WE have been here many times; the food is always good. We had teh beet salad, teh rabbit stew, oysters, cornbread. Excellent. I decided to try the Frederick County Shiraz; interesting, but I wouldn't have it again. Pleasant atmosphere on a quiet Sunday evening.
We've been eating our way across Baltimore while my daughter attends college there. Too bad she graduates soon because Foraged is a fabulous find! Everything was very good & of course fresh. The mushroom stew is out of this world - a must try! Service very attentive.
Overall the food was good. The oysters were crisp and fresh. The mushroom stew was a bit pretentious. There was a poached egg and some ricotta cheese garnish that detracted from the flavors of the mushrooms. Sometimes simple is better, less is more. Service was fantastic, food was paced well over four courses. We loved the pork belly dish as well as the pork jowl. The experience was refreshing and truly is a gem among the Hampden eateries. I would eat there again.
Simply delicious farm to table menu. Well worth it! Service was great as well. Mixed grain risotto, oysters, homemade ricotta....everything we ordered was great.

We enjoyed our experience overall, with the caveat that despite having only two very small steps meaning that ADA compliance would be readily achievable at very low cost, there is no ramp, no portable ramp, no plans in place to make it accessible. Worse, greeting us at the door was a guy who replied that the restaurant "passed inspection" which means he knew absolutely nothing at all about legal requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act and scoffed at the notion that the place was somehow problematic. Our wheelchair user made it in, though at enhanced risk to herself (and liability to the restaurant if she had fallen). After we got beyond the totally undignified entrance into the restaurant, the table was nicely accessible and the food and service terrific. The pig cheek was incredibly delicious - everything we ordered we enjoyed. I hope they address the accessibility of the place and train their staff to accommodate customers with disabilities.
I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant. The concept is unique and intriguing, and the execution did not dissapoint. I had the cornbread, the rabbit stew, and the pig "socket" with housemade pickles. The rabbit stew had a beautiful acidity to it with lots of fresh herbs. They did not skimp on the rabbit meat, which I appreciate. Somehow it managed to be both light and hearty at the same time. I'm a big water, and usually concepts that rely on a bunch of small plates leave me hungry on the way home, but this was not the case. I wish that there was an option on the menu for a sampler platter of pig parts.
There was a really nasty woman screaming at the wait staff about how their restaurant isn't ADA compliant, and throwing around that she's an attorney. She must not be a very good attorney, because the ADA specifies that restaurants that are "structurally impractical" (such as Foraged) are exempt from the requirements, and in fact goes to lay out size requirements for a ramp, that if followed, would be on municipal property. I hope that lady gets her just desserts.
Speaking of desserts, they brought us some mini chocolate chip sea salt cookies to end the meal. They were phenomenal. Next time I'll have to try the pot de creme.
It is clear that the chef understands and respects the ingredients and really lets them shine. We had the mussels, risotto, and pig parts (socket and jowl, specifically), which were all superb. Amazing flavor, everything perfectly cooked and balanced. For dessert, we had the apple pie and chocolate pots de creme, which were both also fantastic. The decor is lovely, the servers are very nice and considerate. Absolutely would come back.
Went with a friend and we had a very nice time. Shared the ricotta as a starter and then I had the pork and he had the chicken. The peach cake and bread pudding for dessert were very good.
The food was so delicious! They were also very accommodating. We were there for my friend's birthday and she is vegan. I mentioned it as a note in the open table reservation and it was clear they read the note. The server started by going through the menu with her so she would know which items they could make vegan before she even mentioned it! At the end of the meal, they normally give each person a cookie with the check, but instead they brought me a cookie and her a piece of dark chocolate (which she loved by the way). We will definitely be back!
It was a special occasion. The menu was interesting The space was pleasant.
We started with corn bread that was tasty and pleantiful. The tomato salad dressing was tangy and unusual.
The rest was unpleasant. The mushroom appetizer had a raw egg on top. The soup was not hot enough to cook the egg white that gave a slimy texture There was way too much salt.
The main course risotto was so salty to be unappetizing. It also had trumpet mushrooms that were undercooked and cut in large chunks that I tried but did not eat
There was one waiter who did his best but did not add enjoyment
The quality of the dinner was inconsistent with the price - $65 per person with one glass of wine and no dessert.
Forage is in an attractive space in a great location. We had enjoyed a previous visit. Hopefully the chef just had a poor night.
All the food was good, except the most important part of the meal... the steak entree. It was incredibly tough. It felt like it may have been a bad cut, Bc there was a thick, chewy tendon running all the way through the entire steak.
My most favorite restaurant! The food is absolutely the best and the staff is always friendly!! I recommend Foraged to all my friends!
We absolutely loved our meal at Foraged! We will definitely be back soon. The standout dish was the mushroom risotto (wow!). The cornbread was too dry, so I'd pass on it next time-- but it was likely just a fluke-- because every other dish was perfection.

