   Must be an early crowd here. Been a couple times niw and both Totally dead. we were the only people there. Which is fine but sometimes you want ambiance, other people for people watching.although they were out if the shrimp pasta and short rib. Tsk tsk,the food is good here and staff was great.good gumbo abd onion rings. Nice,we will be back again

   Food 101 is consistently our go to restaurant. Great food, very friendly service and a comforting atmosphere. It is the epitome of a wonderful neighborhood restaurant!

   We were there early, and the restaurant was not at all crowded, so the noise level was great - we could actually have a conversation! We had 2 appetizers to share, and that plus an entree each was plenty of food - no need for dessert. Both the onion rings and the Brussels sprouts were delicious; they made us want to come back and try the fried green tomatoes and house-made chips with French onion dip. Both of us had a crab cake, which was delicious. The accompanying slaw was also good, though not traditional - a bit citrusy and softer in texture than expected. Steak fries and whipped potato were good, too. Service was excellent.Liked that we had the choice of one or to crab cakes; they offer portion choice for the fried chicken, too. Very much appreciated by both waistline and wallet.

   Everything on the menu sounded appetizing. Our server gave a few suggestions because everything sounded so good. I got the chicken and French toast cause they were out of waffles and the meal was still great. My friend got the Fat Boy Brunch and was far from disappointed as well.

   The location and the staff were very nice, I just wasn't a huge fan of the appetizer and brunch selection that I ordered. Because my preferences may be different from others I won't try to prohibit anyone from trying it so I would suggest it for someone looking for brunch in the area.

    Missing basic ingredient, out of rice. I attempted to order the short ribs but they were also out of them. I finally settled on a steak sandwich which I ordered medium but received well done and rubbery. The rest of my table was happy with their meals though. Restaurant was also very cold and drafty. Admittedly we did not complain about any of these issues or offer a chance to remedy.

    I guess there’s a reason the place wasn’t busy at 7:30 on a Sat nite... very mediocre to say the least. A bare bones portion entree and unremarkable at that. Will keep on drivin’ on by....

    Had a great experience. The scallops were amazing! Two people at our table had a special halibut dish and loved it. Would definitely recommend!

    We went on Valentine’s Day, waitress was very nice but our appetizer came to the wrong table and drinks took a bit too long to come out. I didn’t love that there was a specific Valentine’s Day menu since it limited us but overall it was ok.

    First glass of wine was a extremely small pour compared to others being served in the restaurant. Second glass was a decent pour and comparable to others I observed being served from the bar. The thing that bothered me the most is that wait staff bumped into the back of my chair about 5 or 6 times without saying anything (excuse me, etc.) to me. These bumps were not simply scraping the back of my chair but they knocked me forward. After the second bump I looked and there was sufficient room to walk by plus I was pulled up to the table as close as I could get. I finally had my family move the table to create more room. I was somewhat disappointed in the food as I've eaten there many times, both in large groups in the private room and in smaller settings with family and friends and the food has always been really good. This night it was bad, but it was mediocre.

    Had not been in a couple of years, but glad I'm back! It's even better than I remember. Had a great lunch with my best friend. The food was wonderful and the cocktails even better! Lobster Cobb salad is the best! And the craft cocktail called "Honey Do I Miss You" is kickass! Many thanks to the bartender for giving us the cocktail recipe.

    Food was excellent but the service was flat out terrible. Server completely forgot about us and we were HER ONLY TABLE. She was spending most of her time talking with the hostess or outside watching a cop pull over a car. Didn’t come by our table once for an hour after we got our food.

    It had been a long time since we ate at Food 101 and the it was for dinner. This time we were looking for a good brunch place and...this is it! The offerings for brunch are many and very good. We opted for the pancake and one of us had the French Toast. Both were excellent and so was the service. Try brunch at Food 101. It's worth the trip.

    We have been coming to this restaurant for many years. It was one of the first of its type in Atlanta, and it continues to deliver a good product in a very comfortable environment. Menu changes periodically which I like but perhaps some would not. We started with the salmon appetizer followed by meatloaf for one in our party and trout for the other. All was very good. I must compliment the person who selects their wine. Very good selection at a most reasonable price point. And our server, without being asked, served us a small taste of each wine that we had selected prior to pouring the full glass. We started with cocktails, and you should too. One of the Best Old-Fashioneds I have had in Atlanta.

    Most dishes were excellent, I am a fan of calamari and it was a little chewy. My teenager had the sliders...the cheese and relish on the sliders was different than a cheeseburger, so I will order it differently next time. Service was great and the tuna and meatloaf were definate hits for the table.

    Come here for dinner for years. This is the first time i’ve Gone here for lunch. Big difference. Overpriced for what you get. Menu was limited to a special brunch menu also, which wasn’t made clear o their site. Site showed a different lunch menu.

    Disappointing meal, bummer! Had to send my first glass of wine back because of a moldy, stale flavor. The next glass from a fresh bottle was good. The crab cake severely over cooked and nearly burned, the meat on the charcuterie plate was not fresh but the cheese was good despite an unimaginable selection. I had a great lunch here a dew weeks and assumed dinner would be just as good, sadly it wasn’t true.

    Mediocre at best. The food wasn’t “bad”, but it wasn’t good either. Everything was basically just OK. Server had no personality at all and didn’t really seem to be interested in what he was doing. Restaurant was almost completely empty on a Friday night and were out of the things I wanted (beer and short rib mole for burrito). Wife had the tomato soup and couldn’t even eat it, worse than Campbell’s. I know this place has been there forever, but will be surprised if it lasts much longer. Seem to be phoning it in

    The three of us enjoyed our meals of salmon and steak medallions very much. Our only complaint is that when we made the reservation based on the dinner menu, there was no indication at all that the menu would be more limited for NYE. For the most part we enjoyed our meals, but we booked NYE dinner at Food 101 based on the full dinner menu. In the future, guests should be notified that the menu is limited and the menu for a special night such as NYE should be available online as well.

    Excellent experience on New Year's Eve. Everyone's meal was phenomenal. Our server was great and the manager checked in as appropriate. We enjoyed taking our time from start to finish with cocktails through dessert. It was nice to see some new things on the menu since our last time there. A terrific neighborhood spot!
