    The Forge was very nice. Good atmosphere and music. The food was good but a bit expensive. A hamburger was 17.00. Overall, it was a nice place for dinner and jazz.

    The food was amazing! Our waiter was above and beyond. The place wasn’t near as busy for dinner as they are for their amazing breakfast. But, 10/10 will be back!

    The food was cold once I arrived and not many options to choose from as I expected and experienced before visiting the Chattanoogan brunch last year I was kinda disappointed but the customer service was good

    I enjoyed dining at Forge Restaurant inside The Chattanoogan Hotel for Mother’s Day 2023 as in past however the Easter Brunch Buffet offers more variety of foods (i.e. plentiful salad bar choices such as tossed green Salad w/ dressings besides another type salad, baked seasoned ham, wonderful soup as in past Easter Brunch, maybe these types foods at Thanksgiving Day Buffet if not Christmas Day Brunch; additional veggies and entrees instead of typical Sunday Brunch options). Very good Mimosas and friendly accommodating service staff.

    Tried the Mother’s Day Brunch. The service was good and there was a wide variety of food to select from. However all of the food we tried was cold. I wouldn’t recommend a brunch buffet.

    The food was not good, this included the “pork belly” which was a huge chunk of undercooked fat from a shoulder or other pork part. Desserts were not tasty, all in all not a good meal, especially for the price.

    Parking was an additional cost of $18.00 + tip = $23. This issue should have been noted in the reservation. $18.00 cost a bit much. Food was absolutely horrible and not worth the $55.00 / person. And finally, it appears that the staff was understaffed and had to wait 15 minutes before drink requests were offerred. And then I had to run down a staff person. This holiday brunch / buffet in years past used to be wonderful and outstanding event. I will never go back to the Forge.

    Our reservation was at 2:15 pm (not by choice) it appeared they were winding down for the day as some of the food items were needed. The food was not that great, very skimpy salad bar, no salmon & certainly overpriced. Very disappointing!

    I loved the setting and buffet for Easter. I thought overall was a great experience. Food was great, desserts were great as well. Service was just ok, but overall great experience. I'm excited about their brunch that they are going to be starting monthly.

    The Easter buffet was well managed. The assortment of breakfast/brunch/lunch foods was plentiful. It was all tasty but above all of that the staff from check-in to server- to buffet staff was amazing and attentive. Highly recommend!!

    I have dined at The Forge Restaurant for special occasions such as Thanksgiving Day, Easter, and Mother’s Day. This year’s (2023) Easter Brunch was just as good yet expected somewhat better variety and/or presentation of hot foods (better Mac & Cheese besides penne pasta with creamy white cheese sauce), another meat besides turkey, brisket (additional pot roast) though loved Easter ham, pork sausage links, didn’t try bacon because not fully browned/crispy/well done, even burnt slightly as not thoroughly cooked (not appetizing enough); improved cheeses assortment with crackers (a few soft cheeses, spreads as in past buffet, though offered cheddar cubes), good crackers assortment though not as crispy, fresh tasting (maybe out on buffet too soon), expected better desserts variety though good chocolate chip cookies, (recall 1-2 wonderful specialty chocolate tarts last year or so maybe on Mother’s Day Brunch as can’t recall which holiday).

    The service was great, the food was pretty good, but the pricing was ridiculous. $50/person for a breakfast (minimal lunch options) is outrageous. It was only 2 other parties in the restaurant besides ours; now we understand why. It is waaaay too overpriced.

    Dinner tasted fine. Got the NY strip steak and was underwhelmed by how different it looked compared to their instagram. Picture’s definitely were embellished compared to the dish I received. Disappointed because it was not worth the price.

    First time at the expanded Forge Restaurant that filled the space of the former Broad Street Grill in the Chattanooga Hotel. In short, the food is excellent. Creative original recipes, tasty and well-presented. Service: mediocre. Our server was pleasant and attentive. It's not all her fault. They give you a fork and knife but no spoon wrapped in a napkin, which is not a problem until you order coffee with your ice cream or mousse after dinner. Rather than eat ice cream and stir coffee with a fork we asked for a spoon. Kitchen server (not our personal server) reached across one of us to serve the other. No necessary, and tacky. Our server set our check on the far corner of the table rather than next to one of us. Common sense? Anyway, service is suffering almost everywhere, not just at Forge. But as I said, the food was superb!

