Foreign Cinema is a one-of-a-kind, nationally acclaimed restaurant blending independent films with California-Mediterranean cuisine. Enjoy a stylish indoor dining room with a full bar and fireplace, or relax in our heated and covered outdoor courtyard where 35mm film screenings begin at dusk.

For those seeking a more intimate experience, our private dining options include the mezzanine, amate terrace, and gallery, thoughtfully curated by Modernism West. Our vibrant DJ/live music bar, Laszlo, serves craft cocktails, zero-proof options, a full dinner menu, and lively tunes to end your night.

We are currently accepting reservations for both the heated and covered outdoor patio and indoor dining up to 60 days in advance. Standard seating refers to indoor dining. For groups of 9 or more, please reach out to our private dining department at janine@foreigncinema.com for booking details.

    For Mother's Day Brunch, we are offering a celebratory 3 course prix fixe menu for $70 per adult & $35 per child (price does not include beverages, tax, or gratuity). There are multiple selections for appetizers, signature brunch main courses, and desserts with vegetarian and vegan options available. This is the only menu available, à la carte options are available at our bars only on a walk-in basis. We have a 48hr cancellation policy for Mother's Day Brunch, it is $30 per person if cancelled after 5pm on Friday May 9, 2025.

    I've eaten many wonderful dinners at Foreign Cinema, but this was our first family brunch, and it was heavenly! From the cocktails to the strawberry rhubarb 'pop tarts' to the eggs and omelettes, there was nothing we didn't love. We'd go back every weekend if we could!!

    Made reservations more than 2 months ahead of time to sit outside. Arrived and was told it would be another 30 minutes for an outside table. Ended up sitting inside. Ordered the pork chop which was served way under cooked - super pink inside. This isn’t a steak bro, under cooked pork is dangerous to eat. Wife and her friend ordered the 3 course meal that came with dessert which is fine, but instead of also offering my friend and I the dessert menu, the waiter just brought out 4 spoons - to share two of the tiniest desserts I’ve ever seen amongst 4 people

    I’ve enjoyed many lovely dinners here over the years, but this was my first brunch…and as per usual it was insanely wonderful!! From the coffees and pop tarts to the main courses and drinks, just WOW. Foreign Cinema remains my all time favorite spot in San Francisco, and makes me feel lucky I get to live here. ❤️

    I absolutely love foreign cinema! It is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. The service is incredible, the food is to die for, and the drinks are excellent. I can’t say enough good things about it! Cheers!
