The pasta itself is excellent. They claim it to be made fresh daily and is very tender and tasty. The sauce was overly salted, however. It can be noisy at times as it is located so that the bar is part of the restaurant. It is very convenient to the hotel and is totally acceptable.
Had never heard of this restaurant and booked it at the last minute. I was pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent, moderately priced. Would definitely go again
Took our mom here before the Genesis concert for her first time in Charlotte! The staff did an amazing job of overcoming being short staffed to deliver a great experience. The lasagna was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was comfortable and made it a delightful evening.
Overall the good was not good. For the price it's mediocre pizzeria dishes. Definitely over priced

Luca is a wizard at crafting truly unique flavor combinations. His award winning clams and sausage in the most delicious broth are phenomenal!! He makes his homemade pasta daily and it shows. He serves delicious Italian sauces and you feel like you are eating in a grandmother's house in Naples. His veal osso buco and branzino entrees are my favorites. Tiramisu is one of the best I have ever had, including those I've had in Italy. Go, you will not regret it!
Mediocre meal. The calamari appetizer resembled heavily breaded onion rings, but less flavor. This was a good predictor for the rest of our meal which was less than memorable.
The hostess was flustered from the moment we walked in the door. She greeted us with it's a 10-minute wait before we could even get a word out. It was obvious they were extremely short-handed as there were only two servers. I get it. Everyone is shorthanded, but it really diminished the dining experience. Everyone was so stressed out. The food was pretty good, but not sure we'll be back.

I booked after seeing the amazing reviews and was surprised that it's a part of a Holiday Inn. KEEP READING! Forchetta was seriously off the charts and I'm not impressed easily. The main man is Sam. Sam greeted us and took complete care of us all through the experience. By the end of the meal, I felt like we were old friends. Sam is the BEST!! My husband had the Prix Fixe and I ordered a pasta since I was saving myself for dessert. My husband's first course was the clams and they were amazing. He second course was a seafood pasta (fresh pasta! fresh seafood! so good!) When they brought that out, they brought me a salad (Caesar type with tomatoes and bacon) from the chef since he felt bad that only my husband was eating. What a yummy surprise. The mains were fabulous and the deserts were out of this world (get the chocolate cake!) Thank you Sam!
Enjoy a much needed date night! Had to wait a bit longer than expected for having a reservation (it was an hour after our resy), but the food was delicious and worth the wait

The food was delicious! From the very tasty bread, to the appetizer, and the entrees and dessert - it was all very good and our compliments to the chef - he hails from Naples, Italy and does a fantastic job. The service was great - very attentive and conversant waiter who catered to our every need. Exceptional dining!
First time there - tried it on a whim - will go back. Food was tremendous.

Our first evening in Charlotte on this trip. We booked a reservation for dinner at Forchetta which was located in our hotel. We were seated promptly at a table away from the bar which was fairly quiet as this was a big football weekend. The Duke’s Mayo Classic matchup featuring the Georgia Bulldawgs and the Clemson Tigers would be played on Saturday night. The menu listed a wide range of choices, most of which were of an Italian theme. The chef was recently a winner on the “Chopped “ TV series. I really like octopus, and one of the appetizers was grilled octopus with a peach and herb topping. The flavor was very good although the meat itself was rather tough. Could have used a sharper knife, but the portion was quite large. My entree choice was the broiled branzina with grilled veggies. Nice preparation, but needed a bit more seasoning for my taste. Janice chose the lasagna (a recommended specialty of the house) which was excellent. I can see staying with the Italian theme is a very good idea. Our server who was very attentive helped make for an enjoyable meal. We had lunch there the next day and tried a pasta with a sweet Italian sausage and Parmesan creme sauce that was really delicious. Would definitely consider dining again on our next trip to Charlotte.
The food is unbelievably good and the service is great! You can’t order anything wrong here. Chef Luca is the best and many will remember him from his restaurant Passion 8 in Elizabeth. Best in Charlotte!!
Beautiful restaurant, with slight open kitchen feature. Server was welcoming, informative and fun. Chef Luca created a unique and creative menu which was delicious. Charred octopus was incredible. Rabbit suco was amazing, the homemade pasta was great. Entrees of Branzino and Pork chop were wonderful! The wine & cocktails paired nicely as well. We can’t wait to be back the special events and to bring our friends and family.
Queens Feast was the perfect time to introduce our friends to forchetta!

I was not impressed by any of the plates served. Fair, but not good.
I noticed the portions were pretty small, I don't think it should be like that even if restaurants week.
The linguini I had were right off the boiling water, as well as the clams, no simmering in sauce was made.

Had seen the chef’s appearance on CHOPPED and was excited to finally get a chance to go. CLT restaurant week provided the perfect opportunity to do so. Food & Service were top notch and I can’t wait to go back.
We went for Restaurant Week and we’re very pleased with all the options available. We both loved what we had chosen. I had the most wonderful, charred octopus for an appetizer and will be back for that again. My husband had, as he called it, a ramped up caprese salad. He really enjoyed it. He had the squid ink pasta dish and was happy with the selection of shellfish in his dish. I had a meaty, succulent pork chop. Well prepared. Our server was highly skilled and knowledgeable. Desserts were delectable. Loved my citrusy olive oil cake and my husband enjoyed his chocolate cake. Neither was prepackaged or frozen. Delightful! The atmosphere was casual/business casual. It was our first time there and we will be back.
I visited for Queens Feast and really appreciated getting introduced to Forchetta. I look forward to returning for regular menu meals.
We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Forchetta during restaurant week. We were very happy with the quality of food. All three courses were excellently prepared, and service was top notch. Would highly recommend!

Food was great. Service was very slow. Our order was lost in the mix. Seemed like staff were overwhelmed. Under staffing by the looks of it but that seems more apparent at restaurants post covid now.
The portions for entree were small and very salty. Our watered didn't ask if I wanted something else even when I asked for a box for my pasta after eating two bites. I took it home, added pasta sauce, spinach, and hot curry powder so I could finish eating it. The olive oil cake was very dry. We will never eat here again. I was disappointed because I love Food Network and the chef here won Chopped. This meal was nowhere near Chopped standards. The octopus appetizer was very good.
Tried for Restaurant Week. Portion sizes were small "lunch sized". Pasta was excellent. However, shrimp was overcooked. Dessert with popcorn was strange and didn't like the texture together with the cake. Most importantly, we ordered mocktails and someone brought an alcoholic beverage to me. He did tell me that it had alcohol in it and if I didn't want it, he would drink it himself. However, my friend who is a recovering alcoholic was terrified that HER drink may have ALSO had alcohol in it and could not relax the rest of the night thinking it may have some in it that she could not taste.

We have been here in the past and loved our experiences. However this trip we felt the quality of the food significantly declined. Octopus was too tough, pork chop was very dry and not flavorful, desserts were dry.
Overall it was good however I felt portions were small for the price and some dishes lacked some flavor. Our server was wonderful and we went during restaurant week to try the prix fix menu. Starters were great and so was the dessert. Entrees lack a bit.
