Located in The Yard at Easton, we feature creative cuisine from Executive Chef Paul Yow and imaginative brews from Masterbrewer Nick Gabriel. Join us for one of Paul's signature dishes, The Duck & Dumplings, or perhaps a crowd favorite Strawberry Basil Hefewleizen, in our warm and open atmosphere.

    Treat dad like the king he is with a Prime Rib Dinner at Forbidden Root. Chef Paul's delicious, slow roasted prime rib served with cajun seasoned french fries and creamed spinach. Mouthwatering just thinking about it.

    The Groove is in The Yard features MojoFlo on June 19th, A reservation will reserve a patio table with a view of the stage for this fantastic and fun-filled music experience. There are only a few tables with restaurant seating with this full musical exposure. You can order off our menu and we only ask that you spend at least $100 on food and/or beverages per table. There are only 5 patio tables with a few available to reserve! A tab will be started before guests are seated. Automatic gratuity of 21% will be applied to nthe final bill.

    Food was good and interesting. My husband had to order chicken skins! brought home the left overs! Mary was an expert and attentive waitress. We will be back.

    Mother’s Day buffet was awful. Food was out way too long, was cold and hard and tasted off. Room temperature cheese, cold prime rib, luke warm eggs, tough uncuttable ham. $45 per adult and no drink included. Had to almost beg for a waitress after being seated for ten minutes even though there was hardly anyone there. I will not be going back.

    First time at the restaurant for Mothers Day. Food was simply not good. The chicken tenders were way over done as well as the carved ham. The mashed potatoes were dry. And for $50 per person there weren't many offerings. Unfortunately we won't be back

    Hi Lou. We post that a 3% credit card processing fee is added to the bill and it is clearly noted on the check before payment is accepted. The fee can be avoided by using cash or debit. Many companies have decided to go this route instead of raising prices across the board to give the customer an option to save money. This charge is becoming more and more common as small businesses try to compete and survive.

    Had a group of four and was seated promptly given water and place settings upon arrival to table, server Mary was wonderful and very pleasant, she knew all the dishes, drinks etc. The food was served in a timely manner and was very good. Mary took good care of us and will dine there again.

    Great restaurant. Food was remarkable! Service was prompt, polite and efficient. Ambiance was quite pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyable evening!
