Need to book at 4:15 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Jordan was amazing!! Will be returning
The food is amazing! Southern comfort food at its finest. My husband and I can’t wait to go back.
Good food, good beer, good service, nice restaurant. The Bar area is comfortable and spacious. The dining areas are separate rooms, There is a nice outdoor area for warmer weather dining. A nice place to get a bite to eat.
Although 1 in our party requested a substitute, it was brought to the table without that substitution. All the food was served and the salmon arrived 10 minutes later. The restaurant was not at all crowded. I wish there were more vegetarian entree options. Our waitress was very apologetic but offered no comps. Maybe we’ll try again another time.
The food was good. A small selection though. Our waitress was nice and made good recommendations for us. The milkshakes are quite bad. Would recommend one of the other desserts.
Nice laid back atmosphere, food and service were good. We’ll be back!
The lobster mac and cheese was very very dry. The sea bass and the beet salad were wonderful. The flourless chocolate cake turned out to be a trifle that was pretty but overly sweet with very little cake.
Great food and great service. even during restaurant week.
Food Plenty was on top of my list as restaurants to check out. I checked out the menu prior to dining, and was so excited to try the Shrimp and Grits. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. The grits lacked seasoning and the texture of them was slimy and the grains were bigger than normal. The tastiest thing on the plate was the collard greens. The shrimp was cooked well. We also ordered the “crispy” wings, and they were not crispy at all. The skillet cornbread cake cold, even though we were warned that the skillet may be hot lol. The plating was nice. The server was polite, but as the meal went on, not very attentive. She was good enough, but far from the best we have ever had.
We will give this place another try, due to the ambience and location...but will NOT reorder any of the items we previously had.
Our waitress was good,,
The food was just average. My french onion soup was served barely warm with little in the way of onions. Seabass on linguini was undercooked.
A good place for comfort food although, they do have a couple dishes that lean somewhat towards the healthy side.
First disappointing meal here, fried oyster Caesar salad with colorless romaine lettuce, bland croutons, not-fresh Parmesan cheese and just. few fried oysters tossed on top. Others in our party enjoyed their meal so will try again.
Decent enough for a good beer and some “comfort” food, although the atmosphere is surprisingly cold. We were seated near a bathroom door that clattered and banged every time someone went in or out. Our salad and entree came at the same time. Not the end of the world, but I expected a little bit more for the investment. Our second visit in two years and I don’t expect to come more often than that - only when our usual faves start to get boring.
Always great food and the staff are fabulous, friendly and helpful.
We want to love this place. But it seems that every time we are there, something is just not right. Very loud chairs on tile floors in the big back room (and staff totally oblivious when they are dragging tables and chairs around to reconfigure. Heck, extremely loud with customers moving chairs in and out!) Menu is not very friendly for those with food sensitivities. This time, after stating I have food sensitivities, I ordered my burger and fries without the bun and without cheese. My meal came without fries and with cheese. They were very apologetic and fixed it, but I sat while the rest of my party ate their meal. And when my meal did come, the burger was undercooked. Now, management and server were VERY good about it, but I'm just saying..... just another thing that makes it hard to love this place. We will keep going bac because of proximity, and will just keep hoping.
We have eaten at Food Plenty several times and have always enjoyed our meals. New Year's Eve was not as good. My husband had the lamb stew starter which was tasty (and a little spicy hot). I had the tomato soup which was a generous serving but was spicy hot and since I do not like spicy hot foods, I could not finish it. (I have never tasted tomato soup that was spicy.) I was looking forward to my lamb sheperd's pie (since my husband's lamb stew was tasty), but the lamb mixture was was bland. (I was glad that it was not spicy, however, it seemed to have no seasoning at all. The mashed potatoes on top were good. I probably will try Food Plenty again, and hope that it will be better.
First time eating there since it had gotten a mediocre reputation when it first opened, but my party thought the food was excellent. I'll go back.
A frittata was ordered, and it was requested as cooked through, but it was not. It was returned and after a delay, a second smaller frittata was served which was OK, but both were missing items mentioned in the menu - vegetables.
One member in our party of four ordered the breakfast brunch - pancakes, eggs, sausages, etc. One sausage was burnt to a crisp. The pancakes were dry and uninteresting.
The other two orders were good to very good.
I have been to Food Plenty many times in the past, but none in the past year. I always order the Grilled Cheese BLT each time I go there. I was excited to have it but was disappointed. The sandwich included too many bacons and less cheese. The bread was a bit too toasty. It was hard to bite with so many bacons.
