Not impressed. Second shot for this place and they failed again. Service is terrible, food is mediocre. Would not recommend
The food is amazing. However, the service changes the overall experience. They were short staffed. Many employees were upset and throwing tantrums because their falcons' team took a loss. So unprofessional.
Our waiter left in the middle of our e-mail and we were left with one waitress who was taking care of the whole restaurant.
It's time for you to revisit Food 101. 101 is playing its "A" game again! The return of Chef Ron, who was one of the original chefs when the restaurant first opened is turning out many of the 101 classics plus some new offerings...all with great consistency. The appetizer pastrami gravlax is a special treat. Also the bar program features several barrel aged Manhattan drinks that are worth the trip.
It felt a little overpriced for the quality of the food. The fried chicken came out warm and soggy, obviously sat under the warmer for a while. The wife’s blackened salmon was overly spicy (even for me). The meat and cheese board was decent, but nothing special. We really liked 101 Steak, but Food 101 just didn’t quite measure up.
Fab food and great service- as always.
Very average unimaginative food. Have had much better cheaper meals at Carrabbas. Based decision to go here upon the 4 star open table rating. 4 of us had different dishes and no one said they would come back again. Now I am going to have trouble trusting the open table reviews. I should have been suspicious when there were many reservations available on a Friday night
Got the New Years Eve special - Pork Tenderloin. was good but way to much meat for one person. Would have been better (and more value for money) if size of meat was smaller but plate added some sides to make it more tasty.
Service was slow, our server could not explain a dish that I asked about. Food and Bloody Mary just ok.
My husband and I had a great time. We had never been there before, and enjoyed every moment. Ashley was a great server. He enjoyed the ribs, which was very tender. I enjoyed the steak salad and 3 side that I had to take home. We would definitely return and request Ashley''s section!
We had a 0730 reservation and arrived early for our annual Christmas eve dinner out. The waitress was rushed, short and curt in her answers. We had to ask multiple times for the "specials" and the restaurant was already out of a number of items. The food took extremely long to come to the table after ordering and was cool-cold, and the salmon appeared under-cooked. The item we asked for "to go" (the short ribs) for our son who was working that night was incorrect as we were given the chicken. Most importantly, the manager never came to the table to apologize for the delays, we never got an explanation, and it was clear that a number of other customers left without getting their food.
Overall a very disappointing dinner on every level.
We went for brunch on Christmas Eve and it was amazing. The service was absolutely great. The Steak Benedict was wonderful. Unfortunately we went too early for cocktails. Will definitely dine here again.
The service was excellent. We felt at home. Will definitely return and recommend.
Second time in a week! The menu and service are outstanding. Both the carnivores and vegetarians in my family had a great meal. I love the atmosphere. It is hip and very comfortable.
The executive committee of our organization met at Food 101 during lunch. The food was amazing and the service was great. It is a really nice atmosphere and I can't wait to come back.
The fried chicken dinner was fabulous! Chicken was tender and moist and the mashed potatoes were perfect. Can't wait to go back and try the chicken again!
The food was TERRIFIC! I highly recommend Food 101.
There was a nice selection of food offered during the Sunday brunch. Each dish ordered was delicious with good sized portions. I would've provided a five star experience, but the alcohol beverages weren't impressive. The mimosas had a better value, and you were able to pour your own glass.
Food was good but service was very slow and the restaurant was very noisy!
On a recent Saturday night visit, Food 101 was almost empty. Deservedly so. 101 Concepts has managed to ruin what was once a very good restaurant. A completely revised menu has replaced long time favorites with dishes that are bland and unappetizing. Highly competent and friendly veterans of the wait staff are all gone. The new chef is reported to be deaf to criticism. Staff morale is reported to be very low. While loyal customers for many years, we won't be back.
Birthday celebration was awesome. Great food, great service. Lingered for a long time!
Dish had to be remade and instead of taking bAck piece of chicken that was a problem the whole dish was taken to be remade. When it came back, the chicken on the plate was 1/2 the size of the original chicken I had. Server was nice, but really should have noticed especially since dish arriving incorrectly was his entry of the order
Fantastic food and service. Meatloaf, chicken and pork dishes were all delicious!
It was very average. Eggs were not that great. Service excellent but for the price and location I expected food to be MUCH better. Probably will not return.
Really looking forward to going back to have brunch .
Looking forward to new management / executive chef. Was a little surprised to see most current Health Dept review. DIdn’t feel Thanksgiving lunch was quite up to expectations.
We went for Thanksgiving this year (2017). We absolutely love this restaurant and go every other year for thanksgiving. While the all the food was good I was sad to see the lamb left the menu. The maple braised brussel sprouts were very pungent with oregano and thyme to the point that I couldn’t stomach them. Please know that I am just giving you constructive criticism, I understand the holidays get busy but maybe have the option of over-seasoning on the side. We will be back as I stated, we love this restaurant.
We had a GREAT time at this Thanksgiving feast! The food was excellent with many choices on the sides and delicious plates served up for appetizers and desserts. BRAVO to the house team for pulling this event off PERFECTLY!!
The manager met me and my date at the hostess station and immediately sat us down. The waiter was professional and informed us of the specials on the night's menu. The food was prepared in a timely fashion and we did not have to wait long for our food. Overall, experience was good.
Pretty good neighborhood bar/restaurant. We sat in the bar area to enjoy a football game. Service was excellent, food was good, a little salty. The chef did come out to visit us and each table asking our opinion. Will go back and try other menu items another time.
The meatloaf was outstanding and our server was the perfect balance of attentive and giving us space.
The Saturday Brunch was excellent, with a wide variety of selections. The server was very accommodating and efficient. I will definitely return to try more items.
Chef came to table to check on us which was nice. Food was excellent - Had seared scallops. Was one of my best meals ever.
Service exceptional! Real pros work here.yadayadayada
Empty tables. Mussels watery.
Dinner salad limp and nothing.
Meat loaf not as good as it use to be
New York Special Chocolate Cake very stale.
Not a good birthday celebration.
Upscale place with a new South cuisine menu. Plates were well presented and the food was good. For a Saturday night when we were there it was not very busy, plenty of parking available.
Ordered the halibut, wasn't as fresh as I'd hoped , next time I'll get something else . Everything else food wise was great .
Food 101 is relaxing and reliable -- a perrect place for dining with friends.
Do not order the ribs!
