Enjoyed the gumbo soup, meatloaf and fried chicken. Excellent service. Visited from NY...we’ll be back.
Very good time. Very good food.
Great restaurant. The trout was superb
It was good, but the menu is very limited. The bar was busy.
Out of a few things. Menu online didn't match. Small portion size on calamari.
We went here for the first time for a date night. We had a wonderful experience. The restaurant wasn't busy when we went so we had excellent service.
We've been coming on T-giving for the past 5 years, and this year was very disappointing...portions reduced, food overcooked...service was good, but, overall was disappointing, especially since we'd had good experiences in years past...lost us!-and, we are sad about that, because we like to support local businesses!
Food 101 is consistently great for food, drink and ambience. Something for everyone.
Had a nice Saturday date lunch.
Had dinner at Food101 last week and wish I had frequented this neighborhood gem more often ! Their new menu has some lighter and healthier options which were fantastic. We started with some of their hand-crafted cocktails along with warm bread that was brought to the table. The service was outstanding, the chef made a point to stop by and say hello. Highly recommend !
Delicious food with a southern flair, attentive service for our large party and inviting, warm atmosphere. We enjoyed our visit!
Good value, good menu choices save for desserts. Reliable.
My wife and I visited for our anniversary. This was our second visit and we had high expectations because our first experience was so wonderful. Tonight we were just a little disappointed at our service. The food was excellent, our server was very attentive and nice, but she just didn’t seem to know the menu. When I ordered my cocktail, she seemed a little confused about which one. Later when it was time to order entrees, I asked about the the short rib and the sauce, and she admitted she had never had it, and it was clear she did not know anything about it. Again, we understood. Finally, we asked about the egg cream dessert, a house specialty and again we couldn’t get any information about it and were finally told that they didn’t have the ingredients for it. None of these were unforgivable. We ultimately enjoyed great food and please know that the service was very attentive. We just wish we could have learned a little more about some of the dishes. Overall things were very good. And we did share with the executive chef and manager, and both were very receptive. We will be back!
I thought the food was disgusting. I decided to try this restaurant again, which I have been to in the past, since I have now moved nearby. It is worst than ever. I was there on Sunday evening. My husband and I were the only people in the dining room. Three ladies were eating on the patio. That was still the case when we left at 7:30. I had the fish and it was terrible. I could not eat it. The veggies were in a horrible heavy sauce. My husband's meat was well done, rather than medium rare. I told the server that I would pay for my dish but it was horrible. She took it off the bill. The owners should sell the place. They need to post a warning sign out front saying, "Bad food inside. Proceed at your own peril." I felt sorry for the server. Sell!
This as my Thor time eating at Food101. I am never disappointed. Met an old friend frat to catch up. She enjoyed the meal will definently come back. Hey
I loved every minute. The food was great (we had the fillet medallions and the salmon special), and so we're our drinks. The service was excellent with almost no waiting time for our food or drinks. We will definitely be back. The prices are a bit high but worth every penny.
Brian was our Server and he was really attentive. He was very engaged and courteous.
The short rib burrito was a little oily and Bland, the seafood pasta was shrimp was amazing. Overall food 101 was good.
Great dining experience for a business meal. The menu options and chef recommendations were right on target. Unusual combinations (Short rib burrito, for example) were intriguing and delicious.
Food choices were great and very fresh. Food was over salted.
Waiter was very discreet and patient while we conducted our business before ordering dinner. Food was delicious and the service was great!
Was ok at best. It was my first time, however my friend had been there several times in the past and commented that it was not the Food 101 of the past. The service was very good; the food - ok - nothing groundbreaking.
The food was just...okay. My dayr had the meat loaf. She was not a fan. Me the ribs, jusr okay. Nothing special. Other than that nice restaurant.
Perfect location to meet friends before/after Chastain Park events. We ate at the bar and the wait staff were fun/engaging/attentive -- 100% prefection
The restaurant was totally empty almost the entire time we were there. We could not figure out why it was so empty.
We were looking for a special but convenient place for a small family gathering. We found Found 101 from a google search; it is now a keeper! We were in the small private room which turned out to be just perfect for the older hard of hearing members of the group! Food and service were outstanding!
For the price that was paid for the dinner, the food did not meet expectations. Meatloaf was enjoyable, but seemed expensive for what was served. Grouper was extremely salty and inhibited from overall taste. The spinach artichoke dip with bagel chips was excellent and very enjoyable.
There were 5 of us who went here for a birthday dinner. The service was very good, the ambiance was very good, prices for meals and wine were very reasonable. The only problem was that the food was just very average at best. From the meatloaf to the fried chicken to the special of chicken parm---it was all just average. The bread was fabulous and the key lime pie was very good. Again--everything about the restaurant was good--outside of the food. Sorry!!!!!
Ordered the chicken and waffles and the waffle was soggy. Just ok with the other entrees. Would definitely try other places for brunvh
I really enjoyed this small, tucked away food joint in Sandy Springs! The waiter was amazing and the food was spectacular. I was al little worried about service and the quality of my food since I came in 30 until closing, but everything was amazing. I will be returning.
My wife ordered a shrimp dish and when it came there were only three shrimp. We called the waitress over and she agreed the meal was incomplete and she would bring more shrimp. we waited for her to bring moe while I finished my meal. Still more shrimp did not come even after we tried to get the waitress' attention and we told the manager and another waitress. Finally it did come and the taste was acceptable. They also took the plate off the bill but we would have preferred to have good service.
Nice people. Nice place. Food is average for an above average price (not a premium price). I’ve been twice now when Traveling in Atlanta. Not the place for me again.
The meal was very ordinary. Each of our four meals made it to our table very slowly with yawing gaps of time in between. The meats were room temperature and the salad was extremely underwhelming. They should call the spinach dip “not better than Houston’s”
Brunch food was very good but very small quantities for cost. Bread was extra charge, biscuit $2.50. Added shrimp to a salad was $9 for 3 large shrimp. Skinny brunch dish featuring asparagus only had a few thin spears.
Old favorite restaurant with a new friend.
Everything was ok but noting exceptional. Wasn't mad I went but see no reason to return.
Very disappointed. Ordered meal and cheese appetizer before ordered entrees. Got entrees and appetizer had not been done. Ordered club soda with lemon. Came with lime. Asked for straws to use with water. Brought limes. Food was okay. Fried chicken did not specify filet on menu. Plus server did not have me chose small or large portion. Was brought small.
Disappointed and will not go back.
I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant. My first time there was a year ago and everything was perfect and the restaurant was packed. The last two times I've been there, it's been empty. I understand why. The quality of the food has gone down hill.
Someone sitting at a table across from me ordered the same item I did. She got hers first and I heard her complaining to the manager about how it tastes. I know everyone has different preferences, so I hoped mine would be better. It wasn't. I had the same exact problem with the meal the other guest had. Our two tables also ended up not getting the appetizers we ordered, where, in our case, they brought it out with our food. We sent it back.
All of this was explained to the manager, but he made no effort to try to make things better. He was more like, "thank you for your feedback" and he walked away. I will also be walking away from this restaurant permanently.
