Le Forage est un bistro de quartier à West Cambridge, juste à côté de Harvard Square. Grâce à des partenariats avec les agriculteurs et pêcheurs locaux, le restaurant propose un menu unique, local et de saison, axé sur les ingrédients, un menu provocateur mais en même temps accessible et sain. Le bar au Forage sert des cocktails préparés à la manière classique, qui se concentrent sur des ingrédients locaux et saisonniers. Le Forage dispose également d'une sélection soigneuse de vins blancs, rouges et mousseux, tous organiques ou biodynamiques, et d'une sélection de bières provenant de brasseries indépendantes et innovantes. À la barre du Forage se trouve le propriétaire et directeur général Stan Hilbert, le chef Eric Cooper et le gérant du bar Joe Choiniere. Le trio a travaillé ensemble pendant sept ans au Ten Tables à Jamaica Plain.

    Enjoy some off-the-beaten-path wines of the Rhone, including an amphora aged wine, the obscure grape Chatus, and Ex Libris from renowned winemaker Laura Aillaud. Chefs Eric Cooper & Alycia Palame have crafted a menu specifically designed to compliment the unique characteristics of each wine, culminating in a four course menu that is not to be missed. The cost is $125 per person, for the food & wine, and doesn’t include tax, tip, or add ons like additional courses, pickle platters, or an extra bottle of wine.

    The staff was attentive, courteous, friendly, engaging, and accommodating. We went for my girlfriend’s birthday, she is vegan, and they happily went through the menu letting us know what substitutions/plates worked with her diet. All of the food was outstanding. Cannot recommend this place enough. We will be returning.

    We loved this restaurant. It is definitely pricey, but totally worth the experience and the taste! Go for a special occasion. The wait staff was so attentive. We ordered the vegan and vegetarian tasting menus. We loved the surprised, the combination of tastes, and the amount of food. All amazing.

    Forage is our favorite restaurant in the Boston area. We’ve never been disappointed. The food is always outstanding, the wine list full of great discoveries, and the staff are fabulous.

    We sat at the bar and Josh, the incredible bar tender, made great cocktails with unusual ingredients as well as walked us through the tasting menu. It was inventive, inspired and delicious. What delightful experience all around.

    We sampled just about everything on the menu including the hot sauce sampler and it was all delicious. Standouts were the MUSHROOM POZOLE VERDE and ROASTED MUSHROOMS & APPLES which was topped with caramel onion ice cream. Amazing. Our server Zoe took great care of us and found the perfect wine for everyone to enjoy with their main dishes.

    Forage is a gem! The food is absolutely stunning. My friend and I ordered a sample of small plates. Everything was exquisite, and we especially liked the mushroom gratin with caramelized onion ice cream. I'm a dessert person and restaurants usually don't do them well, but the black cherry pastry was phenomenal. I also really appreciated the small scale of the restaurant. The noise level is reasonable and we could have a conversation easily, even on a busy Saturday night. Reservations are a must.

    Really cool vibe and GREAT service. A young team creating sg interesting in a basement space. Tables looked great but bar seating allowed us to interact more intimately with wait staff. A relaxed and grunge style reception and space. But the downside were the main dishes, which were outlandishly overpriced. Each dish should have been 10 dollars less than they were. CAMBRIDGE once again overselling itself. Presentation was below average. Vegan dishes are not great. DESSERTS ARE GREAT! Worth a visit but wallet will be thin afterwards.
