I would have rated it better, however, they were out of 3 of the four entrees that we ordered as well as two wines. Given the fact that it was only 4:45pm, I was surprised and saddened. What we did have was very good. Just not our first, second, or third choice.

We went to Food Dance prior to seeing the Lion King. Our waitress assured us we would be done by 7:15 to make it to Miller. Our food didn’t arrive until 7:05. Our table ordered a salad, chicken sandwich, and burger. We saw other tables who arrived after us get our food before us. The lettuce on the salad and chicken sandwich was wilted and tasted spoiled. The chicken sandwich which I have had before used to have a chicken breast but this was made with deli meat. The fries were terrible and it tasted like old oil was used to make them. I normally go to Food Dance for breakfast and have always loved the food. I will never be back for dinner it was overpriced for mediocre food. I could have gone to a chain restaurant and had better food for half the price.

We had dinner at Food Dance before seeing the Lion King at Miller Auditorium. We had a relaxing dinner and still we were out in plenty of time for the show.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Food Dance! Nine of us went after a show at Miller, and we all raved about our food and drinks. Make sure to stop at the market and take home some amazing Pimento Cheese!

Our waiter was superb. He gave us plenty of time to talk yet checked appropriately to be sure if we needed anything.

The bibb lettuce salad and cod entree specials were excellent. However, the pad thai was disappointing and no chop sticks were available. We wish Food Dance would bring back a delicious duck entree with bok choy that used to be a favorite of ours.

I took out of town family to your restaurant. They loved it! The prices are a bit steep but for special occasions it it super! My nephew is a 7 year old special needs child and the staff went out of its way to give him attention. Loved the food.

We normally have a great experience here. However, this was an exception. We arrived for a 6 PM reservation and were seated a little late because a group had been there since lunch and had not left and that was the table planned for us. We had a show at 8 PM two blocks away, but we had to eat our food very quickly because the food did not arrive until about 740 or 745.

Today's service was very slow. Good was good and not very hot. They have seemed a bit overwhelmed today, not the usual standard.

Our visit to Food Dance was just ok. Nice atmosphere and our waitress was really nice however we were disappointed with the food and the service was incredibly slow. It took 2 hours from the time we sat down. We dine out frequently (with 2 kids) and can usually get out within an hour. Two of us ordered the same Pad Thai dish and they were like completely different dishes. One was really dry with hardly any flavor and the other was coated with a nice spicy sauce. We would have mentioned it but it took so long to get our food, we didn't have the time to send it back. In addition, the brownie on our sundae was so hard, we couldn't even cut through it. We traveled to town to see the Lion King so most likely we won't be back because we just don't go to Kalamazoo. The pimento cheese app was delicious and my husband raved about his burger which is why I would still recommend this restaurant.

It is not a place to rush in and hurry the "food experience". Every dish is a great combination of flavors and textures that compliment each other. Brandon was a fantastic waiter giving excellent service but still allowing us to enjoy our own experience.

Had a nice dinner with colleagues, everyone enjoyed the cheese plate and our entrees. The Mac and cheese was very good but very rich...salmon and risotto dishes were great as was the pork chop. I’d go again.

I have enjoyed eating here for many years and have always had excellent meals, however, I had to send back my entrée as it was raw in parts (pork chop). It was only warm when it arrived too. My dinner was replaced by a correctly cooked pork chop, but it has left a very bad impression after all these years.

We took our granddaughter here to celebrate her 15th birthday and really enjoyed our experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, loved the atmosphere, and the food was excellent. We had the pimento cheese spread for an appetizer, and it is really good, as is the Mac and cheese!! There is a wonderful selection of desserts, which our granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed. This was our first visit, but will be back when we are in the area!

I am not sure if I would recommend Food Dance. I ordered the catch of the day special, and it was good but not very flavorful. My husband liked his meal (flank steak). The atmosphere and service were great.

Very good food, entrees beyond the ordinary and ambiance that make for a classy casual dining experience. Price a little beyond the chain restaurants, but not by much. Costs balanced by the quality of the experience and food.

Had a nice meal in a relaxed environment. The place was almost empty. Was disappointed in our waitress as she was absent for most of the meal. They were very slow so the bartender refilled our waters and bussed the table. We will definitely go back, but hope service seems more interested in ‘SERVICE.’

Curry popcorn chickpeas and pimento cheese were great!

Excellent food, outstanding service. Never disappointing. The only down side is a slightly limited menu, but the food is so good, it's still worth it. And the bakery/store let's you buy amazing bread and desserts to take home.

I have dined at Food Dance a several times and was very satisfied until last visit. I ordered a Fennel Brined Pork chop medium with potato dumplings, what I received was a over cooked well done, tuff, dry gristly brick and the potato dumplings were very bland, the steak knife looked like and was as dull as a butter knife (I actually had to use the butter knife it cut much better with a bit less effort). I would have had them take it back and order something different but we did not have time to wait due to a show time and they were extremely busy. Of all the different dinners I have enjoyed there this one was bad and absolutely did not warrant the $26 price tag! Needless to say after spending $150 for a birthday family dinner I was not pleased at all. I may give them another chance due to their past great dinner track record but will definitely not order the Pork chop!

As always, the food is great and the service is wonderful. We enjoy coming here from time to time prior to taking in a show at the Kalamazoo Civic. The only real issue we have is that the price point is a bit high for many. For example, they had a margarita on special that is served in a small glass and it cost $8. I would hate to know what the regular price is. The food is just as pricey but it is always good. We would come more if they were more reasonable.

This place was pretty pricey for dinner and I wasn’t too impressed with the food. Now I have visited Food Dance for lunch on two other occasions and it was great. I took a chance on the pad Thai and it was a horrible order also I ordered a seasonal adult beverage. It was a caramelized drink of some kind, I had to send it back it was so horrible and the server even mentioned that it was a disgusting drink. For 10 of us (high priced) gratuity was already included but I wasn’t too upset by it as the service was really good. They gave us a private room with closed doors and we were able to be very social. My advice is if you visit food dance for dinner, go with traditional American meals.

We always have a great meal here. This time was a little less impressive since it seemed that they squeezed us into a 2-top table. We were sitting extremely close to our neighbor table of two who were pretty loud. The server was good. He has been there a while, he just seemed to have way too many tables to give the great service we are used to when we go here. Loved the food, as always. Drinks are delicious; handmade cocktails are a must try.
