The noise was outrageous -- you call that music? It got louder and louder as the evening progressed. My fish was over-salted, and the Sauvignon Blanc I ordered was lousy. I was HORRIBLY disappointed. This was a special occasion ruined.
Too noisy I think our server was high she was not engaged in telling us anything about the food
food was unique and delicious
there aren't many options in that area, and this is a great option
cool wine list with notations of what is organic and sulfate free
Very solid menu with each dish well prepared (we had monk fish, duck, filet mignon and "mushroom pastrami" as mains - all were good. Excellent drink, beer and wine menu to please all.
Unnecessarily rude maitre d got things off to a bad start
Wonderful restaurant where to eat tasteful food done with local ingredients staring at the Empire State Building. Everything perfect!
Excellent food with terrific vegetarian options. Service is attentive and the space is modern/airy. Have been a few times now and the quality of the food and wait staff is consistently lovely. The surrounding neighborhood is scenic and perfect for people watching while you enjoy your meal.
service was great! Foccacia and the ramps papparadelle were really tasty. The asparagus "fries" were ok and the sauce to accompany it was not very good. The mixed vegetable salad special for the day was really good.
We went on a recommendation from a friend. We ate brunch and had the waffle and pancakes and spit them. All the food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
Thought the starters were excellent but the pork main I had was overcooked, whilst the strip steak my wife had was a poorly balanced dish with greasy overcooked potatoes, too much meat, and not enough vegetables. Disappointing
The food was delicious. The more expensive the dish, the larger the portion. The mushroom “pastrami,” for example, was very tiny, whereas the $39 pork chop was an ample portion size. At first glance, the menu looked very limited for gluten free options, but when brought up to staff, they were very happy to accommodate and offer substitutions for most dishes.
The food is very good, but almost too expensive. I would come back again, but only a special occasion as the food costs are way too high.
Very good and tasty products cooked in a simple way but always with an original twist Full of surprise. Service was pro and very friendly. Relaxed atmosphere and great to be in a restaurant where you can talk to each other without shouting.
Three of us had the prix fixe menu, which was a good value when compared to the a la carte prices. We all enjoyed our meals, which had a nice presentation, were presented at a good pace, and the portions were sized nicely. We enjoyed a Picpoul de Pinet wine, which was crisp and moderately acidic. Desserts of ice cream/sorbet and coffee finished things off nicely.
The food is consistently excellent - wonderful ingredients and superb preparation. The service is excellent as well. The wait staff is well informed and always warm and friendly. Great food in a warm and informal setting is my absolute favorite!
What a lovely neighborhood joint. First time there with my friend and we loved everything we ordered (for brunch). Great flavors, good portion sizes, and the cocktails were delish! Definitely recommend and would come back.
Terrific place convenient to Atlantic Theater Co. A well priced priz fixe. Have been going for years and every time the food was superb. This time while still good just not as good. But service almost makes up for that! Ah, maybe the chef was having an off night. We will certainly return.
Waiter didn’t greet our table until our entire party arrived. Which means we couldn’t order a drink or appetizer while we waited. My order came out wrong, but thanks to the chef, when I finally got my mushroom “pastrami” w/ farro, it was delicious. The description on the menu was somewhat misleading (risotto?), but nonetheless an excellent dish.
We were sorely disappointed by the food: the aged rib eye and monkfish were adequately cooked but lacked depth of flavor. They tasted like my home cooking, haha. The chocolate torte tasted like red bean paste. Maybe it was old? We swapped this quickly for the selection of ice creams, which tasted artificial, even if, perhaps, they weren’t made with extracts. I was embarrassed by the meal because I had planned it as a special treat for my mom, coupled with an evening at the Joyce. I won’t be back.
It was too loud where i couldn’t hear my bf speaking and the staff was rude. The guy at the front desk was not friendly at all and the waitress was cutting us off before finishing our sentences and seemed rushed. The food was great, but nothing to rave about and the experience wasn’t great. The only friendly face was the guy who brought out our coffees.
A gem in the Chelsea area. The food is fresh and cooked creatively. You never feel rushed and the service is good.
The GF almond cardamon bread is outstanding. The bacon was a bit bland and they were out of iced matcha green tea. The host was a bit snooty but the server, runner and bus boy were terrific. We would definitely go back.
I was looking for a place that would be close to a concert I was going to that night. We really enjoyed our meal. The food was very tasty, well presented and farm fresh. Service was very good and it was not too loud, The food presentation was beautiful.
Mom came into the city for brunch. She loved Foragers. Joanne was a great waitress
The pistachio cardamom bread and waffles were awesome. Great coffee and ambiance.
Good place to meet friends for a weekend brunch.
Excellent food. Served in a comfortable setting. Farm to table offers fresh, clean, tasty food. I would give it 3 star rating. I and my two other friends were very impressed.
Great service. Excellent fresh food. Very enjoyable!!
This place is consistently outstanding!! Their food is fantastic, well-seasoned, and very fresh. The team is hospitable and charming. Their wine list is excellent (as is the store next door) and well paired with the beautiful seasonal dishes. Some favorites are their garden salad with olive 'dirt', which is magical, their deviled eggs, and their shakshuka (brunch). Those are all clear stand outs, but not sure I've had a bad bite at this restaurant.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Foragers. Server was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious
Wonderful experience, wonderful food plant to table
Very good quality food and a nice setting. Good for small get togethers but not ideal for groups larger than four or five. Restaurant is next to the grocery store so at times it can be a bit distracting. Service is great. Will definitely come back.
Food here is excellent. Prices will definitely be a factor for most as it is not cheap, but I have not found a menu this good executed this well in NYC for much less and I would definitely recommend Forager's Table for anyone looking for a special dining experience in Chelsea. I limit my red meat consumption and though I am tempted by their offerings in that category, there are always good vegetarian and poultry alternatives to keep me on track.
Always a go to in Chelsea for good food and conversation and they make good drinks
LOVE this place. Only rated a 4 star due to a 25 minute wait for Sunday brunch with a reservation. I'm giving them a break because it was the morning after daylight savings time & everyone was a little off.
Food delicious; service outstanding. Amazing market attached. Will def return.
Delicious food and great service will go back again.
Good food and value
Great ingredients and wonderfully prepared. You can get vegetarian as well as fish and meat. We have had great salads, appetizers and entrees, including burger (which we rarely order). it is at times crowded with a high noise level. Also service can sometimes be a little slow while wonderfully attentive. So plan accordingly.
Excellent food and excellent service!! Thank you for a great evening ❤️
The food was excellent I just wish there were more salad options. I was also disappointed that there was no Cabernet by the glass offered.
Our server forgot to tell us the specials as he seemed to get overwhelmed by the number of tables he had.
All that being said we will be back as they have great food.
