At Forbes Mill Steakhouse we offer the finest cuisine, all natural Tajima Black Wagyu, and Prime Certified Angus Beef. Less than 1.5% of beef is elite enough to meet CAB brand prime standards. We offer 2 private rooms to accommodate any occasion. Our vasona room is completely private, and seats up to 38 guests. If you are looking for a relaxing/normal fine dining experience, don't go to Forbes Mill. The acoustics are terrible so when it's half full or there is 1 table of 12 obnoxious people that should really be at the Black Watch, it's hard to hear yourself think.

We went for Monday night steak and lobster special. Every thing about our evening exceeded our expectations. We started out with a happy hour drink, Connor our bartender was just the right kind of friendly, shared some small talk and then gave my husband and I some space. We checked back in with hostess and were seated immediately. Ben, our server greeted us and we chose our wine, then Ben brought the portobello, chard ravioli appetizer and bread. We loved the ravioli, next he brought us the house salad which we shared, also good. Then our filet and lobster. Filet and lobster melted in our mouths. The Monday dinner included chocolate lava cake with gelato. We were getting pretty full, so we asked Ben to bring gelato and pack lava cake. Ben was a wonderful, friendly attentive server. A good server really enhances the out to eat experience. Definitely, would request Ben.

Steak was worth it. Only order the sides if you really want them. We were dressed casual and it was okay but do consider what time of day and which day of the week it is. I would have felt more fitting with a nice blouse and my jeans rather than my tank top.

First time in that beautiful restaurant. Celebrating my girlfriend birthday. We love steak houses ( Fleming in Santa Clara in our favorite), but we decide something new. I booked FM.
As soon we entered the ambiance was perfect, great staff and lots of smiles. We followed the girl , but instead to go left in that beautiful main room, with lights and full of energy, she goes right, in a very dark, far away “ corridor “ kind of room. No one was seated there. I didn’t pay any attention, because Mark , our waiter was awesome. The food was superb. When was time to use the restroom, I walked thought the main room, that’s when I noticed , couples seated in booths or tables. I was very confused , and wandered why I was seated so far away. My girlfriend used the restroom too, and when she come back , had the same question for me , but I didn’t know what to say. She is a beautiful Philippine lady and I’m from Italy , and honestly I’m trying really hard not to thing that the reason we were seated there was racial motivated, because if not, then why ?

First time dining at Forbes Mill and we all loved it! We were having a small family get together (5 adults) to celebrate my husband's birthday. Food was great, prepared to our specifications. Service was excellent. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend!!

Forbes Mill Steakhouse has wonderful food and service in a traditional atmosphere. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the classic American restaurant.

Forbes Mill is, quite possibly, the BEST restaurant I've ever experienced. Parking was easy. The environment was pleasant. I especially appreciated the nice distance between the tables. The food was over-the-top delicious. Kenny, our server, was welcoming and professional. My wife and I are grateful to have had the opportunity to celebrate our 34th anniversary there. Fortunately, we had been given a $200 gift card. We spent that, and then some. I would like to say that I'd be back to Forbes Mill on a regular basis, but it's not in our budget. The target market is clearly those more wealthy than ourselves. Even so, our experience was overwhelmingly positive and we do look forward to an opportunity to enjoy Forbes Mill again some day.

Overall experience was excellent. Our waiter Ben was very attentive and took great care of us as we were celebrating our anniversary. The only issue I had was that it was unusually warm in the restaurant. They could have bumped up the AC. It was not a hot day so I can only imagine how much hotter it would have been if it was. Other than that, loved it!

Recently celebrated our anniversary here. The steaks are delicious, obviously. Our server Kenny has been with the restaurant since opening and we loved his hospitality. Will definitely recommend to any steak lover.

I was very disappointed. My husband and I had a rare night away from our children and decided to come here since it was near our hotel. We read the reviews and were anticipating a great meal. I ordered the lamb and he ordered the surf and turf. Neither one of us knew you could over cook lobster to the point of being rubbery, however, we found out it could be done. His filet was just average, I make much better filet mignons at home. The cream of spinach was bland. Honestly the au gratin potatoes were the star of his meal. My lamb had good flavor as did the polenta, but I found it hard to enjoy my meal when I knew he was not enjoying his. Our waiter went missing in action once our food arrived. When he returned, we were not ready to just leave and while he did notice my husband did not eat his meal and took it off the bill, unfortunately he wasn’t around to notice earlier to have a new lobster made. Overall I will not be back as my expectations were missed all over the board.

