The food was some of the better food that I have had in Louisville. Definitely going to be eating here again. So delicious and good size portions.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Louisville area. The food Is excellent. The service is top notch and every employee ensures your dining experience is enjoyable. We really enjoy conversing with the chef!! He took a personal interest in our drink order as our favorite cocktail was no longer being served so he had the bartender personally make one!! Absolutely above and beyond!
We went to Fork and Table last Saturday night. Yes, we probably should have stayed home but thought we would go out and support a local restaurant and was taking every measure to ensure the safety and health of their patrons. We noticed lots of hand sanitizer being used, table, chairs, menus, everything in sight being wiped down after each use. We were sat a table that was more than 6 ft away from other patrons (not sure if that was on purpose or because it was early and not too crowded), we only came into contact with our server, Jillian (I think, I am terrible with names). She was amazing, very helpful, service was great, and the food was terrific!!! We can't wait to go back once all this craziness is over! We will probably go buy gift cards this coming week to use later.
The cocktails were perfect, I had an Old Fashion. Pork belly appetizer was delicious, the wedge salad was great and a little unique which made it even better, the short ribs were out of this world!!!! My husband had the stroganoff and said it was wonderful!
Can't wait to go back!
Attentive service, and every morsel was enjoyed! Our new favorite restaurant!
This was our first time at Fork & Barrel and it was one of the most pleasant experiences we have ever had. There were seven in our party (my Birthday brunch celebration). Our reservations were for 10:45 AM. We came in four cars and each of us easily found parking. I was most pleased that my elderly parents were able to park right at the front door and we were all seated immediately.
The ambiance of this restaurant is simply wonderful--very elegant without being stuffy. I loved the light fixtures and the wall decor as well as the lovely flatware. Every attention to detail has been attended to.
Our server was Fiona and she was perfect in every way and so bubbly. It made our time there even more special. Each of us ordered breakfast items and every single dish was more beautiful and delicious and AMPLE than the next. We had the breakfast burrito, vegetable scramble with potatoes and sausage on the side, pancakes with bacon, biscuits and gravy and the chicken and waffles. Every dish was delightful and beautifully plated.
We especially loved that the coffee is served in beautiful Press pots--so fresh and delicious! My 87 year old mother had a pot of tea and the pot was so neat that my daughter immediately got on Amazon to order one for herself!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. My husband and I will definitely be coming back for dinner. This would be a fantastic place to take out of town guests! We plan on it!
Thank you Fork & Barrel! We loved our visit!
It was our first time and we really enjoyed everything about the experience.
The food was excellent and of decent value. Service was unattentive.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my brother’s birthday. The service and food were great! Highly recommend!
We had a great evening. The food especially the shrimp and grits, was so very good. Chef Geoffrey came by our table to check on our dinner. How nice that the owner makes himself available to his guests. We think Fork and Barrel is a must for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.
great dinner and great experience. the waitress was a bit out of sorts.
My husband‘a chicken was under done. The appetizer cheese board was good. Brussel Sprouts salad was delicious. We were very disappointed on the table we were given. Almost on the doorway and we got tripped over when ever someone came and went.
All around wonderful experience!
Cardinal gentlemen was not good. Way to sweet.
food was excellent though
Spot on service. We have multi generations and everyone could find something on the menu to suit their preference. We went for brunch and everything came out at the correct temperature. We will go back for dinner.
This is one of the hidden jewels of the Louisville Culinary scene. Last time I had the Salmon which is served over white bean cassoulet and it was terrific. This time I got short ribs over saffron risotto. Equally tasty. My husband likes the chicken. Oh yea, my favorite night is Taco Tuesday. If you haven’t been there, make a reservation today!
Love the food here and environment
Drinks were amazing
Great place for a fun dinner date. Loved the size of the restaurant. The food and service were excellent!
We were so excited to eat at F&B. We were celebrating my husbands bday and the reservation we could make was/given was 1:30. When we arrived, the restaurant seemed to be closing for the day. Our meal was somewhat rushed. We were confused why this would happen with a reservation time? It was a little disappointing.
Stopped in for breakfast before heading back to Indiana. Our waitress was outstanding, very friendly and attentive. The breakfast sandwich is a must-have. The chicken sausage and poppy seed waffles were ok. Our friend loved the hash browns. Very cute place, the mimosa bar was really cool.
one of the owners brought my beer to me and was super nice, food was great, with nice atmosphere, no complaints here
Appetizer of roasted cauliflower was almost raw for some pieces. Otherwise flavor profile was good. Wedge salad and blue cheese could have used a sprinkle of salt. Both entrees of duo chicken and pork shank were excellent although carrots with pork shank were close to raw , as opposed to tender. Very enjoyable evening, just need more attention to vegetables
Great day after Valentines Day dinner before heading to the theatre. Service was great as was the food.
My husband and I ate here on Saturday night (day after Valentine's). Our food was delicious (he had Shrimp and Grits and I had the salmon). We also got the brownie for dessert and it was wonderful. Our waitress was great and we had a wonderful evening!
We never go out for Valentine’s Day, at least on the day itself, but this year we did—and we picked the right place. Fork and Barrel has a moderate fancy feel, and the wait staff was friendly. The menu fit the bill, and the fall-off-the-bone pork shank I ordered was out of this world. I was disappointed they didn’t have carrot cake bread pudding that night, making room for a special dessert, but it’s just something we’ll have to go back for!
Food was great - including appetizer, main courses, and dessert. The drinks were good too and the waitress was able to answer our questions about them. The service was good I never felt rushed or like I was waiting. The tables were super close together. We were basically dining with three other groups it felt.
Food was delicious, great service and the chef even opened our bottle of Prosecco...
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Fork and Barrel. Appetizer and dinner portions are moderate so you do not feel "stuffed" when you leave. We were there on a Wednesday evening so it was not very crowded. Service was great, personal and very informative. We will certainly be going again--for dinner and to try a brunch.
If you have not been here yet you MUST. Chef Geoff Heyde is amazing and the food is fantastic. Libby our server was very attentive and so very nice. The menu has great variety and everyone (all 8 of us) enjoyed it all.
Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Great place and our first experience here. I had the filet and my wife had the salmon. Both very well prepared, and were extremely good to eat. Look forward to sharing this place with my co-workers.
We had a great time. Great experience. We will be going back!
It was extremely loud. The lights kept dimming and lightning back and forth. The service was slow and the food was just ok.
Incredible food and ambience
Food was amazing! They took great care of us! Great place!
Met girlfriends here and we all loved it! Great find!
Have been here several times in the evening & it was great. Decided to try brunch. It was ok-not bad but not wanting to return. Had reservations-not busy. Tried to seat us directly at table behind some one else along wall-tables were too close together so we asked for a different one-no problem.
Server started out acting like didn’t want to be there or answer our questions but got better after delivery of our food. Disappointed no cinnamon rolls today. I had the chicken & waffles-chicken was tender but had no flavor! Waffle was like a waffle! Had to ask for syrup. We also had the breakfast burrito-after adding the salsa to burrito it was much better! It needed something to spice it up.
Loved the atmosphere and menu choices, shrimp and grits were amazing.
A very charming place. Broad array of entres with interesting decor. We had a part of four and were unamimous in our liking of this restaraunt. We will be back.
The food was wonderful but the atmosphere was so dark we couldn’t read our menus or see our food.
Excellent menu, food prepared perfectly, server did an outstanding job! Happy hour cocktails were excellent in taste and presentation and a great value!!
