Excellent! We are SO glad we came here. The cocktail situation is on point! Man oh man do they do a great job with their cocktail menu. This is SERIOUS cocktail-ing! But the food was also wonderful. Everything we had was just plain yummy. My shredded duck/pasta was incredibly flavorful. The meat was to die for and juicy. Pasta cooked perfectly. My caesar salad was also very good with excellent, made from scratch dressing. On a ceasar, the dressing is everything and this one was perfect. Our fried artichoke heart/spinach dip app with crostinis was unique and excellent. My husband wanted to eat side dishes for his meal. He thought the broccolini was cooked perfectly and very tasty. And he also really liked the fried rice. We had the dessert special, which was strawberry shortcake with a homemade biscuit that may have been the best biscuit I’ve ever had. It also had thin layer of lemon curd and thick whipped cream with the local strawberries. Service was great, ambiance was lovely. Interesting (in a good way) music. Historic setting. Definitely one of the best meals you can get in St Aug.

Liz, wow—thank you for such an incredible review! You really captured what we aim for: serious cocktail-ing, delicious food, and a vibe that feels both fun and special. We're thrilled you and your husband enjoyed everything from the duck pasta and that unforgettable strawberry shortcake (that biscuit is a hidden gem, right?). Huge thanks for noticing the little touches. Can’t wait to welcome you and your guests back to Aviles St for another standout night!

We were sat upon arrival for our reservation. The leather bound EXTENSIVE meno was a nice touch. Ethan, our waiter, was jovial, attentive, but not hovering. We took our time ordered drinks (Raising Cane was a fun, different flavor!). The meatballs were unique and "exotic" spices as claimed in the menu. The tuna tartar had a little bit of kick with flavoring, but the highlight was the grilled toast. We shared a small tossed salad which was just the right amount after two apps. Our mains were Duck Pappardelle (special) and pasta al vodka with chicken thighs. Both were outstanding, with nice portions size. As we were leaving my husband gave his best review "We need to come back here, there are several other things I'd like to try!" A nice after dinner walk back to our car, parked on the river. (Give yourself plenty of time to get parked and walk, as there is no direct parking on these beautiful old brick streets.)

Christie, we absolutely loved reading this—thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review! It sounds like you and your guests truly embraced the full Forgotten Tonic experience, from Ethan’s warm hospitality to that stroll down historic Aviles St. afterward. We’re so glad the Raising Cane and tuna tartare hit the mark—especially that duck pappardelle special! We can't wait to have you back to explore more of the menu. Your husband’s comment is the best kind of compliment!

We had an amazing night of drinks (Sangria and Pain Killers were yummy) and dinner in a lively but not too loud atmosphere. Dinner was Bruschetta, on deliciously soft cheesy French bread, Mussels, and Shrimp & Grits. All tasted amazing and the S&G were the best we’ve ever had! Allison was our waitress and she was very attentive and professional. She spoke to us a few minutes to tell us about St Augustine and answer our questions. We will be back when we are in town again and will recommend FT to all our friends! Thank you!