Fifty percent of my Forbes experiences have been amazing and 50% bad. Service is amazing so I cannot say anything bad about that, but our steak, while a great cut, had absolutely no flavor. It was something i could make at home. I go out for steak to get something I cannot achieve at home. I’ve had their filets before and they were delicious so they are capable of making an flavorful steak. We were very disappointed and honestly I think that was our last Forbes visit.

I would recommend, however the restaurant was not full and we were rushed to place our order, and food came out too fast. This make me feel as if each meal was not prepared individually, I did not care for the preparation of the sea bass, too many different flavors that didn't work well together

Great food and the server (Jeff) was really nice! Food came out in a timely manner but we weren't hurried to leave. The restaurant seemed to be family friendly, as there were a few family's dining at the restaurant. They comped our dessert, as we're celebrating my husband's birthday. We'll be definitely coming back from another occasion. Thanks Forbes for a great evening!

I like it except that its Fathers Day and they dont have a nice selection of red wine that my husband like, and my virgin mojito taste like pure syrup in a perrier, sooo sweet!!!! My husband will go back for the lamb chops but will bring his own bottle of red wine.

Old school joint with the dark dining areas and private rooms also. Reasonably priced. They were quite kind to us for our anneversay. Cajun ribeye and lobster were perfect.

Unfortunately, each time I return to Forbes Mill I'm a bit more disappointed. Very expensive for what you get. 3 of us were over $300 for no cocktails, 1 glass of wine, 1 prix fixe menu, 1 filet, 1 steak entree, and 1 shared baked potato, no dessert. Steak was delicious, but prawns were overcooked. The bread basket prevouisly held much better quality warm rolls. Service is so-so. The restaurant was also quite empty from 6:30 - 9:00 pm.

Best steak ever! Server (Jeff) and bar tenders (Nick and Zach) were awesome! Restaurant has a lively vibe, so it's not quiet, but we loved it. It's pricey, but quality is well worth the cost.

This was a last minute dinner decision for us. My husband and I brought our two sons here for nice dinner. The food was wonderful as well as the service. We really enjoyed our meal.

my only complaint was about my dinner. I ordered blackened swordfish and it wasn't blackened. It was simply grilled. The waiter then justified it saying that blackened means grilled..which of course it doesn't. I was surprised that the waiter would lie and not try to make my meal better.

I loved the presentation, quality and wine flight of the prix fixe, but in the future would just go for a steak. The salmon and pork loin was very good, but the steak was the obvious star. The soup of the day, a tomato bisque, was a bit of a disappointment as it was so creamy I got no tomato or vegetal flavors at all. Reservations are a must, and the bar is very atmospheric and worth stopping by a bit early for. Service is four star: attentive and comfortable. Next time: martini, no starter, steak and veg with wine, no desert.

We celebrated a bday dinner here with nine people. Most had steaks and we shared 5-6 sides. I had the Aged New York and was disappointed. Steak was cooked perfectly, medium-rare, but lacked a nice sear on the outside. It was also not as flavorful compared to Del Fresco’s or Ruth Chris.

Sides were all tasty, Brussels sprouts, string beans, mushrooms, and Mac and Cheese all were well seasoned and cooked perfectly (veggies had a nice snap where you expected it).

The two bottles of wine were fantastic.

Service was from Jamie and she was very good.

Horrible value-wine starts at $100. Just a rip off.

Atmosphere was great, clean and well appointed.

Go somewhere else.

Forbes Mill is, what I call, a traditional restaurant with great food and wonderful service. The staff makes you feel as though they take their jobs seriously and they truly want to provide service the customer will appreciate. I know that is why they are employed in that position, but they appear to take pride in a job well done, and their establishment. Add the great food and you cannot go wrong. That is what I call a traditional restaurant. Oh, yes, the little touches in the ladies restroom(hair pins, toothpicks, lotion, etc) is very much appreciated! Again, traditional.

Perfectly cooked steak and excellent service. Very pricey so this is definitely a special occasion type of place.
