This was my first time here. I went on a Sunday at 11am. The atmosphere was pretty lively. There was a DJ playing a good variety of music but it was a little too loud for me. I was there to catch up with a friend and I couldn’t hear her at times.

They offer a good selection of brunch food but I wish they would have also made their lunch menu available at that time to give a little more variety. The prices were good and the service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

The parking lot is pretty small but there is plenty of street parking, if you don’t mind doing a little walking.

Great short rib sliders to start the meal! There were 3 entrees, beef stroganoff, pesto shrimp pasta, and steak salad. All were very good, and topped off with the giant sized ice cream sundae, delicious!

Very, very noisy! Limited standard seating. Pork chop was more like fat back than pork chop. Chicken on the salad was tough and the veggies were undercooked. First time there. There are better restaurants in the area. Great place for a large group if the food and service improves. Didn't have enough help.

Went for a New Year's Eve dinner with a few friends and my lovely lady. Ben, our server, was absolutely amazing! Very attentive and friendly! Food was great, had prime rib that was absolutely delicious. Party favor and free champagne were even given out at midnight. Would definitely recommend!

We had a good New Year’s Eve. dinner @ Foothill. Restaurant was a little chilly on a very cold night; no heater apparently? Made earlier dinner reservations as noise level increased by end of dinner. Overall, good food & service.

Excellent service from the moment we walked in. The manager and staff were all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. I'll definitely be back and refer friends.

The food was delicious and the ambience was great, however our server was a nightmare... She was so intense that she kind of stressed out my entire group. She was rude to her co workers and even snatched a couple of drinks out of one’s hand. She rattled off the entire menu to us without letting anyone actually decide what they wanted to eat first. She was just so intense the entire night. Honestly, if we had a different server it would’ve been the perfect night.

The staff is friendly, service excellent, food delicious - with a rather limited menu, but some interesting choices. It is not the place to go if you want to carry on a conversation as it is extremely noisy, especially during Happy Hour. No need to dress up as the staff is in denim, but it is not really a place to take children. The biggest problem, however, is the parking. This will not surprise anyone used to dining in Pasadena, but this restaurant is a member of the Two-hey group and they should be a little more aware of this issue.

Overall I liked Foothill. But I wasn’t sure on what cocktail to have and our waiter had no suggestions and I was really hoping for the bartender to make me something that was not on the menu. The food seemed to take long to come out, but it was delicious. Unfortunately we sat in the bar that night and there were some very loud drunk people who kept bumping into us at our table and really didn’t seem to care. I found it odd that management didn’t seem to ask it to hold it down while people were trying to dine. I get having fun, but being over served and rude I really didn’t expect from this place. But I am willing to give it another try.

I really wanted to like this place. It has a very nice ambience inside, and I would’ve given it five stars for ambiance if it hadn’t been so cold inside. It took a long time after we were seated to get the waitress to place our order. The tomato soup and grilled cheese combination would have benefited from a lack of capers on top of the soup, and the soup and grilled cheese actually being served piping hot. As it was, both the soup and the grilled cheese were just warm. The silver lining to the coldness was that the delicious ice cream sundae stayed nice and cold to the very end.

The food was so good. Went to brunch with some friends, we ordered the nutella waffle, chilaquiles and the chocolate chip pancakes and they were all so yummy! I had a michilada so I wish they had more choices for beer but it was good with what they offered me. My only gripe is that when we walked in they seated us immediately (let me finish) but later I received an email from Open Table lecturing me about not showing up to my reservations because I guess Foothill Restaurant told them I never showed up for it. I did show up (obviously) but they didn't ask if I had a reservation and/or if it was with Open Table in the first place. I guess some training of the staff to ask that question if they are expecting a reservation? Other than that, the experience was really good! Can't wait to go back!

If your the owner and you are visiting guest you should visit all tables - so wondering why no visit to our table? (one could draw conclusions) - Can see this becoming a "neighborhood regulars spot"good luck with that. Vegetarian options - not one on the "Farm" menu. Trust me veterinarians have money and want more that salad. I think you have good value but cant bring my vegetarian friends.

