Had a really enjoyable meal at Foraged. The food is fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared. We especially enjoyed the fried oysters, ricotta, heirloom tomatoes, and pork belly. They really know what to do with fresh vegetables- the corn on the pork belly was one of the best things we ate all weekend in Baltimore. This atmosphere is relaxed and friendly
Foraged is my favorite restaurant in Baltimore. They’re consistently excellent across the board. Thank you!!
The produce and pork here is top-notch. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, well-balanced, and delicious. We went for Restaurant Week and it was a tremendous value, with much of the regular menu available. The steak was a bit tough, but everything else was delightful. Attentive, knowledgeable, but unintrusive service.
I really like in-season vegatables and local food. I thought foraged would be right up my alley. In the end it was just okay. Menu was somewhat interesting, but nothing too inventive. A good mix of meat and vegetarian options however. Two of three courses I ordered seemed over salted, and I think that I have a high salt tolerance. Overall, it was not bad, not excellent. I would try them again in another season, as I am told the menu changes continously.
Best food that I’ve ever had. Foraged is amazing!
Never disappointed when I dine here. Wife and I made reservations for this past Saturday, not knowing it was restaurant week. We were able to get an appetizer, a small plate and an entree for $35, which was more than enough food per person. Staff is very attentive and the environment is very intimate. This has quickly become on our short list of regular restaurants we frequent.
This place is small and intimate, seating only about 18-20 people, a perfect date spot but no groups larger than 4. The wait staff ran like a well oiled machine with perfect timing and communication. We didn’t have to wait for a thing. All of our food came just as we were finishing the previous course and our glasses were roped off in a timely manner. We chose the restaurant week menu so we were able to taste a little of everything and everything was amazing. I hate green beans and those that accompanied my pork were delicious. To end the evening they gave us a couple chocolate chip cookies with our check that were the best cookie I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back
Cute spot with excellent service. I loved all of the things we ordered except for my chicken entree. The chicken had a weird rubbery texture and was challenging to cut. The corn fritters, scallops, ricotta spread and risotto were delicious. The wine was awesome too. I’ll definitely go back.
The food was unique and delicious, but portions a bit small.
We loved our meal. Sharing plates was great. This restaurant is a great addition to Baltimore especially if you are vegetarian.
This hidden gem is not to be missed. The attention to details, friendly service, and amazing use of ingredients - specifically their pig parts, has us already planning our next trip! For two entrees, several pig parts, two desserts, and a bottle of wine set us back only $113. This eatery is the real deal!
The food was very fresh; good tasty! Plenty vegetarian choices! The portion works perfect for us.
Food was excellent, our waiter was very good, the food arrived quickly. The restaurant was quiet because it was almost empty when we were there, so it would definitely be noisier when busy. We had tomato salad - delicious, with home-grown tomatoes, basil, goat cheese; cornmeal-fried oysters - also yummy, although my preference is for a lighter cracker or bread crumb coating; scallops with a wonderful fresh sweet corn succotash; and chocolate pot de creme for dessert - also very good. I will certainly go back. I highly recommend it!
From beginning to end everything about the meal and the service was fantastic! Attentive staff gave great suggestions for food and wine. The staff was clearly knowledgeable about the products and their preparation. Food was simply prepared highlighting the quality and freshness of the ingredients, which change frequently. The ricotta and baguette was flavorful and creamy paired with ripe tomatoes. The cornmeal oysters were crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Scallops were perfectly cooked. Heirloom grain “risotto” had a great texture, slightly chewy and creamy with a rustic mushroom flavor. Don’t be afraid to try the pig parts....the socket was amazing, crispy skinned, chewy rendered fat balanced with the right amount of gamey meat. Each layer was better than the next, and the pickled fennel and cucumber was a great accompaniment to cut the richness of the fat. We will definitely be back to try the next iteration of the menu!
Excellent meal and a great value. Portions are small to medium but I like that. Quality over quantity.
The food was terrific and the portions were reasonably sized. We went to celebrate a birthday and we really enjoyed everything. My friend had the soft crab special and I had the roast pork. We both had the blueberry shortcake dessert. My friend had wine with her meal and we had coffee with dessert. The meal was $75. I felt quite reasonable for the quality. The only complaint was the noise level. The room is small, with all hard surfaces, so the talking among the tables gets quite noisy. We had a hard time hearing the server telling us about the specials.
