Everything was perfect! The food was amazing. I really like that this place takes reservations as many places in St. Augustine don’t.
Great experience. Small intimate with great cocktails.
Overall a great experience. The only down item was that there were multiple tables that were empty, but they still couldn’t sit us early. It was no big deal, we sat at the bar, had drinks and appetizers, but thought it was strange that there were so many empty tables, but they wouldn’t seat us early. Otherwise the food was great, the drinks were great and the ambiance was great.
We went for happy hour cocktails and appetizers. Cocktail menu was limited but we enjoyed our drinks we chose. We ordered 4 appetizers and lived the meatballs , fries and asparagus. The Cajun egg rolls were flavorless and bland. We were seated at the window and enjoyed people watching . We were somewhat disappointed about the outdoor seating , it was on the street, it was a beautiful day, However I didn’t want to eat on the sidewalk so we went inside . We would have liked to be enjoying the beautiful weather with our cocktails but it didn’t ruin our evening . The atmosphere was low key and upscale . Service was outstanding , our waiter was very attentive . Overall we would return, it was a positive experience.
If you are heading there for drinks and atmosphere...spot on. They have a huge drink menu. I can’t imagine you’d be disappointed. Service was good. Now, if food is what you desire, move on. From appetizers to main courses our party of four was very dissatisfied with nearly everything. Overall it’s not worth the money for dinner and the food menu is rather limited. .
Food was delicious! We had the meatballs and the Cajun egg rolls for appetizers - both were outstanding and very fresh. My hubs and had the steak which he loved, I had the pasta primavera with blackened shrimp. It was delicious - incredibly decadent and rich. The drinks were very good. I had the Raising Cane which was so yummy but not very strong, literally my only complaint about our experience. Strongly recommend and would return!
Make sure you leave room for the warm butter cake... delicious. Great happy hour and get the meatballs....
Skip the bruschetta ---
The chef’s food was spectacular, couldn’t have asked for a better meal!!! Cooked to perfection
Very accommodating late night dining.
Loved!!!! Would recommend for anyone for a nicer night out.
The baked brie appetizer was delicious. Our entrees (scallops for me, a burger for my husband) were OK. The scallops could have used some kind of creamy sauce to take them up a level, but they were cooked well. The dessert (chocolate lava cake) was terrible. I rarely have a dessert that I don't like, but the taste was off and it had a gritty texture.
The food and cocktails were excellent and the service was fantastic! The prices were very fair. I didn't feel like I had to break my wallet for a quality meal and cocktails.
The environment has an upbeat-cozy vibe. I would go again!
Birthday celebration!
Ate outside. Food good but will not remember it except for baked Brie with tiny slivers of Orange that really made it stand out.
Absolutely fantastic experience. There were a few large parties and it was a small building so was a little loud, could barely hear my partner, but overall a wonderful time. We will be back 100%! Side note.. I absolutely despise asparagus and the way they cooked theirs... I ate it ALL!
Excellent service from Josh and great food! Wonderful dining experience!
Josh is a wonderful server and probably the most knowledgeable employee. He was professional, courteous, attentive, and friendly. The hand-crafted cocktails were delicious. The crab cakes were perfect and Josh recommended the blackened Cobia. Again it was the best choice and cooked to my request.
Food was ok, nothing out of this world. We really enjoyed the cocktails.
Sydney was the best waitress. So kind and attentive to our dining needs .
Best meal we had in St Augustine.
Food and service was beyond our expectations!! We absolutely enjoyed everything from start to finish. Server was funny, professional and attentive. An absolute must while in St Augustine.
The cocktails were excellent!
The food was great. Was a little pricey, but will go back for sure.
This is our favorite place to eat & mostly drink. We took our friends visiting from Ohio but the service was so bad. We ordered apps and the 3rd one came later. The 4 adults ordered but only 3 orders came out. Pretty disappointed that management didn’t stop by.
Brie cheese and fruit plate is amazing. Filet was tender and delicious. Never had a bad meal here. We will be back.
I ordered the Filet Mignon (Medium) and Hubby ordered the burger. My filet was delivered Luke warm medium rare and the vegetables was not cooked - Raw. Hubby bacon and fries were cool. The food must have sat awhile. We shared our concerns. Brittany the mgr in charge addressed our concerns. Hopefully things will improve
Different this time than the last 4-5. Maybe the chef changed? Or different person on duty tonight. In any case not nearly what we have come to expect.
Great! Need to get the fried green tomatoes! They are amazing
Our experience at Forgotten Tonic was a delight from beginning to end. From the moment we entered the door the service was amazing. The hostesses were polite and efficient. Our server was outstanding. One of the best that I had and I don’t take that lightly (I have many years in the industry and I eat out a lot). she was knowledgeable about the food and beverage menu and was quick to make suggestions after asking about our tastes. Even though we were there on a Saturday night, our food came out in a very timely order. We had appetizers and drinks before dinner and never felt rushed. We enjoyed it so much that we came back later in the evening for a nightcap. I strongly recommend this place for anybody who enjoys craft food and beverage.
The vibe was very laid back and comfortable. The lighting was romantic and nice. The food was pretty tasty but nothing spectacular. We got our appetizer after we got our entrees but they didn’t charge us for it. The alcoholic drinks were delicious. Definitely a trendy, ambient restaurant. Worth trying out.
The service, food, cocktails were simply amazing! What a neighborhood gem. We were in St. Augustine for a quick weekend getaway. The staff were very gracious. The menu is small and tasty. Cocktails and bar staff wonderful!
I had shrimp and grits and my wife had the burger, both amazing!
Bailey our server was THE BEST!
My boyfriend and I were randomly exploring St. Augustine and we’re lucky to find last minute reservation. Down a side street and definitely wouldn’t have found it otherwise! Great find.
Jackson served us and was a delight. The food was delish. Shrimp and grits although a bit spicy was yummy. The flatbread was also very good.
We had such a lovely lunch at Forgotten Tonic. The soup was simply marvelous and garnished with beautiful fragrant culinary oil. The blackened shrimp was delicious. This was all brought together because we had a top notch server, Josh. The only downside is that the drinks were far too expensive.
Amazing food and service no complaints
A great little place to have dinner. Drinks and food were fantastic. They make their own ginger beer which was the best I have ever had.
We had a great time at Forgotten Tonic last night. Great service, drinks and food!
I love this little hidden gem on the lovely Aviles Street
Excellent service that doesn’t rush you with incredibly good food
