   This place is shut, gone out of business!! You asked me to confirm ahead my booking. It was only by accident that I found out it was no longer operating. And now you are asking me to review! Get you act together Open Table!

   Closed and wasn’t informed. Still had to confirm booking confirmation even when closed. Luckily we had seen on instagram beforehand but others might not.

   Booked in advance and got booking conformation email day before, came from London got there on Friday night and the place was closed. Asked some people in bar opposite and apparently they closed up at 4am on the Tuesday and did not tell their staff so presume they are owed money. So Friday night in York and having to find somewhere to eat. Was going to be special treat for my Son. Vey poor open table and Forage. Bunch of crooks.

   I’ve no idea because it was shut when I got there!! No message or email, just an eviction notice stuck to the door. Thankfully got in at The Botinist next door and had a lovely meal. Such a shame.

   I think you need to update your information. We arrived and this restaurant was permanently closed. I only booked the day before.

    Devastated to be completely honest. Got in touch 2 weeks in advance as I was bringing my best friend here for her 30th birthday as a surprise. Asked them if there was anything they could do to make it a bit special e.g. balloon, drinks on arrival and I got a quick response saying this would be no problem at all which I was really excited about. Check again with the restaurant 2 days prior to our visit to make sure this was still all okay...Yes absolutely no problem, they were looking forward to seeing us! Arrived at the restaurant on the Saturday afternoon with my best friend, staff were completely oblivious to the whole thing. I mentioned this to the waitress as they were seating us and said there should be a table decorated at least? I got a total blank look just for her to go on and say "i'm so sorry, we completely forgot...we've been soooooo busy this weekend" (despite the fact it was only 2pm on a Saturday afternoon and there was only about 4 other tables in). Obviously panic had set in at this point. We got 2 cocktails brought to us (even though sparkling wine was promised upon arrival) then my friend was handed a happy birthday card with a 10% off food and drinks voucher in it...I appreciated that they at least made a effort with a card, but what annoyed me even more was there was already a 10% off the bills in August so what really was the point?? Apart from that massive let down which upset most of my afternoon as I felt I let me friend down, the food was lovely. I'd recommend going for the food but please don't expect anything if booking in advance for a surprise or special occasion, you'll only get forgot about.