LOVE coming here. Always a great time!
I wish I could rate Foraged higher than 5 stars. Amazing every time.
The staff are attentive, but not overly so. The food was very good, although the portions are small. We loved the squash blossoms, oysters and squid. The steak was salty and overcooked.
Food was perfect and felt so special. Worth the price for sure. Amazing service. Can’t wait to go back.
It was absolutely perfect, from the ambiance, service, food quality, selection of food, and chefs preparation!!! Just amazing!!!
That place is absolutely fantastic. Totally stumbled upon it when traveling for work and could lot have been more impressed. Great staff, awesome service and superb fresh menu. If my schedule allowed me to go again, I totally would have!
We took our friends who recently got married out to Foraged as their wedding gift. They had an amazing time and said the meal was by far the best gift anyone gave them.
I had been to Foraged once before and really enjoyed it. It was just as good, if not better than the first time. Will definitely go again.
This was the second time that we visited Foraged. Had another fresh and outstanding dinner! We brought along my boyfriend's son, who is an avid mushroom hunter. He was extremely delighted that Chef was willing to cook up some chanterelles for him. Very nice addition to our Father's Day celebration!
Perfect food! The acoustics were very loud!! Needs ceiling padded to help the acoustics .
I think my expectations were too high for the low key-ness of Foraged. I intend to visit again and spend more time studying the menu. The choices we made were not to our liking, but love the concept of hyper local, and that the menu is rarely the same! Kudos to the hard work they have put into the restaurant - I hope Hampden rents don't force them out of the neighborhood!
Foraged is our new favorite restaurant in Baltimore. The food is incredibly fresh, the service was outstanding, the menu was interesting and fun, the ambiance was relaxing and the restaurant is beautiful. I can’t get over the food though, best meal in a long time. Thank you!!!
Took my daughter here and we both agreed it was the best meal we have had in a very long time. We split a combination of small, medium and large plates... soft crab special app, scallops, pork belly & oysters, cornbread, and steak and vegetables. Everything was excellent as was the bottle of wine we enjoyed with our meal.
I love this restaurant. Great food, really nice people and excellent service.
Delicious! We had the soft-shelled crabs, scallops, and the mushroom stew -- all were really good, super tasty, and made with the best ingredients. Service was attentive, though a bit slow. The small and mid-sized plates, however, were pretty small.
Wonderful Date Night Spot. Food is decently priced for the quality you are getting. Hyper seasonal and local foods. Flavors are fresh, clean and simple. The honest and pure flavor of the food is on the spotlight here. Service was wonderful and timed well too. Highly recommend and will definitely return. Make sure to try one of the cookies you get with your receipt!
We had a great experience at Foraged. A well designed, small dining room set the ambiance for the evening. Half price bottles of wine on Sunday certainly opened us up to being more adventurous with our wine choices. All of our meals were great, from appetizers, to entrees, and the dessert. I thought my entree lacked the smallest bit of flavor, but that didn't take away from the fact that all meals were wonderful.
We would absolutely come back in the future.
It was a first date and it was very welcoming. Aesthetically pleasing. Food was delicious(chicken). Waiter was super attentive. Water was always topped off. Great experience overall.
Had an exceptional night! Our server walked us through the family style concept and we ordered all kinds of things! Everything was so beautifully presented and tasted even better! It was a lovely night in a great section of Baltimore. We'll be returning!
Best true local farm to table experience in Baltimore
The food was unique and tasty but it was room temperature as if it had been pre-cooked and attempted to be reheated. The portions were *very* small for the *high* price. Both our wine glasses had some sort of film in them, adding a strange filmy layer to our drinks. The cornbread had a very odd aftertaste. The menu was interesting but we won’t return because the value for price just wasn’t there!
The food was unique with a lot of fresh ingredients but we left hungry because the portions were so small. The waiter wasn’t super friendly. We always like to chat with our waiter a bit as it makes for a more pleasant experience but this waiter seemed short and dry. The ambience was nice but the restaurant was pretty chilly. The restaurant has potential but I doubt we would go back. The mushroom stew and the corn bread were very delicious so if it go I would order those two items.
First time visit and we'll be back!!! Amazing food, unique options, fun to try!
