   I was there with my daughter for our getaway. This place was rated 5 stars. I anticipated a wonderful evening. We were seated tucked away in the corner away from the ambience of the restaurant. Strike 1. Our waitress was wonderful and very nice. We wanted filet and was told that they rant out and on replacement was a strip steak. $60 for the filet and they charge $60 for a strip steak! Not the same cut of meat. we received our meal and it was awful! fatty, veins and tough to chew. we received 4 asparagus and paid for grains to go with it. When the meal was over and we had only eaten 1/3 of the steak our waitress asked why. I questioned the price and then it was brought to the managers attention. I would not recommend this restaurant ever! Such a disappointment. The experience and ambience was awful! The drinks were not of quality, the food was subpar! Forgotten Tonic needs to be forgotten!

   I can’t enough of this restaurant. Have been there 4 times this month and each time has fantastic. The service is friendly. The chef is amazing. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

   Our waitress was excellent. Only reason not a five is the food was brought out for our foursome at too long of an interval, two plates were brought out and I’d say close to 5 minutes on the other two. This was not our waitress’s fault. The food for all 4 was excellent. We will definitely come back.

   Varied menu, but we ate at 5pm and they “ran out”’of several menu items - the baked brie, the tempura tenpeh and even the forgotten tonic drink (waiter said the ram out of the batch). At least have your name sake drink available, especially this early in the night.

   Absolutely outstanding! My family was visiting me in Gainesville and we took a weekend trip to St Augustine. No other restaurant would have compared! Eden was the wait staff of our dreams! ❤️

    Empty tables inside. Was told server shortage not an issue. Only used outside tables. Food was eh. Drink menu was eh. Nothing to go back to. Now we know!

    It was a rainy Monday & our party of 4 were the only customers. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, and the food was outstanding! A seriously good fish sandwich, great appetizers & drinks. So impressed!

    My expectations of this experience were definitely too high - I should have gone with my gut that this restaurant would be too touristy and probably a let-down. Unfortunately, my gut was right. The drinks were fine (not as “crafty” as I thought they would be), but the food was just ok (and unjustifiably expensive). My redfish was way overcooked and uninspired, and service was mediocre. Just disappointing all around.

    we had a very nice dinner at FT. Liam was our waiter and he was excellent; pleasant, informative and attentive. we had half salads which were fresh and large. I ordered the teriyaki tempeh bowl with ancient grains and veggies. it was creative, very flavorful and presented nicely. hubby had the pork chop which he absolutely loved! we sat outdoors which was great. my only issue was that our entrees were brought out while we were still eating our salads. that is a huge pet peeve of mine and it should never happen. otherwise we were very pleased with our dinner. we will return. thanks.

    The Forgotten tonic was a fun and friendly restaurant with wonderful food. We order a lima bean hummus that had pesto and olives on it. It was served with veggies, but also order some bread to eat every bite of it. We then had the Shrimp and grit étouffée and the blacked catch of the day which was red snapper. We also order a side of the citrus slaw. Every thing was fresh and delicious. For drinks we ordered the Raising Cane and The Forgotten Tonic. The Forgotten tonic was a wonderful gin drink. I enjoyed Raising Cane which was on the sweeter side. Great restaurant and hope to go there again.

    Our waiter was fine. We felt like they were crushing grapes and kneading dough waiting for wine and bread…and they weren’t that busy. I don’t think any good restaurant should charge for bread…

    Great spot. Can get loud if there is a large group at the bar. Amazing service and drinks. Food was amazing. Shrimp and grits and a fried green tomato BLT. The grits were amazing and love that they offer a kid menus.

    There were 4 of us, all first timers. I made reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. The place was bustling and pretty loud but it had a great vibe. Our server was great and he made some great menu suggestions. We ordered drinks, apps, and entrees. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. There is quite an extensive drink menu and an interesting array of food items. We are locals and will definitely be back soon.

    We sat at the bar. The amaretto sour was the best ever! The bartender was very friendly and the staff was very friendly. We had the fried green tomatoes and the cajun egg rolls. Delicious! We would definitely go back!!!!

    Liam was our server, he was great. Otherwise this is an ok restaurant. I was a little put off by the credit card needed for reservations. If everyone else in the area did that I would understand, but they don’t. I’ve never had to do that with open table. They also charged a 3% service fee which goes to benefits for employees. I’m all for that, but I wish they would say that upfront instead of being blindsided on the check.

    Went for lunch on a Sunday, to 'scout out' potential venue for upcoming wedding rehearsal dinner. Service was excellent, food was great, and although a tad pricey, the service/ambiance makes up for it. Lil disappointed in lack of draft beer, but hey, cant have it all. And yes, we're pursuing a contract for our event. Our search is over!

    One of our new favorites. Took my wife to celebrate a birthday. Marlene, our server, was wonderful-very attentive. Drinks were delicious, apps were great. Always new items. My wife loves the mussels. I had shrimp & grits. The chef puts a special touch into every dish. The bourbon-bacon cheesecake was a hit. You can have bacon for dessert.

    Usually one of our favorite places, but not this night. I had the brie en croute. One of my favorites. It was horrible, not just bad. So over cooked that the cheese had bubbled out of the pastry and cooked to a cracker like thing that had to be broken off to eat. Seemed smaller than what I'm used to and that's probably a good thing. My date had the hash. It became saltier and saltier as she ate down through the mound of hash until it became inedible. The waiter we usually request, Liam, was just going off shift and came over to talk with us in his way out. He's never not given us great service. Tanner, out waiter last night made 4 appearances in almost 90 minutes; to take our drink order, to take our food order, after a LONG time to take a 2nd order for drinks and to bring the bill. I'll be mentioning this to the owner because I'm sure he's unaware. I'd recommended FT to a customer last week and they came back to tell me the mussels were inedible and they wouldn't return.

    In a very touristy town where a lot of the food and drinks lack creativity, Forgotten Tonic stands alone. The menu is tight, well thought and makes you want to re-read it more than once so you don’t miss something. I recommend repeat visits!
