be back!

   It was nice to have dinner at Fork and Barrel again. We have missed the meals prepared by the Chefs. Enjoyed talking with Chef Geoffrey when he visited our table. Celeb took care of serving our table for the evening and making sure we were taken care of well. Can’t wait to return.

   Lovely meal! The menu (especially the lamb special) was excellent. Also, one of best cheeseburgers in Louisville. Jerry was our server - and took perfect care of us.

    Service was a little different this time. Owed was not present and it showed. Would not take our gift card because Internet was down. This was bad because we didn’t except to spend the extra money.

    We started with a cocktail each, and then decided to go with the brisket queso over the wontons. The queso was just ok. For the price, and being called brisket queso, we expected a little more brisket, but it was delicious. My fiancée ordered the filet and it was PERFECT! I had the best shrimp and grits I think I’ve ever had. The Andouille sausage and the country ham added so much to the flavors, and there was a surprise of lightly fried asparagus that put this dish past any shrimp and grits I’ve had before. I washed that down with one I f the seasonal cocktails, the “100 Bees”, which was so well done, it was almost dessert-like. Then we finished off with the brownie. It was all so good. We will definitely be back!!!

    I was expecting a more intimate setting for the menu they had online. We were seated in a booth across from the bar. Staff were friendly but had no one that could make recommendations on wine selection- and many were close or over $100 a bottle! And only sold by the bottle. Only a few had options for by the glass and again no one could speak to any of the flavor profiles or make suggestions. Food wise - wonton appetizers were over cooked and a bit rubbery, like bar food. And I’m fairly confident I was served instant masked potatoes based on the consistency with beef filet on top. And my dinner was $54a plate. Thankfully the filet was cooked perfectly in my opinion!

    I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant but was kind of disappointed. Drinks were good but $18 a drink, I was shocked. Unless it was rang up incorrectly. Taste was good but my dish was burnt. $34 for two chicken tenders and a waffle and was burnt. For that price you would think quality control would be better. I am not a stickler on price but it should be quality checked. Other than that it was good.

    Wow! I never leave a bad review but the chicken and waffles and fish and chips were so bad they warrant comment. My chicken and waffles were over cooked and tasteless. My husband’s fish and chips were also tasteless. Friends who had the beef stroganoff were underwhelmed. The salmon entree was delicious. Service particularly for a 22% tip was subpar. Our server seemed to be overwhelmed and they were short staffed. Do not recommend.

    Don’t love the new location, but more than that, our food quality was so poor. The brisket queso was cold and stringy, and didn’t come with many chips. When we asked for more chips, we were told that it would be an up charge. The meat in the stroganoff was too tough to eat, and the filet couldn’t be cut into. We told our server. She said she told chef, but we never heard another word about offering to make it right in any way. Expect more for a $296 dinner!

    The 6 of us dined at Fork & Barrel to celebrate my husband's birthday. I wish I could give the restaurant 5 stars, but I can't. The food was absolutely delicious, though. Among the dishes ordered at the table were the filet, salmon, shrimp & grits, smash burger, and the pork chop. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Unfortunately, the room we were seated - long and narrow - in had 3 large parties (besides our 6). The acoustics were nothing less than awful, so the louder people talked, the louder people talked. My throat was scratchy by the time we left from basically yelling to be heard by the others at our table. The waitress made a drink error after delivering our dinner and took at least 15 minutes to bring the correct beer - although there were plenty of staff members hanging out in the room. Perhaps the automatic 22% tip added to our bill lessened her enthusiasm to provide the drink while a guest ate his burger. We saw a second dining room with guests seated having dinner as we left. This room was so much quieter than ours! If ever we return, we'll keep this in mind.

    The food was magnificent - chicken livers for my husband and the best salmon dish I have ever had. We super enjoyed the salads and wine too! And our server Brittany is the best. I’ve been waited on by her for brunch at Morning Form too. Very helpful and attentive.

    We had two vegetarian people and you were out of the vegetarian ravioli, so they ordered the ratatouille special. The sauce tasted like they had just opened a can of tomato sauce and poured it over the veggies. Very tasteless. Had another friends order the venison meatballs and again the sauce was tasteless just like the ratatouille, and her meal was cold. Everyone else’s food was good but not delicious, overpriced for the quality.

    Outstanding! Chef/owner Geoffrey was an amazing host and made himself available during visits to the dining room. Upon request, he even explained his favorite ways to pair items on the charcuterie board. Will certainly return soon!

    It was our first time. We was not disappointed. My husband and I like to venture out to new places to eat. It was worth the eighty minute drive. The stroganoff and corn fritters are the best I ever ate. We will return and put Fork & Barrel on our favorite list. Service and atmosphere are perfect 🥰.

    Two couples celebrating New Year's Eve with drinks and dinner. Everyone truly enjoyed the food and service was excellent until 8 PM crowd showed up, then it was hard to get our server's attention for dessert menu - which this crowd definitely wanted. Since it was a special evening, don't hold staffing against the restaurant! Go and enjoy!

    Dinner and drinks were excellent! We went to an early dinner on NYE so we had several opportunities to talk casually with the Chef. It was enjoyable from appetizers (Pork Belly) to dessert (Cheesecake) and everything in between. We will definitely be back for dinner again.