    Reservations were made and I received a confirmation. When I got to the restaurant I had no reservations no reservations!!!!!!!! it was my birthday I had friends with me but we had no reservations they had nothing on their records with this company. So embarrassed!!!!!!! Absolutely miserable am I reservations were not made correctly

    We checked the menu before booking a table. There was no information at all that there would be a limited menu, that the kitchen was under construction. Our bison filets were completely overcooked. The french fries were hard as rocks and inedible. Additionally, the hotel allowed dozens of children to run amok in the lobby and throughout the restaurant. It was very hard to visit in the restaurant, not to mention traverse the lobby, with screaming, tumbling children. One boy almost hit my elderly mother with a ball on a bungee string. We were absolutely appalled that the hotel would not address the parents allowing their children to do this.

    I wish we had been informed when we made our reservation that there was remodeling going on and that they were on a VERY limited menu. When we arrived to find this out the staff was amazing and even spoke to the chef to see if they could throw together some fish and veggies for my husband since he doesn’t eat meat and the limited menu did not include a fish dish. His meal was outstanding though not worth what they charged us for it. I was super excited to have the Buffalo steak which was still on the limited menu. I was very disappointed. I asked for medium and got well done. It was tepid at best, drowned in a feta cheese topping that killed any flavor the steak had and the pomme frite it came with (fancy french fries) were cold, dry and inedible. I had great expectation when I booked but sadly the best thing I can say is the staff was fantastic!

    My wife and I had a reservation for 5pm this past Saturday for a date night (conedy show after). We were quickly greeted and seated. Great start. Got cocktails and ordered the Baked Brie. It was almost soupy when it came out, which means it was in the oven too long. When you bake brie, you want to leave at least a tiny bit of texture but this was…….ok. The brie and bread at least tasted good. For the main, we decided to split the $48 strip. My wife doesn’t like medium rare so we ordered medium. It came out almost raw in the center. The greens were so overly salted you couldn’t eat them. The sweet potato puree that cane with the dish was absolutely terrific. We told the waitress who saw how poorly the steak was cooked and she agreed and got the manager. Entree was comp’d. Manager was very nice about it. Here’s the thing, even if it had been cooked perfectly, the meat quality was not $48 and it was also very salty. This place is going through a renovation so it could have been an off night but they’re expensive and they sucked. They should have comp’d our entree and done something, anything above that to want us to come back. Comp the brie, offer a free cocktail, a gift card. Something. Anything. Nope. Not going back. Chattanooga has way too many quality options to waste our time there again.

    The food was amazing !!! The braised short rib was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I was dining alone and my server Erica was so warm and friendly. I hope she is my server again on my next visit. Deciding on a drink was the hardest part- they have an extensive wine list and bourbon selection! I decided to go for the bartender's choice drink and was so pleased with what they came up with. The bartender brought my drink to me and ask me if I liked it. He was also very charming. They have large dining room with beautiful round tables and a private dining room. I will be back with friends!! 5 stars!!

    Went with a group of 5 for the 4 course NYE dinner with wine paring. Courses were rushed, we had more than half of one course left before the next one would come out. Had to constantly ask for the wine parings. My first wine pairing was a glass of sparkling, of which I was already drinking. When I asked if I was getting my wine pairing, I was informed because it was a glass of what I already had (ordered prior to dinner) they were not going to bring it out even though I paid extra for the wine parings with dinner?!?! Everyone’s ribeye was cold and rare, not medium. Overall, felt rushed, service was poor, food was OK at best but not worth the expense. Probably won’t be back.

    The new years eve 4 courses was not as expected for the overall cost. They did not give us our first course. The risotto for the price was “pasty”with no flavor cabbage chunk was not edible. Luke warm steak, vegetables on the steak meal was lacking in quantity. Opera cake felt store bought and not like a true opera cake…the entire meal felt rushed. Wished we would have just ordered off the regular menu. This was way to expensive for the quality.

    We chose the Forge because it I s quiet and knew from past experience they would not be packed out. We wanted a quite NYE and wanted to take our time. After being seated it took 15 minutes for our waiter to speak to us and bring us water. We ordered drinks but he asked for the next courses as well. We got the 2nd course then the first then drinks and our main course together. They had us out of there in 45 minutes. We told the waiter we felt rushed and he made lots of excuses. The Manager comped our bar drinks but never graced our table. We have had mediocre service there before but we do not plan to risk it again. They had 3 servers 1/3 of table full and 5 support/food runners. So being under staffed is not an excuse this time!

    We were surprised by the quality and taste of our food! We had the charcuterie plate, apple and beet salad and short rib ravioli. It was all perfect, as well as the wine and waitress service.