Truly stunning experience. Food was divine. They know how to use all parts of a plant or an animal. Wine list was not the most extensive, but each one I tried was a hit. I went back two days later, and enjoyed my experience even more. Definitely try this place.
Light supper. Oysters and pâté were excellent. Peach shortcake delicious. Only a few early diners. Service good.
Food was too salty. My dish was grains with vegetables and there were very few vegetables. Waiter seemed more interested in standing at the kitchen talking to cooks then in checking water glasses. Since we were the only people in the restaurant it seems a bit much that I had to get up and refill our water glasses. The cookies given to us at the end were very tasty.

Tasty but very pricey for the food and savor.
I had the roasted pork and my wife the scallops. The scallops were great, but the pork was underdone. The cornbread was amazing, but the chocolate mousse was too dedicate for the powerful spices of the entré.
The service was excellent but on the whole, the experience lost more than it should have.
If they are going to charge like a gourmet restaurant, they need to think about pairings and menú options.
The atmosphere was warm, the service was efficent but friendly, the menu was interesting and appealing, and we enjoyed the food very much.

I love the concept for this restaurant: "hyper-seasonal" foods sources locally, and foraged in the wild when possible! Chef Chris definitely met and exceeded my expectations. The lion's mane "crabcake" with remoulade was SO delicious, and the mushroom soup tasted so fresh and exciting. With every bite, my tastebuds and my stomach were extremely happy. We got there just after if opened at 5:00pm on a Tuesday, and were the first ones there. By the time we finished, just two other tables had been seated. I loved the quiet ambiance, full of natural decor, including fresh herbs under grow lights on the wall. The only drawback was the price, which wasn't entirely unreasonable, considering how good the food was, but the portion sizes did seem a little small for how much the dishes cost. My friend who ate with me thought that the restaurant didn't quite fit in with the rest of Hampden (which is our mutual favorite neighborhood). Nevertheless, I loved it. I want to see it do well, and I highly recommend giving it a try!
Had a really enjoyable meal at Foraged. The food is fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared. We especially enjoyed the fried oysters, ricotta, heirloom tomatoes, and pork belly. They really know what to do with fresh vegetables- the corn on the pork belly was one of the best things we ate all weekend in Baltimore. This atmosphere is relaxed and friendly

The produce and pork here is top-notch. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, well-balanced, and delicious. We went for Restaurant Week and it was a tremendous value, with much of the regular menu available. The steak was a bit tough, but everything else was delightful. Attentive, knowledgeable, but unintrusive service.
I really like in-season vegatables and local food. I thought foraged would be right up my alley. In the end it was just okay. Menu was somewhat interesting, but nothing too inventive. A good mix of meat and vegetarian options however. Two of three courses I ordered seemed over salted, and I think that I have a high salt tolerance. Overall, it was not bad, not excellent. I would try them again in another season, as I am told the menu changes continously.

This place is small and intimate, seating only about 18-20 people, a perfect date spot but no groups larger than 4. The wait staff ran like a well oiled machine with perfect timing and communication. We didn’t have to wait for a thing. All of our food came just as we were finishing the previous course and our glasses were roped off in a timely manner. We chose the restaurant week menu so we were able to taste a little of everything and everything was amazing. I hate green beans and those that accompanied my pork were delicious. To end the evening they gave us a couple chocolate chip cookies with our check that were the best cookie I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back
Never disappointed when I dine here. Wife and I made reservations for this past Saturday, not knowing it was restaurant week. We were able to get an appetizer, a small plate and an entree for $35, which was more than enough food per person. Staff is very attentive and the environment is very intimate. This has quickly become on our short list of regular restaurants we frequent.
Cute spot with excellent service. I loved all of the things we ordered except for my chicken entree. The chicken had a weird rubbery texture and was challenging to cut. The corn fritters, scallops, ricotta spread and risotto were delicious. The wine was awesome too. I’ll definitely go back.

This hidden gem is not to be missed. The attention to details, friendly service, and amazing use of ingredients - specifically their pig parts, has us already planning our next trip! For two entrees, several pig parts, two desserts, and a bottle of wine set us back only $113. This eatery is the real deal!
