Great service and delicious food; we ordered the Brussels sprouts salad and a cup of chili. Both were very flavorful, however I did wish the chili had more beans in it
Really nice time, service was a little slow. Specifically closing out our bar tab before moving to the table. Waitress was really nice i think everyone had a great time.
The food was excellent. Seared octopus was cooked perfectly and fresh. Burger looked very nice. The duck breast was also perfectly cooked with nice crisp skin and tender, juicy meat. The quinoa on which it was served was very good. I would have preferred more greens in the quinoa vs the root vegetables. Wine prices are very decent. None of us had desert. Atmosphere is comfortable, conducive to discussions at the table. We will go back.
The food was flavorful and filling but not hot. It was good comfort food. The tables are very close together and felt crammed together so that as the evening progressed it became very loud.
The food was very interesting and well prepared. Our server was Mikala and she was extremely helpful in our selections.
Great food and services was amazing
This was our first time here, we just moved to Louisville, and we loved it!! We will definitely be coming back. Very cute space for a date. Great service and very good food!
Poor quality. No flavor. Overpriced. Had to send food back.
Great Sunday Brunch. Killer cinnamon roll.
Stumbled upon this gem while visiting Louisville. Great brunch! Both food and service were excellent.
Our favorite place for brunch! Will always come back to have the F&B sandwich and biscuits and gravy. Hoping to stop by for dinner soon!
The food is a overpriced. The bar is stingy on the wine pours and cocktails seem watered down.
Burger was good. Frites were just okay. Pork shank was very moist but really needed seasoning. Bland comes to mind overall.
Our first visit a few months ago, we thought it was really good. Something has changed.
Staff is friendly and attentive.
The food was excellent, our waitress was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. We can’t wait to dine here again
Great experience after a day of bourbon tasting. Great food, service and bar.
Delicious, as always! This was our first time having brunch here as we normally go for dinner. The chicken and waffles (lemon poppy seed) were so good I talked about them all day. My sister and brother in law had the breakfast burrito and both enjoyed it very much. We can’t wait to go back for brunch! Thanks again for another great meal, Fork & Barrel!!!
Had a daughters night. Between us we had the fried green tomatoes, the dip for starters. Then shared the house and wedge salad. Entrees were the short rib ( special) and the filet. Brownie ant tiramisu to finish it off. All the food was excellent, will go again and take the hubby!
brussel sprout salad very good, chicken also very good. Hamburger not very warm, and the french fries were limp and cool not good.
Grossly over priced! Food was good, but not special. Wine mark up is outrageous: $10 for a glass of 7 Deadly Zins, a bottle of which can be purchased for $10.97.
Amazing place! Such creative food! I'd recommend this restaurant....hands down!
Wonderful place! Great atmosphere and service. Libby was a great server and she was very knowledgeable of the menu. The chef came out to greet us and give us recommendations for things to do in town since we were visiting. This place is a must-go! Great food. Great service. Great people.
This was our second time at this restaurant and the experience was even worse than the first. It took forever to even receive water in our glasses and then even longer for our server to take our order. Our food was served about 15-20 minutes before our drinks were. The server never came back to check on us about how our meal was. I had to get up and get my own straw. I asked for pepper, never got it. The food was hardly warm and my mother’s eggs were cold as soon as the plate was put down in front of her. The restaurant wasn’t even full and there was staff everywhere so “understaffed and too busy” cannot be an excuse. I also had to get up and ask for boxes for the rest of my meal and our check so we could leave. The server was rude about it. She did bring us a dessert on the house. Because she wanted a tip I guess. Doesn’t make up for the hateful attitude and poor service. We tried to give this place another chance but will never be back or recommend to anyone. Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to in Louisville. You can get better service at a McDonald’s and at least the food is actually warm. Pitiful.
This reservation was during their Harry Potter Weekend and we were thoroughly entranced! The decor was spot on and they even had custom menus printed for the theme. The food was beautiful in its presentation and delectable in taste. The staff was friendly and prompt. Had a great time and can definitely see ourselves going back...theme weekend or not!
We loved the Harry Potter brunch! Everything was festive and fun. The food was delicious!
Great food with outstanding service
Go! You will not be sorry. My best friend and I were in town for a conference and were thrilled with the Caymus (excellent wine) special of the night along with the salmon dinner and pork tenderloin special. Food was cooked to perfection. Lovely place to talk over a great meal and great wine.
The food was good, service was not up to the level of the food. Our server was inattentive and and after we ordered our entrees we were given another server. Dessert wasn’t offered until after we received our checks?
Fantastic food and very friendly staff.
Loved everything about the Harry PotterBrunch!!
The food was delicious. The Stroganoff was fantastic. The beef was tender and plenty of mushrooms in the savory sauce. Also, the noodles were perfect not to soft. The Wedge Salad was one of the best we had. The French Onion soup was also one of the best we have had. The Chief Chef also owner, came to our table and spoke to us about our meal. We enjoyed his visit. Our server Libby was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. She was very attentive to our table. 👌
Our food was a mixed bag,. Some good some so so. Service wasn't great. No one even asked if we wanted a second drink. Dessert was delish.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere fantastic! I realized after I left that I was charged for chocolate chips in my pancakes and there were not any. However, they were still delicious! I will definitely return. I want to try it for dinner!
Beautiful place and service was excellent. None of the food was hot, barely warm.
Great place always with fantastic menu and specials. Awesome chef / owner and great staff!
We had a wonderful meal.
The Chef was friendly and very informative!
This was my first time visiting Fork and Barrel so I wasn't sure what to expect. We were greeted by the head chef which was nice and the service staff was great. It was not busy on this Wednesday evening so it was a relaxed environment which was nice. We had the cauliflower appetizer which totally surprised me. It was very good. I had the charred caesar salad and my son had the scallops. The salad was very good, not the best I've ever had but I enjoyed it. My son's scallops were a little bland. The wine recommendation was spot on. Overall I gave it a "very good" rating and would definitely be willing to go back.
This is our new favorite restaurant. We’ve been to dinner and twice to brunch in 2 weeks time. The food is outstanding as is the service. Libby is wonderful!
terrific little neighborhood restaurant, food was very good and it was delivered to our table by the chef. He stuck around and talked to us for a bit and it felt as though he really loved what he was doing, cared about what we thought and genuinely wanted us to enjoy ourselves. I'd certainly go back.
Food was absolutely delicious, not one bite was left on either of our plates. Service was very good, Food brought to us by the chef himself. Will without a doubt be back again.
The staff was super friendly and the chef was very engaging. My only concern was some bad habits with the wait staff (moving table-to-table stacking dirty dishes in her arms). Otherwise, excellent and I'll be back soon.
Generous portion of the chicken livers, prepared perfectly. Wasn't a huge fan of the grilled romaine ceaser. The pork shank was outstanding.
We had an excellent dinner on Saturday night. The energy level in the restaurant was superb as were the pork cheeks my husband had (the special) and the scallops I had. Geoffrey (head chef and owner, I presume) is so personal, stopping by every table. He even sat with us for a while and discussed my diabetes. We will definitely be back!