That sandwich that I had is not kid friendly meal, but in the past,, it was the perfect sandwich for the kids. So soft with melting cheese. Also, the tomato soups was so spicy!!! Too too spicy !!! It appears that there is a new chef or other people complaining about not enough bacon ??
It was a disappointing outcome and I don’t think I will order that sandwich again the next time I go back there.
We sat at the bar and had a lovely evening. The bartenders, Shay and Jason were attentive and took great care of us. We shared the beet salad which was excellent. Fresh and great flavors. My pork sliders were sooo good. They came with great fries. My husband’s lamb sheperds pie was bland. We had a fun evening
The location and ambiance were great. It was a very slow night so the restaurant was quiet, but we had to wait a surprisingly long time for someone to seat us. A host never appeared--we eventually went to the bar and got someone to seat us. After that the service was excellent. The food left something to be desired. The fries came out tepid, the pimento cheese grits were bland, and the lobster salad was not particularly good and served on some weak buns I could've gotten at Food Lion. We'll go back, but will be more judicious about what we order.
Burger was good but not great. The fries and short rib grilled cheese were greasy. Seemed like the oil they used may not be hot enough.
We’ve always appreciated Manor Hill and Victorias, so we wanted to try out Food Plenty. We tried it once, with a few friends, the experience was not the best so this time, we wanted to try it ourselves. We planned a date night, hoping to have the great experience, like the other restaurants but unfortunately, we had a really bad experience in almost every way, with exception of the hostess and manager who greeted us. My wife ordered a “blackened chicken” pasta dish and tomato cream bisque. I ordered the short rib and a salad. We split an additional appetizer. So let’s go straight into it;
1) After our appetizer, the rest of the food came to us the wrong way. Everything came at once, even though we asked our server to bring it in a particular order.
2) My wife’s food was cold.
3) The tomato bisque didn’t come with a spoon and the cream was coagulated.
4) The “blackened chicken” pasta dish did not have blackened chicken. It was the sauce that was blackened or something.
5) My wife mentioned that the pasta was not only cold but the dish was also bland.
6) She took three bites TOPS and returned the meal. The waiter was surprised actually. He charged us for the meal by the way.
7) The short rib was also cold.
We quickly paid our check and left. Unfortunately , we are not coming back there again. If everyone else has had a great time there. Great...just wanted to tell our side of the story.
We enjoyed our Friday night meal. Service was friendly and efficient. I had the mussels appetizer as an entree and it was more than sufficient. Spicy and delicious. A small beet salad was fresh and had a delicious dressing. My companion enjoyed his shrimp and grits. Beer selection was varied and enjoyable.
Good food; very good service. Easy to carry on a conversation. Lunch on a weekday was not busy at all.
The four of us had a terrific time. Food was fresh and had excellent flavor. Looking forward to going back soon.
First time. Loved it
Loved the menu choices and atmosphere. Works well for family dinner. Food was excellent with service to match.
As it states, great comfort food. Everything on the menu is great!
Just an ok place. I had high expectations because I love Victoria's and Manor Hill. I went with two friends for Sunday brunch. The smoked salmon toast looked and tasted great but was a small portion for the price. My breakfast chicken nachos sounded better on the menu than in real life. Chicken was dry, tortilla chips on the bottom were soaked in grease and way too much sour cream. Guac and the eggs were good. The place was pretty loud once it started filling up. Our waiter, Tim, was great, though.
We were seated 25 minutes after our reservation time. Food was good but could have been hotter. They were very busy.
Wonderful dinner and service was terrific. We look forward to our next mea at Food Plenty.
We will go back - more things we need to try, like dessert and the Monday deal on burgers!
Great service but caught the wait team in between shifts which slowed delivery of our cocktails and appetizers.
This was the third - and last - time there.
My husband ordered the tomato basil soup which was cold even on the third try with the excuse that the creamer fraiche made it sold. Here’s a suggestion - don’t put it in the soup! Make it a side & let the diner put it in!
I ordered the oysters on a Caesar sales, requesting the dressing in the Sid. Since this was to be my entree, I asked about the # of oysters & was told 5 - it came with four & when I asked for the other one,
It never arrived.
The wedge salad had unidentifiable things in it & the iceberg lettuce was brown.
We always give a restaurant at least three shots to get their act together - it hasn’t happened & we will not be returning.
Sad - it looked like it could be a really nice place but bad food and a lousy attitude finished it for us.
Ok except server didn’t know how to use out gift card
The short rib, salmon and sides were served cold. The server was wearing so much cologne it was disturbing .
salmon tasted ok, just a small portion.
Great all around. Food and service are always excellent.
