   Sunday lunch for 4 people. excellent choice on menu and Good value for money in my view. service was excellent. my particular favourites was the ham hock terrine with some delicious pickles as a starter. The roast beef main was also excellent accompanied by a very nice bottle of primativo. Will be back soon!

   We have eaten in Fontana before and had a good experience but last night the service was very poor, we had to ask for menus and water and it was all very slow. Whilst the food was fantastic the portions were extremely small, especially since the bill came to more than £400 for 4 people. Disappointing unfortunately.

    Food was excellent. Meats literally fall apart they are so well cooked and succulent. Staff are polite and efficient. Ambience was nice and not overally loud or cramped for a Saturday night.

    This is a great restaurant with well cooked food. We had a 3-course meal for around £30. £5 supplement for steak. Our first outing to this restaurant and we are going back in the future.

    Everything was perfect my only complaint would be the potato portion was tiny . I hadn't eaten all day as I was saving myself for the meal I shared the beef filet and that was great but when it came to the potatoes nahhh for £128.00 for two and in comparison to the large amount of filet , the potato portion was barely visable

    The food does indeed live up to their recent Michelin best new restaurant award. Great presentation, excellent service, creative dishes. Some areas for them to think about - it felt a little noisier than I expected; the desserts were not to the same standard as starters (exquisite) and mains. The crème brûlée was not enhanced by the piped cream or coffee and the mille feuille pastry was not quite as it should be.

    Fontana deserves the title of the ‘Worlds Best Restaurant’. The food is ALWAYS consistently amazing, as is the choice on the menu. The food is also reasonably priced, considering Fontanas excellent reputation and now being in The Michelin Guide (very well deserved!) I simply couldn’t fault this place even if I was paid to - and that is the sentiment of my partner and family/friends as well.

    We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch at Fontana. The service and food were excellent. We have eaten here a few times before and have always found the same high standard. Definitely worth trying.

    John Dorey and roast cod were fabulous! BlackBerry pannacotta was excellent too. This restaurant deserves its reputation for high class cuisine.

    Overall a very good meal - its a great spot - a little noisy at times but that was particular customers, & you cant do much about that (tho a great restaurant I was in once, had lighting that went very bright above the noisy table/s). Service & food first class, and only suggestion to improve the offering would be a better variety of gluten free desserts - a GF apple crumble would be fabulous as an alternative to the bland panna cotta or creme brulee which are fairly standard! AND NORMAL humans (non GF !!) have been known to actually eat and enjoy the GF made with corn flower options, so shouldn't go to waste.

    Visited for Sunday Lunch. Only 5 tables taken so very quiet yet seated at a table at the entrance to the kitchen. Nice tables were left empty. Ordered Lamb but none left! With only 17 covers at the service??? Repetitive techno music on PA system totally out of character with the restaurant. We had to wait at least 25 mins between courses even when we were the only table left in the restaurant waiting for our desserts and coffee. Would hate to be there if it was busy. Not the fault of the waiting staff, the chefs were really slow but did seem to have time to chat away to themselves and other staff. Owner/Manager seemed oblivious or uninterested. I don't complain at the time as prefer to review restaurants initial offerings. Definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant and won't be back.

    What a great restaurant! Casual (in a good way) and friendly service, delicious food, a great wine list and a lovely environment. And this was the Christmas menu! Looking forward to my next visit.
