They ensured everything was perfect without being intrusive. 💰 Value for Money – Given the high-quality food and excellent service, the pricing felt very reasonable. A great balance of affordability and indulgence! 🏡 Ambience – The cozy yet stylish atmosphere made for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Lamb was cold, very fatty and a bit of a mess on the plate really. Hand made chips still had skin on , lazy chef cooking. So we're wedges really.

Delicious food in a cozy and comfortable environment. We shared a steak dinner and sides (approximating a Sunday roast meal) and everything was high quality and plenty of food for two. Definitely recommend.

Brunch was delicious in a relaxing, comfortable environment with good, pleasant, helpful and professional service. Really enjoyed it and will be heading back asap😃

Great first visit for party of six inc two teenagers. All loved the food the vibe and the service. Warm welcome and refreshing choice of gluten free options - we’ll definitely be back when next in York.

What a find. As we are only visiting for a few days, we feel extremely lucky to have booked Forest restaurant. Excellent food and brilliant value. Very good drinks selection also. The menu is varied but there is something for every taste. We had a great time and will definitely return when we are here again. We would also recommend this lovely restaurant to everyone. Thank you.
