   The service was great, the food was pretty good, but the pricing was ridiculous. $50/person for a breakfast (minimal lunch options) is outrageous. It was only 2 other parties in the restaurant besides ours; now we understand why. It is waaaay too overpriced.

   Dinner tasted fine. Got the NY strip steak and was underwhelmed by how different it looked compared to their instagram. Picture’s definitely were embellished compared to the dish I received. Disappointed because it was not worth the price.

   First time at the expanded Forge Restaurant that filled the space of the former Broad Street Grill in the Chattanooga Hotel. In short, the food is excellent. Creative original recipes, tasty and well-presented. Service: mediocre. Our server was pleasant and attentive. It's not all her fault. They give you a fork and knife but no spoon wrapped in a napkin, which is not a problem until you order coffee with your ice cream or mousse after dinner. Rather than eat ice cream and stir coffee with a fork we asked for a spoon. Kitchen server (not our personal server) reached across one of us to serve the other. No necessary, and tacky. Our server set our check on the far corner of the table rather than next to one of us. Common sense? Anyway, service is suffering almost everywhere, not just at Forge. But as I said, the food was superb!

   Reservations were made and I received a confirmation. When I got to the restaurant I had no reservations no reservations!!!!!!!! it was my birthday I had friends with me but we had no reservations they had nothing on their records with this company. So embarrassed!!!!!!! Absolutely miserable am I reservations were not made correctly

    We checked the menu before booking a table. There was no information at all that there would be a limited menu, that the kitchen was under construction. Our bison filets were completely overcooked. The french fries were hard as rocks and inedible. Additionally, the hotel allowed dozens of children to run amok in the lobby and throughout the restaurant. It was very hard to visit in the restaurant, not to mention traverse the lobby, with screaming, tumbling children. One boy almost hit my elderly mother with a ball on a bungee string. We were absolutely appalled that the hotel would not address the parents allowing their children to do this.

    I wish we had been informed when we made our reservation that there was remodeling going on and that they were on a VERY limited menu. When we arrived to find this out the staff was amazing and even spoke to the chef to see if they could throw together some fish and veggies for my husband since he doesn’t eat meat and the limited menu did not include a fish dish. His meal was outstanding though not worth what they charged us for it. I was super excited to have the Buffalo steak which was still on the limited menu. I was very disappointed. I asked for medium and got well done. It was tepid at best, drowned in a feta cheese topping that killed any flavor the steak had and the pomme frite it came with (fancy french fries) were cold, dry and inedible. I had great expectation when I booked but sadly the best thing I can say is the staff was fantastic!

    My wife and I had a reservation for 5pm this past Saturday for a date night (conedy show after). We were quickly greeted and seated. Great start. Got cocktails and ordered the Baked Brie. It was almost soupy when it came out, which means it was in the oven too long. When you bake brie, you want to leave at least a tiny bit of texture but this was…….ok. The brie and bread at least tasted good. For the main, we decided to split the $48 strip. My wife doesn’t like medium rare so we ordered medium. It came out almost raw in the center. The greens were so overly salted you couldn’t eat them. The sweet potato puree that cane with the dish was absolutely terrific. We told the waitress who saw how poorly the steak was cooked and she agreed and got the manager. Entree was comp’d. Manager was very nice about it. Here’s the thing, even if it had been cooked perfectly, the meat quality was not $48 and it was also very salty. This place is going through a renovation so it could have been an off night but they’re expensive and they sucked. They should have comp’d our entree and done something, anything above that to want us to come back. Comp the brie, offer a free cocktail, a gift card. Something. Anything. Nope. Not going back. Chattanooga has way too many quality options to waste our time there again.

    The food was amazing !!! The braised short rib was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I was dining alone and my server Erica was so warm and friendly. I hope she is my server again on my next visit. Deciding on a drink was the hardest part- they have an extensive wine list and bourbon selection! I decided to go for the bartender's choice drink and was so pleased with what they came up with. The bartender brought my drink to me and ask me if I liked it. He was also very charming. They have large dining room with beautiful round tables and a private dining room. I will be back with friends!! 5 stars!!