Our food was good for the cost - but if you have Stroganoff you should have some "sour" to it - it was creamy but bland. 4 stars out of 5 (ok 3.8)

Oh - sorry on a roll - the wall that separates the bar from the west tables is too high - if I could see the bar I might be tempted.................

Had the special fish, bacon wrapped shrimp with mushroom farro risotto and asparagus. It was smoky good and delicious! The beef stroganoff was goodcas well.

I've been to Foothill Restaurant a few times now and the ambiance is very nice. However, this past Sunday i thought I'd give it a try for Sunday Brunch. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and she really wanted to go somewhere with "endless" Mimosas. The Mimosas were great but unfortunately the rest of the experience was not up to par. The coffee was only lukewarm and breakfast fare was mediocre at best. When our food was delivered we noticed there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table and there was no jam provided for the toast. When our waiter was no where to be seen i decided to try to catch the eye of the Manager who was standing by the front door. Sadly he was completely inattentive and made not attempt to check on his customers. I really hate it when Managers fail to watch what is going on in their restaurant and neglect to offer a helping hand to their obviously worked wait staff. Anyway, after a shout across the room the Manager came over and I asked him for salt, pepper, and jam. Do you think he went and grabbed it for us? No he didn't, he merely passed on the request to another already overworked waiter. Seriously? Get with the program! You're supposed to me a manager, learn to manage and lead by example.

This was our first time for dinner (we’d eaten lunch/brunch a couple of times) and we had a great experience. The food was delicious. We started with the Grilled Artichoke appetizer w/ 2 dips (butter & mayo/dill). VERY good. My wife had the Lemon Chicken w/grilled veggies. EXCELLENT! I had the Shepherd’s Pie. Also EXCELLENT! Great flavor . . .actually better than Mom used to make! BOTH entrees were sizeable enough to split unless you have a big appetite, so be prepared for a lot of food. We will definitely return to try some of the other menu items!

The live music featuring Casey McCreary was our real draw...FANTASTIC!!! AND we enjoyed a delicious and varied dinner between us three. The place was packed..... but there needs to be something done about the extreme noise level... it was definitely difficult to converse over the crowd! Our waiter and the host were so very accommodating and polite! Well worth the visit!

My spouse & I went to have dinner here after attending a play at the Pasadena Playhouse. The food was delicious! The service was excellent! Unfortunately we missed the live music from 7-10 pm on Saturdays. The place was getting busy when we left at 6 pm. We will definitely return for either their Sunday brunch or late dinner.

Hostess was a bit rude upon our arrival. There were several empty tables yet she made us wait and then grabbed a water soaked rag and cleaned off a dirty table. She then sat us there where it was still wet from the rag, instead of sitting us at an available table. We then waited 5 minutes to get service from the waitress. She came over and asked if we wanted water and we said yes. By then we already had plenty of time to review the menu so we ordered our food right away. We get our food 15-20 minutes later and still no water at our table but we did get the drinks we ordered. We get our meals from someone else and our waitress had not come to check on us. We asked if we can get water and ketchup for our meal to the person that dropped off our meal and she said she would let our waitress know. We then knew we should start eating because she still had not checked on us. Mind you that this isn’t a big place. Just seemed that she was purposely being slow and didn’t look like she wanted to be there. I was almost done with my meal when she was walking behind me and my friend asked if we can get the waters and ketchup. It took her a few minutes to come back to our table and I was done with my meal by then. Didn’t finish all of it because it was bland. No salt or pepper on the tables and no condiments readily available. I didn’t enjoy my first experience at this restaurant. I do plan on returning and seeing if there is a better experience.

We found this restaurant through a search on the internet. We had the best time, particularly due to great service by our waiter Ben. Food was good. Atmosphere was nice. We plan to make it a regular haunt!

This is the revamped version of Twohey's Tavern that originally opened about a year ago, and was surprisingly pretty bad, being an offshoot of Twohey's in Alhambra, that has been successful for decades! At that time, service and food both needed a lot of work.
To their credit, the owners realized this (after a lot of bad reviews), closed the place, revamped it, reopened with a new name, menu and crew, and it paid off! Not perfect, but getting there!