    Went with a group of 5 for the 4 course NYE dinner with wine paring. Courses were rushed, we had more than half of one course left before the next one would come out. Had to constantly ask for the wine parings. My first wine pairing was a glass of sparkling, of which I was already drinking. When I asked if I was getting my wine pairing, I was informed because it was a glass of what I already had (ordered prior to dinner) they were not going to bring it out even though I paid extra for the wine parings with dinner?!?! Everyone’s ribeye was cold and rare, not medium. Overall, felt rushed, service was poor, food was OK at best but not worth the expense. Probably won’t be back.

    The new years eve 4 courses was not as expected for the overall cost. They did not give us our first course. The risotto for the price was “pasty”with no flavor cabbage chunk was not edible. Luke warm steak, vegetables on the steak meal was lacking in quantity. Opera cake felt store bought and not like a true opera cake…the entire meal felt rushed. Wished we would have just ordered off the regular menu. This was way to expensive for the quality.

    We chose the Forge because it I s quiet and knew from past experience they would not be packed out. We wanted a quite NYE and wanted to take our time. After being seated it took 15 minutes for our waiter to speak to us and bring us water. We ordered drinks but he asked for the next courses as well. We got the 2nd course then the first then drinks and our main course together. They had us out of there in 45 minutes. We told the waiter we felt rushed and he made lots of excuses. The Manager comped our bar drinks but never graced our table. We have had mediocre service there before but we do not plan to risk it again. They had 3 servers 1/3 of table full and 5 support/food runners. So being under staffed is not an excuse this time!

    We were surprised by the quality and taste of our food! We had the charcuterie plate, apple and beet salad and short rib ravioli. It was all perfect, as well as the wine and waitress service.

    Went for Thanksgiving with our adult kids, who were in town. The food tasted average. We were seated by the server station/kitchen area. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. If the price was $25-30 it would have been fine. However. $576 for 7 people (gratuity incl) was totally too much. If I would have known I would have booked Rodizio Grill instead.

    Thanksgiving (so no idea how normal dining is), but pretty mediocre for the price ($65 buffet). Would have expected lobster and crab legs for that price. Limited wine offering and very short pours- but still full price on top the $65. Highly recommend other dining options, try the other nice hotels- they will always offer a meal; our hotel offered a lovely full plate of food for $26! We ended up eating a second meal later that evening at our hotel, just to put a better experience in our memory bank. Anyway, for major holidays go somewhere else.

    food was atrocious - side dishes cold, and or empty. first courses - salads were disgusting, soup had no service bowls or spoons. carving station had fairly good turkey and sauce. second option was labeled turkey and was fact brisket, with no sauce. service spoons throughout were sticky, dirty, and one of the fell on the floor, no one picked it up. over all a horrific and overpriced experience that is clearly riding on the coat tales of the former chattanoogan hotel's reputation for the cities most revealed thanksgiving and easter buffet tradition . servicers were reasonable and polite utterly disappointed, will not return. thanks

    Ate at Forge Restaurant on Thanksgiving Day 2021 as well as this year (2022) for two other occasions, plus Thanksgiving Day and enjoyed it very much! Regret not getting dressing to accompany delicious moist turkey w/gravy and small tender brisket, grilled glazed carrots, green beans, small Gouda mashed potatoes, good Mac and Cheese; prior indulgences were butternut squash purée soup (very good), some mixed salad w/dressing, cheese, crackers; drank 1 Liter Water (courtesy at table), iced sweet tea w/lemon, iced water, 2-3 Mimosas! Didn’t have room to get dessert (should’ve taken home something, being mindful), left about 1/3 on plate as satisfied, rather full. Another enjoyable meal with mouthwatering foods at several buffet stations for a special occasion (or for a lunch or dinner treat which will do sometime) at Forge Restaurant as will definitely return and highly recommend.

    Thye turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy were among the best, if not THE best we have ever had anywhere. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only problem is that a few Thanksgiving traditional treats (such as cranberry sauce) were not served.

    We had breakfast two mornings at Forge. The first morning there was a shortage of staff and some of our breakfast items were cold or lukewarm. The second day was better, but we were one of two tables.

    Food was OK at best and really not worth the $100+ per person of the final tab not by a long shot. The service was downright terrible. Our appetizers arrived 5 min AFTER the main course. Drinks were too sweet. Main course (venison) was decent, salad was uninspiring, just all in all not worth it
